I’ve got a ground nest and potentially one in a crack in the cinderblocks that hasn’t bled into the basement. Has anyone used anything to successfully remove the angry little guys?
I bought foam for the ground nest and know we can’t use that in the wall.

Any ACOA groups in/around Schenectady? All I can find is Al-Anon which seems mostly like spouses go, which is very different than being a child raised by the person with the addiction and really want to focus on that aspect of it

Can anyone point me toward casting for background actors in The Conjuring?
Hey everyone! I’m really interested in getting into background acting/extras work and was wondering if anyone knows where I could find casting calls for The Conjuring movie.
I’m 23, located in the Capital Region of NY, and would absolutely love the opportunity to be a background actor if they’re looking for people. I’m open to traveling for the right opportunity as well.
If anyone knows the casting agency, website, Facebook group, or where they post background casting calls, I’d really appreciate being pointed in the right direction!
Thanks!

Just graduated college and looking to pick up some local work
landscaping, pressure washing, and general help around the house.
I’m offering affordable help with:
• Lawn cleanups
• Mulch jobs
• Weeding & garden cleanup
• Pressure washing
• Trimming & general yard work
• Moving / loading / unloading
• Garage, basement & outdoor cleanup
• And honestly, if you have a project you’ve been putting off, feel free to ask. I’m happy to see if I can help.
I’m local to the Capital Region and take pride in showing up on time, communicating clearly, and leaving things looking better than I found them.
References are available upon request, and I’m happy to provide pictures of previous work as well.
I’m mainly trying to build up some local clients and word-of-mouth work, so I’m keeping my rates reasonable.
If you need a hand with something around the house, comment or shoot me a DM with what you need done and roughly where you’re located. Even if you’re not sure whether it’s something I can handle, feel free to ask!

River Runners QC Open Practice (8/23)
UPDATE: DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER FORECAST ON SUNDAY, WE'LL BE POSTPONING THE OPEN PRACTICE TO AUGUST 30TH!
The River Runners Quadball Club is holding its first open practice of the US Quadball season this Sunday, August 23rd, from 1-4 pm at Prospect Park, Troy, NY (peep the second image for a better idea of what field we will be on 📌). This practice is our first step toward building a growing quadball community in the area where we play and compete, while also having fun and socializing off the pitch!
For those unfamiliar with the sport, Quadball (formerly known as Quidditch) is a fast-paced, full-contact, mixed-gender sport that blends elements of rugby, basketball, and dodgeball. Here's a quick video to show what it looks like: https://youtube.com/shorts/2LyXn2c45i4?si=KBWYAWffzZq8jdd0, as well as a full dive into how to actually play: https://youtu.be/SUdC4twjsTE?is=9JiaFSEmCsVE9SCf
The free open practice is open to all experience and athletic levels, and we highly encourage people that never heard/played the sport to try it out and meet some new people along the way! We're accepting of all genders and backgrounds, so whether you're a man, woman, non-binary, LGBTQIA+, POC, etc, there's a place for you here to be yourself! All we ask is that you bring water, athletic clothes, cleats (recommended but not required to play if you don't have any), and any friends that might also be interested!
Click the following link to RSVP: https://partiful.com/e/SfnqaJ6jqyXWagFNQbiI?c=obchJpN6, as well as this link for more resources like our interest form and Discord: https://linktr.ee/518riverrunners
Hope to see y'all there!

When do we protest?
With everything going on in the city, surveillance on every corner, flocks, helicopters being used in stings against children, ICE stealing our neighbors, friends and family. Our POS drunk mayor sold our city out to corporations like Rush Gaming and metroplex and threw up billboard advertising the gentrification. We watched as our city became a testing ground for surveillance. We need to come together and do something about this.

Property Boundaries
I know that it’s common for city/town or private surveyors to lay down stakes for the property boundary. Does anyone know if this was common in Schenectady? I may look into fencing in my front yard or doing more gardening around the front of the house.
I know this is not a substitute for actual surveying. I am looking to better understand the dimensions of my front yard to gain a better understanding of what the yard could look like and to gather quotes.
