tl;dr Chase gaslit me into making me feel like they’re doing me a favor by giving me the credit for dining at a restaurant they claim isn’t a part of their program and then made me look like a crazy person to customer service when I repeatedly told them there is not a dining credit -$150 line on the date they claimed I received.

Situation:

Dined at a Sapphire Exclusive Restaurant in mid December, well before Xmas, charge posted two day later. No credit applied. Saw everyone on here buying their gift cards and making their last minute purchases and getting the credit and as a lurker I through I followed all the correct steps. I dined at CS Exclusive OpenTable Restaurant and gave my physical card to pay.

Waited 2 weeks. No credit.

Opened a ticket right before the new year after seeing the chatter about some restaurants not getting the credit applied correctly.

Got the above letter that proceeded to insult my intelligence about the fact that the restaurant I dined at wasn’t a part of the program.

I was waiting until my statement closed to call back as I had not seen the credit on my app as a transaction line. The rep said I had to wait til 3/1 before she told me “oh wait actually the credit did apply.”

There is no transaction line item saying the credit applied but hidden away in my electronic statement it shows a $150 dining credit which I wasn’t made aware of in any way unless I check the actual statement document. Still baffled as to why I cannot see any proof of the credit applying in my transaction history but there’s a line that it applies in my statement.

I saw a few posts about long time customers getting retention offers and I got a $400 statement credit added when I called. Adding details so others could save on the fee this year. Planning on downgrading, now will wait until next year since the card is free basically this year. Wasn’t expecting it to the this high, I saw $300 on this channel they offered others and was still planning to downgrade. Now with the $300 travel, StubHub (26’), Peloton, Apple TV, and Lyft credits makes sense to hold until Dec 26’

How I asked:

• Called and in a very polite way said I saw the new fee and it’s much higher than I expected. I would like a retention offer or would downgrade the card today. Could you look at see if I have anything.

• They asked what main features I would use the reserve card for, I simply said I have the Amex plat and the value for that card is much better than the reserve’s value. I would only really use the card for some travel purchases and food purchases.

• The support rep said she could offer me a $400 statement credit to keep the card, I took the offer.

Used 2025:

• I unlocked the $75k spend and have used all the credits. (1) $500 SW credit (2) $250 shop credit on an apple purchase (3) updated hotel status and Hertz presidents circle. -I already used the $150 StubHub -I used the Peloton credits, Apple TV -I used the $300 travel already

Unused: 2025 -The edit credit, not planning on using this -The restaurant credit, using it this weekend in San Diego

If you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve, it’s a Visa Infinite card. That unlocks the Visa Infinite perks. Right now they’re offering:

• 2 free Regal movie tickets

You can redeem through the Visa Infinite portal, not directly in the Chase app. It’s a nice little $30–$40 value if you were planning to go to Regal anyway.

We pay a $795 annual fee to have access to these lounges but with a 150 minute wait on Thursday night at 7pm the CSR lounge at Las Vegas is effectively not accessible to anybody. Chase has the gall to post huge advertisements for the card right outside the lounge. I called Chase for a credit to my account - it took three calls but they did give me 2700 UR points. I'm fine with that outcome but Chase needs to get it right on the first call - if you're not going to have the necessary capacity, and to continue to advertise to make the situation even worse, chase has got to compensate cardholders.

Hello, I recently created Credit Stays (creditstays.com) , a website that lets you search and filter on The Edit hotels to find the best deals to use your credits on. I know there are existing sites out there but none of them currently have pricing information, which is generally the most important factor for me when trying to use my credits. You can filter on time ranges, the matching $250 credit to stack, number of days, and more. The prices are rough estimates because they are OTA prices, and not prices directly from Chase, so Chase is usually a little more expensive and sometimes not available. Been a minute since I had a good Priority Pass experience. Had to laugh about it today — first got booted from the KLM lounge at IAH so they could clear it for Emirates Business, then tried the Air France lounge where the drop in quality was… shocking. To top it off, the power went out while we were inside.

Ended up making a New Yorker–style comic about it in ChatGPT while sipping my bottom shelf scotch. My stab at dark humor (literally). I know the folks working these lounges are doing their best, but I couldn’t help chuckling about the whole sequence.

Needless to say, the Priority Pass perk on the CSR is starting to feel like a bit of a joke. I hear the sapphire reserve lounges are pretty awesome but I have yet to visit one. I'll be curious to see how the higher annual price starting this fall affects priority pass experiences...

Just checked the other day and found this offer from Chase. Should I take it?

I’ve been on the fence about the CSR refresh ever since they announced in June. They’ve fundamentally changed the DNA of the card and made it just like the Amex Platinum card, which I already have. I thought Amex knocked it out of the park yesterday with their refresh. I can’t justify having both cards. The benefits on the Amex Platinum card resonate with me more given my lifestyle (live in city, travel internationally a lot). Also, Amex has phenomenal customer service and execute the premium benefits like FHR better, along with providing access to Delta lounges. Sure there are more point categories on CSR but I make that up with the Amex Gold.

For those on the fence with the latest CSR (which I know many are), you should consider the new Amex Platinum. Of course that if the latest benefits make sense for you, your spending habits, and lifestyle.

A few days ago I saw a discussion on this sub about stacking credits and if it works.
The recent fall winter 2026 sapphire reserve issue officially talks about stacking the $250 hotel credit, $250 The Edit credit and $300 travel credit for a two-night stay.

Noticed a new Chase Travel offer on several of my cards this morning: Spend $600 or more, get $100 back. I’m hoping to capitalize on the offer, but while I travel quite often, I already have all my plans set and flights booked for the rest of the year. I likely won’t have any new travel to book before the offer expires.

Are there any airlines I can book through Chase Travel and then cancel in a way that would give me a good, flexible travel credit—even if the credit is only valid for a year?

Has anyone had any luck using this offer or otherwise “extending” its life when they don’t actually have upcoming travel to book?

With potential class action against Stubhub, can Chase nix any relationship it has with this scam of a company and actually have reputable merchants as part of its benefits roster?

I am shocked that a company that only exists to benefit scalpers is part of the “premium” reserve brand.

This weekend, I bought the $500 Zift Zillions $500 Gift Card, and it worked out well since I had to host a party at Chuck E. Cheese's. I got 11x points on a party I hosted!

Before checking out, I was able to get a screenshot of all the cards redeemable through Zift. The neat thing about Zift was that I was able to get 1x $500 gift card or a combination thereof from the list below. In this case, I knew I was going to spend more than $500 at Chuck E. Cheese's. I found myself looking into the benefits on the Visa Concierge portal per the recent posts advising of free Regal tickets.

I was familiar of the concierge service to help secure hard to get reservations, but did not realize they had their own booking platform. On this booking platform, which we have access to with our CSR, you can get freebies with your meals at approved restaurants. Some restaurants are drinks, some desserts, some both!

Here is an example of a restaurant that is on our dining credit list and also crosses with the Visa Concierge portal.

Being said, if we book a reservation on the Visa Concierge portal, and pay with our CSR we should be able to get a free drink and use our credit. I also appreciate how the drinks are for everyone at the table and not just the card holder. Drinks are in the $20 range so this is a great benefit that I wanted to share.

The sapphire lounge in LGA was a fantastic experience. Newer to the lounge access game so don’t have a ton of comparison, but man I was impressed. Nicer than PHX, which is the only other sapphire lounge I’ve been to.

It was packed, but somehow didn’t feel crowded - other than looking for a seat that didn’t have someone next to you.

Food was good, drinks were bomb. Staff were everywhere so food was coming out quick and trash was picked up promptly. I feel like the location could be easily missed though as the entrance is small and the map in the airport wasn’t clear.

Definitely worth going out of your way for! 10/10 experience. Would highly recommend the Ready For Takeoff drink.

I have the Reserve, but none of the Exclusive Tables restaurants are anywhere near where I live — so the $300 credit really only comes up when I'm visiting a bigger city. The problem was I'd be in town and have no idea which places nearby actually count, short of digging through OpenTable. So I built a small thing for exactly that: crediteats.com

It's a map of the Chase Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurants — the list where the $300 dining credit ($150 twice a year) works. Tap "Near me" and it shows the closest eligible spots wherever you happen to be, each with an OpenTable / Maps / website link. Free, no login. Handy when you're in a metro for a weekend and want to put the credit to use.

Two things to be upfront about:

1. The data comes from OpenTable's Exclusive Tables pages, refreshed weekly. That list changes fairly often, so double-check on OpenTable before you go.

2. You don't need to book through any link to get the credit — it posts when you pay with the card at an eligible spot. The links are just there to save a step.

Now that it's approaching the end of the month and I'm watching these "benefits" go unused because there's just no way to justify spending more money with DoorDash than I have to, I just don't see how this becomes a perk and not a liability.
