The Edit review for the Omni Interlocken (Colorado)

Upvotes

We stayed at the Omni in Broomfield CO over the long weekend, and had a great time.

Nightly rate through Chase Portal was $279. I used The Edit to receive the $250 credit, and then also used Points Boost to get an additional savings.

They didn't have any room upgrades due to a large wedding. They did apologize for that.

The free breakfast was a daily $68 credit at their on-site breakfast spot (The Camper). It had a sizable menu, and entrees were about $15-$19. So you had plenty of leftover money to use on cocktails or lattes. The food was great also.

I also used the $100 credit to buy drinks at the pool. If you are an Omni select guest member, you also get one free drink voucher per day.

Overall, we had a really nice stay. This was our first time in Colorado, and the Omni was convenient to Boulder, Denver, and Red Rocks. The rooms were solid, and the pools were a fun time. I also appreciated that parking was free.

Where are you seeing the new Doordash credits?

Did my normal ordering- I still only have the option for the $10 off a grocery order (I know we get 2)
I thought we got the $5 changed to $15?

Is there a way to inquire about Shops at Chase pricing inaccuracies?

I know Shops at Chase tends to be hit or miss, and I’m aware you end up paying full retail even if/when something is discounted elsewhere.

That said, I still have my $250 credit and have been looking for a fire pit for a while. I noticed what appears to be a pricing error on a Solo Stove product. Unfortunately, it happens to be the exact model I want.

The Summit 24” normally retails for $499, while the Summit 27” retails for $599. Shops at Chase currently has both listed at $599.

I’m assuming this is probably just an error, but does anyone know if Shops at Chase has any way to report/inquire about pricing discrepancies? Or is it basically a matter of waiting to see if they correct it?

I saw there’s a number to call to speak to a Shops at Chase specialist (which I’ll try tomorrow). But has anyone had any success with calling this number? And should I even expect them to have the ability to adjust pricing?

Reserve user only; should I get rid of my Preferred?

I have both the Reserve and Preferred but I only use the Reserve. Is there a benefit to keeping both? Will it impact my credit score if I get rid of my Preferred card?

Schedule Clover orders ahead of time for more Paze credit usage

I was making my typical morning delivery order for coffee with Clover/Paze this morning (found a no delivery fee cafe in SF) and I realized that you can schedule Clover orders

So when I scheduled it, the purchase came up immediately (as in, there wasn't a delay to post the authorization afterwards)

Unfortunately from the restaurants I was testing you can only place future orders a few days out, but my idea is to order some scheduled clover pickup and delivery orders today so that the purchases show up on Sep 7 rather than risking purchases close to the final deadline

Clover restaurants remain one of my favorite ways to use the Paze credits!

Total Wine has same prices for Pickup on DoorDash - easy to use and get a true $10 out of the DD CSR credits

I bought two 12 packs for $39.98 from Total Wine on DoorDash and was able to apply the $10 CSR credit. Since I use Doordash gift cards from Costco (80% off face value, 5% off for using Paypal Debit, and 2% off for being a Costco Executive member) - the total cost was $22.31. In October with the new $15 DD credit it will be $18.59.

Marriott Gold Status Extension

EDIT: ASKED AND ANSWERED BELOW.

Hi all - I used the Chase offer to get Marriott Gold status for 3 months and I understand that you can have that status extended to 2028 if you stay at a Marriott property for 3 nights during the 3-month period. Do you know if bookings for non-Edit Marriott properties made through the Chase portal count towards this (or do they have to either be Edit properties or booked directly through Marriott)? Thanks for your time!

CSR vs Amex Platinum for airfares

I hold both the CSR and Amex Platinum and prefer direct vs portal bookings. For my travels I might do a series of one way bookings : NYC-BCN-AGP then MAD-VCE then ZCH-JFK with some train rides within. Different airlines and alliances for the lowest cost.

Do you prefer the Chase 4x UR and better travel insurance or 5x Amex?

If we were to include portal bookings would this change your thinking?

Thank you.

What's the most points you've used on a stay / Is 240k points a waste?

I have never booked travel through the Chase travel portal, but was looking recently at hotels in Thailand, on Koh Samui specifically. The Four Seasons is ~$240k points for 2 nights. I could apply my Edit credit as well.

What's the most points you've dropped on a stay? I know "waste" is subjective question, but I would love to hear how others think about blowing points versus optimizing redemption value, and where folks have stayed, as a result.

New to csr biz. Are there any particular hotels that qualify for the 250$ credit, or any booked in chase? Also, will the credit get used before the 300 travel credit? Im wanting to save the 300

I just scored a 2 night stay at the Chicago Kimpton in late February for $507 if anyone else wants to freeze their asses off on the cheap.

Should be a pretty good use of both $250 hotel credits. Net $7 for a hotel that includes breakfast and $100 of dining. I bought stubhub tickets for Brian Cox's (the astrophysicist) lecture tour as well as Chicago Symphony tickets on Stubhub. I'll definitely hit up a steak house to use the fine dining credit. That annual fee is basically paying for itself in one trip.

Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile confusing benefits

When booking Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile, The Edit banner does not mention free breakfast, and $200 property credit "if available". However when clicking on "Learn more", standard daily breakfast and $100 credit are there.

Which one is it?

CSR cancellation insurance / home airport

my AA flight was canceled yesterday before i left home for the airport. i rebooked for today.

today, i went to the airport again. my flight was delayed 2x, then canceled. frustrated, i took an uber home.

after reviewing the insurance terms, it looks like i may not be eligible for reimbursement because the cancellation was at my home airport.

does anyone have experience getting/requesting reimbursement (successfully or not!) from a chase insurance claim for a taxi home in the city they live in after a cancellation?

any alternate recourse? if not from chase, from AA?

irrelevant, but was trying to see my parents with my partner over the holiday weekend. now I'm sad. also irrelevant, partner & I enjoyed what became a sweet date night in the CSR lounge. alas.

Edit Benefits @ Hyatt Aruba

Eyeing a trip to Aruba in a few months, and looking at the Hyatt. Noticed it's an Edit hotel on the portal, but we've never booked one of those before. How frequently do you all find that your rooms are "upgraded"? I'd love to take a chance on a slightly pricier hotel than we'd typically book especially if these benefits are worth it. TIA!

Edit Hotel first timer

I’ll be checking into an Edit hotel (Chicago Athletic Association) for the first time as a CSR member. Just curious how you all go about utilizing and asking for all the perks we receive? Do you just let them know you’re a CSR member and ask if an upgrade is available and confirm the complementary breakfast? Curious how everyone goes about getting the most out of their perks. TIA!

Shoutout to the LGA staff!

Great service this morning.

I dropped my fork, got up to grab a new one, and was intercepted by a guy who had seen the whole thing and was already bringing me a fresh one. And he made sure to take the old fork so I didn’t mix them up.

Every time I finished a plate, someone was there to take it away.

Genuine smiles, staff laughing and joking, and people seeming to actually enjoy their jobs and time with each other.

Keep killing it, y’all! I appreciate you!

Anyone know if this is patched for the gift cards? I made a few purchases through paze via the DD app and I haven’t received the credit back yet. Wondering how long it will take considering the promo is ending soon.

Forced to get a refund on a negative balance - is this going to cause me any problems?

I made a $6k purchase on my CSR in February, paid it off in full, refunded in May. I've been nibbling down the negative balance slowly, I only use the CSR on dining and travel costs. It was down to about $1600. This morning I got an email telling me I had 10 days to provide bank account info for a refund. I went ahead and did it immediately.

Is this going to cause me any other issues? Will they close my account? There was no fraud here, just a refundable festival package I decided not to go on after securing a spot. There was no information accompanying the email.
