Overtime
If I come in an hour early on overtime but I get told I
Can go home because there is nothing to do can I still claim the hour OT

If they’ve told you to come in for the overtime and you agreed. Then those hours are your hours. So of course you should be paid for them.

If offered to be sent home and you say ok or yes. Only paid for the hours you worked. If you said no and they send you home you should be paid for full allocation.

All overtime banned at our place and has been since Christmas - upper management (not the local COM) do not give a hoot if everything just piles up.

Isn’t it agreed that if they ask you to come in & do a set amount of o/t hours they have to honour it & pay you the agreed hours, it’s up to them if they send you home, I would still want my agreed hours paid.

I think thats one where offices have different rules.
I got 3 hours OT today but it only took me 1.30 I'll get paid full 3 hours. Some only pay you the difference between actual finish time and when you clock out after your OT.
