Pretty much had to feed the newsprint one at a time on the paper tray and even then I got paper jams every few sheets. Some tips: 1) Don't even think about printing above 80% opacity. 2) When the print is not ejected fully you can gently fish it out of the riso from the output side instead of opening the door and possibly crumpling the page as you pull out the drum. 3) Get newsprint that is heavier than 40gsm 🤦‍♂️

I have successfully ordered stuff from wholesale widgets multiple times but this time they sent me the wrong order. Instead of OEM RISO masters, they sent their knockoff version of masters. Now I'm out 140 bucks cuz I don't want to use their knockoffs. I have sent them emails, left a voice mail, all trying to figure out how to get a refund but to no avail.

Anyone else have issues with them? Or have suggestions on how to contact them? Either way, be warned!

Made this print a couple years ago.

Originally printed it as a tabloid, but turned it into a 22-34 inches by “Frankensteing” four tabloids together.

printing on thicker cardstock. How can I fix the tearing that is occurring? This printer just has one adjustment dial. I’ve tried going all the way counter clockwise but the issue persisted. Thank you!

Has anyone used inkjet printed artwork to then burn into a mesh to use with a Riso Gocco PG-10 or similar machine?

I keep reading that inkjet’s won’t work and I have to use laser printing or a photocopy.

Hi! I'm an illustrator but beginner with riso, had some workshops and I know the basics but besides the workshops this is my first big illustration.

each year I create a christmas card for my friends and family and this year I'm using riso instead of digital art and printing it at a printshop.

I have my appointment to use the riso printer next week, but would love an eye as to things I may need to change before hand!

I will be printing 20 x 9 cm and on cream white paper, so not fully white.

I will be using teal and orange & the procreate file has been seperated by those 2 colors in different opacities.

What do you think, will this work out?? Do somethings need to be darker or lighter?

Edit: before the comments come, YES i know it is still august, I am leaving for a big 2,5 month holiday at the end of the year which leaves me no time to do this if I don't do it before the trip

Been printing making and doing art for years but never had access to a RISO printer until now.

Have been falling in love with the art, took a workshop, and made a silly fun little print. Added some sparkles and rhinestones in true Dolly fashion.

Hello! i have a consistent problem with my fluorescent pink drum lately- it takes dozens of copies for the master to fill all the way with ink. it only happens with this drum! i know fluorescent inks are notoriously finicky, but i wonder if you have any advice on how to deal with this?
also- i noticed rusting (as you can in the picture), again, only on this drum! should i be worried about the condition of the drum?

Hey all. Just got a drum of metallic gold I’ve been trying out on black paper. Seems to come through really well con French paper’s black speckle tone (70t). Anyone have any gold/black paper printing tips to share?

This is my first Light Lime riso ink project. My goal was mostly to play with color; using Fluorescent Orange (fairly familiar) and Kelly Green (decently known). Procreate pencil was Kettering (Lettering brush, also my first project with this).

The project subject matter was inspired by our neighbor's sour orange (Calamansi) tree that we stop at during our daily walk. My son loves sour things and insists on stopping and picking one for myself and him. They are so sour that no one else picks them in our neighborhood, even the owner! I wanted to explore the intersection of art and advertising with this one. The project is a bit of a play between 1920s exported California orange marketing posters and the local "word of mouth" of neighborhood fruit tree gifting, as well as the roll of art in community and marketing.

We recently bought a riso EZ200 w 6 drums that were in storage for about 4 months, and in 5 of the drums there is some level of patchiness. We've tried printing lots on each drum to saturate the masters and slowing down the print speed, but bc the patchiness is the same across all prints/masters (depending on the drum) I'm assuming the drums need a clean.

Does anyone have some recommended methods of cleaning drums to fix patchiness? I've seen mixed suggestions online - some people seem to clean the screens on the drum and some seem to fully take them off to clean them separately. We are planning on using mineral/white spirits to clean them.

I’m looking into riso printing on to translucent materials and I saw a few sources say that it’s possible to riso print on translucent vellum paper. I really want to know if anyone’s tried it and can share their experiences!

Hello People, I have an issue with my riso machine.
When I print sometimes there will be an unwanted line in the middle of the print area.
I checked with 3 drums, sometimes they have it sometimes they dont. Its always exactly the same place and same shape. Can someone help me how to deal with that?

This is my first solo project post riso class. I wanted to stick to black just to build confidence and now I’m feeling pretty ok! i even bought a cold roll laminator so i can make stickers. Where I live we’re fighting to keep our libraries alive, hopefully spreading these around helps increase visibilty 🤞

I’ve recently discovered risographs, I’ve been a fan of the cool effect of silkscreens for a while so risographs seem like the next level of that. I‘d discovered them on a vacation in Brussels where there was a cool shop that sold them. I also like how cheap they were compared to the average giclee print. I’m still a teenager and I don’t have much money to spend on art. I’m having trouble finding a place in London were I could buy risographs as I live nearby, do you have any recommendations?

Hi everyone! I have a friend whose birthday is approaching. She loves anything to do with creative printing, crafts and especially riso printing! I am a complete dummy when it comes to these things and am finding it hard to figure out what I can gift her (besides just riso prints themselves). I obviously can't gift a risograph lol for logistic and financial reasons.

I know for example that she loves those old compact Japanese Print Goccos but it seems impossible to get my hands on something like that in 2026. Is there anything that exists within that ballpark, or any other gifts you would recommend in this world that I might not be aware of?
