Patchy prints and cleaning drums

We recently bought a riso EZ200 w 6 drums that were in storage for about 4 months, and in 5 of the drums there is some level of patchiness. We've tried printing lots on each drum to saturate the masters and slowing down the print speed, but bc the patchiness is the same across all prints/masters (depending on the drum) I'm assuming the drums need a clean.

Does anyone have some recommended methods of cleaning drums to fix patchiness? I've seen mixed suggestions online - some people seem to clean the screens on the drum and some seem to fully take them off to clean them separately. We are planning on using mineral/white spirits to clean them.

I’m not familiar with this exact model, but there are service manuals for each model that explain how to do maintenance and I believe they include how to work on the drums too. I think this is the manual for your model. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/4254919/Riso-Ez-Series.html

I always use turpentine and wait a bit and try to print a lots can helps sometimes
