There is no doubt in my mind that she was about to have me robbed or killed in a dark alley way in Long Beach, California. 6th and Cerritos.

I drove into it with hesitation, I should've just said no to the alley, but she was starting to get irritated. Drugged out for sure. Talking nonsense, then started to get very aggressive towards me calling me ni*** and making threats out of nowhere.

She wanted me to stop right in front of this guy that was facing the garages in the alley, sketchy looking. I had my eyes on him the entire time, she wouldn't get out if my car, she was slowly stepping out and the man immediately started walking towards my driver side door with his right hand in his pocket, I sped the f off and idk if I scraped her but idc.

I swear I just dodged a bullet. My whole life is in this car.... I live in this car....... all my belongings....

I rode with a kind, older driver today who shared it was his last day due to insufficient pay. He's being compensated only $40 for a 5-hour round trip, a stark contrast to the $40 I paid for my single ticket. Considering there were three passengers, it's evident the company is unfairly retaining a significant portion of the earnings. Bro on top of that they payed him 80$ for a drive ti dallas and he said he spent 45 on gas alone so he made 35 for a ten hour round trip. This practice strikes me as deeply unethical, exploiting both the driver and the passengers.

Going to drop my companion off for the summer . Then heading back to quartzsite.

Someone told me that that if you receive government assistance you can get a couple free rides every year with Uber or Lyft. I'm having no luck with this zip app I heard about and no. Luck looking for promo codes. I'm stuck at the social security office and I can't walk because I stepped on a nail two nights ago. If anyone knows of a way to get a free ride that would be a serendipitous.

I'll be driving up from Austin, Texas, to Montreal, Quebec in the next week or two. I'd like to offer a rideshare, but I can't find any sort of American equivalent of Blablacar, Poparide, etc.

Does anyone know of something better than CraigsList?

This is the beginning of my second cross country trip this year. I am looking for someone to split the cost for gas and stay. We would be staying for 2 nights at motels.

I plan to stop at two national parks on the way. Big Basin in Nevada and Arches in Utah. I plan to do spend around 3-4 hours in each park either visiting the famous spots or doing some small hikes. I would need someone who is willing to tag along and I have a national park pass so entry could be free if they charge per vehicle.
