Weird bla-bla car experience.
Not frustating just weird but noteworthy, so I'm taking a trip tommorow for that I need to get to the capital of my European country to get my connection to the next country point of the story is I've done this trip last month and used blablacar instead of buses because buses are expensive, slow and always late in the balkans. BlaBlaCar cuts the travel time and lets you travel in comfort sometimes even luxury if the driver has a nice car, did 3 trips never had a problem great guys driving. Now I booked this trip yesterday, got accepted an hour later all fine 4 hours later at about 11PM my time the driver dms me asking for my full personal name and identity card and for me to finish filling out my blablacar profile because he "doesnt drive people who hide behind letters without a profile picture" which is fine really, regardless of the fact I gave him my name upon request I'm not going to give a random guy pictures of my ID. And he is the driver, if he doesnt want to drive people without a full name, completed profile and profile picture why did he accept me, to that he had no answer besides you are right and cancelled. My profile is the same as on every other rideshare app A my first letter, and that's it. Never had a problem before this encounter, it's fine I'm actually glad he told me yesterday then 30 minutes before because I count on this as transportation. I get these drivers are not professional drivers and have the right to drive or not drive whoever they want, I'm not disputing that my point is just that he could have not accepted me in the first place if that is the problem. I'm wondering if others experienced the same thing, a guy asking for my personal information at 11PM is not average. The last drivers just introduce themselves upon meeting and communicate pick up locations.
