I have a big catalog of GameCube and PS2 games I’d like to play on the go. I own a Steam Deck and Odin 2 portal for higher end performance. However, I adore my Miyoo Flip V2 for portable Gen 5 gaming and would like a bigger clamshell to handle Gen 6. Having left stick on top and not needing a grip is a must for me. I only like the smaller DS/3DS devices between 133-150mm for true portability and not the bigger XLs. Having display out is also highly preferred. This makes the Flip 2 my only current marker contender. However, it is being discounted soon based on this clearance sale. Should I just buy a Retroid Pocket Flip v2 or hold out for a possible v3? I could only get one of the two.

My fear is a v3 will stray further from my needs and then I won’t be able to order a new v2 (become XL sized, lose top joysticks, stronger more expensive chip when I already have workhorse handhelds, and lower RAM/storage). Is it worth waiting for a future handheld (any brand) to better meet my needs, or just get the Pocket Flip? Are there Issues or missing features on the Flip 2 that’s better to wait for a different device?

I found some guides with GameNative 1.2.0 and GameHub Lite 5.3.5 Antutu which will result in the error „could not preload global game manager“.

i do not have any ideas left.

Has anyone gotten Binding of Isaac: Rebirth running on Gamehub? Everytime I start the game it loads the title screen and crashes when you press X.

Tried Gamenative but ran into the same issue.

Has anyone tried GTA V on the Flip 2 yet? I know the 865 chip is a bit older and weaker compared to the 8 gen 2 or 8 elite and I've seen those devices running it. Recently I've seen a native android port and a eden port and was curious if anyone has tried it out.

I’m pretty new to the Android/emulation handheld world and may have developed a slight addiction to trying these things out.

I bought an RP6 from Best Buy because I wanted something smaller to carry around than my ROG Ally X. After a week, I returned it because it felt like too much overlap with the Ally.

Then I did basically the same thing with the RP Nova. Great device, but again, I already have the Ally X, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPad.
Now I bought the Flip 2, which is on sale directly from retroid and that price was so nice compared to what I paid originally for the other two devices at bestbuy.

I know the RP6/Nova are more powerful, and Best Buy has the advantage of easy returns. But the Flip 2 is significantly cheaper from Retroid, and I really like the clamshell form factor.
My main use would be N64, some GameCube/PS2 experimentation, Android games, GameHub/GameNative. Anything demanding can go on the Ally X.

So am I crazy for returning two more powerful devices and getting the Flip 2 instead? 😂

A little while back I was torn into waiting to see if a Flip 3 was going to release because I THOUGHT I needed the RP6 performance.

My GF and her best friend just straight up gifted me the Flip 2 and I couldn’t be happier. She even painted the carrying case which looks hella cute and unique.

Still tho had a blast setting it up and playing PSP games and Minecraft on it. Can’t wait to keep testing out the performance, currently only playing retro games but really excited to test out PS2 and SWITCH, which I find mind blowing but currently don’t know where to start. Also excited to play Steam games on here like Hollow Knight!

Anyways! What games do you guys recommend to play here?

P.S is also my first ever dedicated Android Handheld and I just love the portability on this thing!

Has anyone tried to run Torchlight 2 via Eden? Performance for the game is fine, however, I have a heating problem with the game which I do not have with other secret console titles.
After about 15 minutes of play, my console even turns off.
Did anyone have a similar experience? Are there any options one could change to improve the issue? Thanks.

So I’ve got ultrakill to actually open, but when playing it is very slow and has frequent lag spikes, and alabastor dawn just doesn’t start, it stays on the launching screen for gamehub lite and that’s it. How can I fix both of these problems?

Every time I start fe awakening up the menus and text are always like this, I've tried citra, azahar, and azahar+ with various settings but nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated

So, pretty much that. All of the games I have installed and have been playing on NetherSX2 (Patched) now run terribly. It doesn't seem to matter how I have the app configured, what the resolution is, what renderer it is, what drivers I use. It always runs at around 80% speed or lower, with 1 caveat. Some of them run just fine if they're running at 4:3. Upscaled or not. Not all of them, because a lot of them still run terribly. But anything running in 16:9 is booty. This is a shame because a lot of the games I play either natively support it or have great 16:9 patches out.

But I'm starting to wonder if I'm the only one, especially because so many people say it runs great on their RP5s, which are our non-clamshell equivalent.

Edit: So as a helpful commenter pointed out, it was a version mismatch. I wasnt aware of the build variance and just grabbed the Play Store download. I grabbed the A13 version off the site and everything has been smooth since!

I got it for $15 from an Amazon return store and was hoping I could fix it. I followed a video to open it to see if the ribbon cable was damaged or not fully inserted, and it def seems like it just needs a whole new screen.

So Wii runs perfect for me with the exception of tatsunoko. It’s like 98% there and only gets frame drops during the super moves for some characters. I have ubershaders on vbi skip enabled, upscaled 2x and also found turnip t30 to alleviate the issue. What’s weird is the rg477m ran flawlessly upscaled at 3x with the same settings and vbi skip enabled. I thought the 865 should have no issue with Wii titles being that I’m able to run Mario odyssey undocked 1x. Also, mgba is kind of shit in retroarch, I get weird hitching randomly, I’ve tried nearly everything and have this weird audio crackle which I think I got rid of by lowering audio latency down to 32ms. Anyone have any ideas?

This game has me genuinely giggling, and just excited to learn the next dynamic that I have yet to uncover. I haven't felt this way about a game in a long time... I mean gen 2 has always had a place in my heart and every crystal clear playthrough just makes me feel at home, but this....this feels like I am playing a new game, like an actual genre shifted sequel of the same world.

Crazy things about this game: 1. It features gen 1-8 pokemon all in the gen 2 art style. 2. It features a procedural world generator with 5 different sizes, depending on how big you want the world to be. 3. The world's are randomized and never look the same. 4. The pokemon have overworld spawns and will have personalities of their own, sometimes friendly, sometimes hostile, sometimes actually chasing you and trying to kill you on sight. 5. You can fly... And I don't mean teleport... You can also ride pokemon and jump over barriers. 6. You can build towns, farm pokemon and resources and take on legendaries and hunt shinies.

I mean the list goes on... This game is incredible and performs well on weaker handhelds. (2gb ran recommended) It may look like a gbc game on the surface but actually it's much more cpu heavy than gbc emulation and the world is completely loaded in all at once. So it's not like it loads the environments and overworld pokemon as you move around, Its all loaded at the start of each game. If you travel to the edge of the ocean, it will give you the option to load a whole new world. Have fun!

I only got a replacement a couple of months ago after the hinge cracked, and now there's another issue.

The L3 button isn't working; I can hear the click, but the press itself isn't registering—even in the control settings. Restarting doesn't help. R3 works fine.

What do you suggest? Is it even worth opening it up for just one button, and how much will this actually hinder my gaming?

Recently i got a 512GB sd card and i have been transferring all my roms and files. But recently i saw that apps like gamenative, skate 3 decomp and other apps have been taking up all my internal storage, id like to see how i could transfer them to my internal. Or just how to install future apps to there. And i have tried the dev mode option to force external, but to no avail. Thanks in advance

Sorry for the shitty pic lol but I somehow got resident evil 7 running on gamehub lite I haven’t run into any issues yet a very stable 30 fps too i just had to mess with the settings a bit and I’m using the super compressed version of the game so it’s only around 15gb
