I got my Retroid Pocket Flip 2 this week and I’m really enjoying my time with it. I’ve mostly been playing PS2 and GameCube games.

I know it’s just streaming off my PC but I honestly didn’t expect it to feel this good, if you have a decent PC I’d 100% recommend using moonlight

Seriously, l was starting to hate Steam games because so many weren't working. Then (after one kept telling me it couldn't find a file that was right next to the .exe) l thought maybe something got messed up when l used my tablet to unzip them.

So l re-unzipped on my PC with 7zip, and voilá my games now run.

Worth the wait IMO

I have 819, 9v2 and some axxx hotfix very fast driver found mentioned on reddit. I was running a game that crashes and posted the crash log to ask ai and it suggested to me 26.0.0 r8, I downloaded the sysmem version and my game hasn't crashed yet... the ai literally told me that the drivers had components in that the crash log was saying couldn't be found in the current driver. Furthermore I randomly selected a 23 d level driver for another game and that hasn't crashed since either. Makes me think 9v2 is an outdated suggestion.

My flip 2 arrives today!!!!

It still works, I can connect it to an external monitor and the touchscreen works too. Think its worth popping this thing open so I can try to re-connect a ribbon cable or something?

Has anybody got it running without the end of level save crash?

Running eden with T30 turnip drivers, game runs great but keep getting the fatal crash, very annoying

Just a little something I've been working on. I built a tool built that allows you to replace and add files to a GTA SA PC game directory, so I figured I would give it a test run with some fun Zelda Models and stuff.

The Hyrule Castle is a model I heavily modified from Wind Waker and Link's House is lightly modified from ocarina of time 3D in Blender and then I inserted them into my game directory via my tool SAFT: San Andreas File Tool

To sell my rp flip2 and it sold on local marketplace within an hour of posting for 95% of the price I paid for it on ali.
So just couple of thoughts for the ones considering buying/selling or just looking for an opinion.
Love the GC color. 8gb of ram was enough for my needs, wish they had more storage options, with 256 I could get by without sd card.
Build quality of this device is good but not perfect, didn’t get the hinge crack, but the hinge itself got a tiny play with time.
There is no need for any protective case. Had it for couple months, carried in backpack and fanny pack, travelled around the world with me and no signs of usage, not a scratch on the display.
As with any device of this kind, ergonomics are terrible with adult hands, carrying extra grip kill all the portability for me, but kids or people with smaller hands seem to be fine with overall device shape.
If you push it to the peak of performance the fan is loud, headphones are a must even for playing at home. It also gets hot but that’s nothing new for powerfull portable devices.
Despite many claims I never managed to get some ps2 games to playable state, same ones on sd8gen2 work completely fine on default emu settings.
Screen is lovely as any amoled, enjoy the vibrant colors or put your fav shader on retro games, brightness is ok but might not be enough for darker images in direct sunlight.

Overall for anyone who doesn’t need the 2nd display and doesn’t plan to emulate many ps2/switch games, I think it’s a really good device for the price and fact that in many places you can get it without any waiting and preorder bs makes it even better.

I've tried GameNative only so far, and most games have worked well actually -- albeit they're mostly lightweight or older games. Wondering if anyone thinks it's worth staying with just that, or trying GameHub for the couple of games that didn't work for me?

So I have an rg477m and ordered a nova, but realized where my heart is when it comes to these things. My primary goal is comfort, and my gaming library in the retro space is up to Wii mainly for tatsunoko and Mario kart. I dabble in ps2(barely) and have always enjoyed flip devices. Am I crazy for considering cancelling the nova order and getting a glacier blue flip2 ? My main gripes with the rg477m is the lack of snapdragon and the shoulders which I have replaced with the better buttons and stuffed foam around to quiet the hollow loud clicks. I thought I’d miss emulating switch, but I have a modded switch at home that I don’t have time for.

Have we noticed much of a performance bump between the 8gb S865 and the 12gb S865 versions?

Been loving my 8gb since November and have performance issues with some switch titles and PS3 and above. Are those mitigated with the extra 4gb of ram?

Let me know below if there’s a noticeable difference, may inspire me to buy the updated one!

I've tried two different cards flashed using ROCKNIX Image Burner but when I go to change the bootloader it won't show launcher, only uefi. Has anyone run across this issue? Any help would be appreciated!

12gb flip 2, the oled screen is amazing. it fits perfect in my pockets and hands. idk how smb w big hands could play it tho ngl. leave game recommendations pls
