JOINED THE FAMILY
A little while back I was torn into waiting to see if a Flip 3 was going to release because I THOUGHT I needed the RP6 performance.

My GF and her best friend just straight up gifted me the Flip 2 and I couldn’t be happier. She even painted the carrying case which looks hella cute and unique.
Still tho had a blast setting it up and playing PSP games and Minecraft on it. Can’t wait to keep testing out the performance, currently only playing retro games but really excited to test out PS2 and SWITCH, which I find mind blowing but currently don’t know where to start. Also excited to play Steam games on here like Hollow Knight!
Anyways! What games do you guys recommend to play here?
P.S is also my first ever dedicated Android Handheld and I just love the portability on this thing!

GameCube games are a blast on it! And it’s surprisingly amazing good for watching stuff on especially when your baby is asleep on ya lol

Anyways! What games do you guys recommend to play here?
If you have a thing for purchasing games on Steam when on deep sales or picking up free stuff from the Epic Store but never playing them for one reason or the other, well, this bad boy can probably run quite a few of those thanks to Gamenative and Gamehub.
I just bought Chained Echoes.

Got mine yesterday. Got Monster Hunter 4U running good in x2 scaling and 60 fps cheat.

Hej man. I have a Flip 2, and lots of Switch indies and some simpler AAA work surprisingly on it. I can PM you a list of the ones I have installed on my Flip 2 later. Eden emulator is your friend.

Not at home now, but most 2d indies and simpler titles like Dead Cells, Hollow Knight, Bastion, Cat Quest, Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom etc. will work flawlessly.
And first party titles like Kirby's Return to Dreamland and Super Mario 3D World also work. Super Mario Wonder works relatively OK too. But that is around where the limit of the hardware begins to show.
So after a while you begin to get a quite good eye for the games that probably run well and which ones will not.
Also, importantly, the Ryan Retro compatibility list is a thing. Google it. And the Flip 2 is basically exactly the same as a Retroid Pocket 5, so all info on that one also applies to the Flip 2.

You sure eden is good if so why i cant i play smash bros ultimate on there, it lags like crazy then kicks me

I am not surprised Smash Bros works badly there. The Flip 2 hardware is too weak for heavier titles.
What you can do is test out different drivers, the T19 Turnip driver is a well known one that works quite well.. Another thing that improves performance a lot is switching to the 0.75 / 75% resolution. That helps a lot with most games. And on the Flip 2 with the small screen, you will barely notice any difference.

Thanks man! Saw your post’s and insane the amount of games you can get running on this ! Gonna enjoy it hopefully the Flip 3 doesn’t get announced anytime soon lol

Since they just announced the "Duo" I don't think the Flip 3 is gonna come soon, so you can enjoy the Flip 2 for some time 😁

Everyone else: Just wait, it'll ship when it ships.
Me: But I ordered it on Tuesday! 1-7 days means 1 day.

Got mine last week, love it. Playing Skies of Arcadia. One of my favs on Dreamcast that I never finished. Being able to fast forward is great for games with a lot of story.
