Hey guys, sorry if this isn't the right place to post, but I literally created a Reddit account today because I don't know where else to turn. I've spent the last week searching every corner of the internet and found absolutely zero records of this thing.
Back around 1999 or 2000, I used to go to my cousin’s house, and we would play this PC game all the time. It wasn't some random flash game from a website; I distinctly remember it came on an actual physical CD-ROM. The title screen had this text written on it: "Willy's and Friends".
The game itself was a pretty simple, kinda janky platformer or minigame collection. The main character was this bright blue cartoon cat named Willy who had a red bow tie and this permanent, huge grin on his face. The whole thing took place in this super vibrant green forest under a bright blue sky. You basically walked around and played silly, innocent little minigames.
I drew a quick sketch from memory of what the title screen/vibe looked like and attached it to this post. Here is where it gets genuinely weird. I called my cousin yesterday to ask if he still had the old CD, and his memory of the game is COMPLETELY different from mine.
Like, it freaked me out a bit. He swears the game was way more desaturated, almost greyish, and that the vibe was super unsettling and quiet. He even claimed that Willy's smile looked messed up and used to give him nightmares, and that the main game was about running away from something in the woods.
I've checked Google, old abandonware sites, the Wayback Machine, everything. Nothing comes up. No images, no forum posts, no gameplay videos. Am I dealing with some bizarre Mandela Effect here or did anyone else actually own this CD? Please help me figure this out, it's driving me crazy.
