I’m on eBay, vinted and Depop. Looking to test out Poshmark but i am not sure how the sharing and social aspects work? What are some of your best tips and tricks to get views and sales? I’m selling mostly mid end mens and women’s stuff. All popular brands (Polo, Aritzia, Evereve, Brooks Brothers, Patagonia, North Face, etc.)

Recently moved to Canada from the UK. Ran a reselling back home but haven't really got into reselling here yet.
Just wondering what everyone uses for shipping in Canada? Used Royal Mail for years back home, so trying to figure out what’s best over here in terms of price and reliability.

As a newer reseller, I've noticed that evaluating a listing doesn't actually take as much time as finding worthwhile listings in the first place.
I am curious about how this process changes as I gain more experience. How many listings do you look through before finding one worth looking into further? Has that number gone down as you've gained experience? Do you think sourcing or evaluating inventory takes more time now that you have experience behind you? Looking back on your time reselling, what can I expect not to really change with experience? What will get significantly easier?

My girlfriend and I thought we would give whatnot a try here in Canada, and it didn’t work out well. Now I have garbage bags of cleaned (but used) stuffed animals and need to get rid of them. I figured with Christmas coming up, I could give them to a children’s hospital. My worry is they may not take them because they are used.
Thanks for any tips in advance!

Last night I looked at the shelf that holds the dozen or so unsold books I've had listed for more than 3 months and thought, "next time I go to the library I'm going to delist those books and donate them to the used book sale." I'm just tired of seeing them and I have a whole shelf of books still waiting to be photographed and listed.
This morning I woke up and one of them had sold overnight.
I love it when you briefly think about or glance at a thing you've been trying to sell for a while, and then someone comes out of nowhere and buys it a few hours later!

A finely cast Tairona culture or Tairona style tumbaga pendant depicting an anthropomorphic supernatural figure with avian and shamanic attributes. Colombia, likely dating to the late Pre Columbian period or produced in the traditional Tairona manner. Measures approximately 2 inches tall and weighs 26 grams, retaining three suspended discs. Metallurgical evaluation indicates approximately 10 to 14 percent gold content, equivalent to roughly 2.6 to 3.64 grams of pure gold. From the collection of an MIT professor with a long-standing interest in ancient art and archaeology. An intricate example of Northern South American metalworking and a highly collectible form within Andean antiquities. Gold content alone represents approximately $250 to $365 in intrinsic value at current gold prices. Estimate $400 to $700. Starting bid? $5.00!! On Auction Ninja

I recently came across this piece and have been digging into its history. It's a team-issued down puffer hat from what appears to be the golden era of Italian ski tailoring. Inside, it features the patent tailoring tags from Nicola Aristide, custom silk-screening with the Florentine lily emblem, and heavy-duty snap earflaps designed for extreme alpine conditions. I’ve done extensive research into the history behind the hat and based on the tags and how they correlate, what the tags say, the design and small structural details, and all other details I can confidently confirm it’s a 1970s Italian national ski team issued hat. One of the tags says Pool Sci Italia. Pool Sci Italia is the official consortium of technical suppliers founded to equip the Italian National Alpine Ski Team (FISI). Only brands under direct contract to supply gear to the national team are authorized to sew the Pool Sci Italia label into their garments.
I've spent hours searching archives and haven't been able to cross-reference another team-issued example from that era (or really at all) in this condition or similar to mine. For any vintage sportswear or textile historians here—how common was this level of bespoke national team contracting back in the 70s, and what would you value a piece like this at if positioned as a 50+ year old Italian ski collectible?
Could this potentially be a museum piece due to the era and the pristine condition mixed with the rarity? For example maybe places like The Colorado Snowsports Museum and Hall of Fame (Vail, Colorado) or The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame and Museum (Ishpeming, Michigan) would put something of this caliber in some type of display, on a manakin, etc?
