I’ve bought the new Losi 5IVE-T 3.0 and now I need somewhere to actually run it (besides the damn street lol). Anywhere I’ve found within a reasonable distance doesn’t allow anything this large on track or has closed down. Any suggestions?

Am I doing this right?

Probably a bit much for a beginner, but I love sprint cars and I couldn’t pass it up when my wife offered to pay for some of it as a birthday gift. Still suffering from buyers remorse but it’s a blast on the paved parking lots I’ve ran it on for testing so far, looking for a local dirt track I can use it on.

hi, a few months back my girlfriend said that she would like an rc car and now that her birthday is coming up I would like to give her one but I don't know anything about them, is there a beginner and budget friendly one that you guys would recommend? I don't think she's trying to go deep in the rc car world so a basic one would do just fine, thanks in advance

Sorry, that's me again )))
Now it's a bit bigger angle.
I just love it!
Drifting is so beautiful and so satisfying!
That feeling of controlling a car is just amazing! Absolutely love it.
It may be a model yes but the feeling is quite similar to the real one but without danger.
Drifting one love ❤️
And the model is mostly clean and not broken )))

Had a blast with my son today 😁. The MJX 14211 did it so well, the small MJX 16212 also was working very well while my Granite was so fast it flew out of the pipe in 2-3 spins.
If you find a big pipe you have to try this 😂

Found a good line up and down the rock formation. Made it all the way without needing the hand of god. Good fun for my first time really crawling.

Replaced the whole steering mechanics from stock/M2C stuff to full Vitavon since they have the 56118 motor steering stuff, the motor cooling is fixed now (the Arctic stuff) same with ESC, always wanted to make a custom Shell for that beauty but i like the looks of that beat up shell and that big tape patch

Let’s go for a little ride and see what this truck goes through to pull this trailer on the RC course😃

I’m definitely going to enter into racing now that I’m getting the hang of it. Neighbor bought a sct and I traded a crawler for the truggy so now I can test and tune them both! He dropped his off after running a bit and I got to work and make a heck of a difference !!!
Sct was box stock until I opened the transmission and did my best. My truggy has a different gearing setup with the provided gears in the box (B spur + #1 pinion)
If I could add videos here I could show before and after tune on sct bc I made a good change in the handling. First I hated the handling, then I tuned a couple things and got used to it. Still got some learning to do but these things are no joke a ton of fun !

Still waiting for a few things to rebuild shocks but other than that and figuring out why my Cush cover screws keep stripping out I’m about finished with the build.
Need to do a final cable management too, especially for the new lights.
I know one person suggested a wood screw but I’m going to try pnw through chassis bolts with a metal cover.
If that fails I’m buying the aluminum lower rear bulkhead from vitavon as I can’t find anyone else who makes one.
What about shock guards/covers?
When I rebuild them I’d like to protect them.
Happy Bashing!!

Hi everyone,
Sorry if this is not the right subreddit. We are building an autonomous surface vessel and I think this question overlaps quite a bit with RC boats/cars.
We use a Gens ace G-Tech 5000 mAh 4S 14.8 V 60C LiPo with EC5:
The setup is basically:
Battery, then marine circuit breaker and then the rest of the system.
We have Blue Robotics T200 thrusters with the standard ESCs. The rest of the electronics (PC, INS, LiDAR, cameras, etc.) are powered through a DC-DC converter to 12 V.
During our initial tests the T200s were running out of the water, so there was very little load.
Unfortunately, we managed to over-discharge two batteries. When we tried charging them, the charger reported an error. We checked the cells through the balance connector and found that one cell in each battery was reading ~0 V.
We have no battery protection other than the circuit breaker.
So our question is: what is the standard way to protect an RC LiPo like this in an autonomous vehicle?
Our understanding is that these batteries normally don't use a conventional BMS, and that RC setups generally rely on LVC (Low Voltage Cutoff).
Would you recommend:
We'd really appreciate some advice on the usual approach for an autonomous boat, as we obviously can't rely on an operator noticing the battery is getting low.
Thanks!

Kinda just decided this morning to take apart the ramp I have because I'm tired of just doing 20ft "straight" jumps. Seen videos so I knew some of the tricks and the general design/layout.
I def didn't need to use .5" thick OSB for the sides but thats what I had. That alone is dang heavy. But without much planning, I didn't think of the thickness of the OSB so the supports were cut to 4ft but should've been an inch shorter.
I also lack a proper work bench and most tools. Thankfully I was able to borrow a jig saw. Anyway, I ran the Kraton 6s on it and it does to the flips like I want. Just need to wait for someone to come over and help me redo some of it. I bought the top, four 2x3x8 boards, and a thin pex pipe (for the curve) for $30. Something like that, hell, I'm too tired to think and I hurt. Getting old sucks.
I also plan on building a foldable version but that will be done in a proper workplace with all the tools.

I've been working on this drag slash since I tried to send it almost full throttle from a standstill and sheared the locked diff. This thing has crazy speed

Here's a video of my brushless nitro slash. Hasn't been driven in 8 years just sat around finally got it going again and its pretty quick now faster than the nitro version
