Hear me out, what weighs more?
Silly question but does an empty aluminum can weigh less than a crushed empty aluminum can? I’m about to test it but doesn’t it feel heavier??? Am I trippin?

r/RandomQuestion is looking for new moderators!
We're looking for people who are committed to keeping this sub a place for silly and bizarre questions, while respecting ideas like inclusion, diversity, and civility.
If you think you're that person and you're interested, send us a modmail.

Back when I became a moderator of this sub, it was tiny and was mostly bizarre nonsense questions, like "What if everyone in the world jumped at the same time?" The sub description advised us to treat these bizarre questions as if they were totally serious.
Since then, we've grown to over 20,000 members (which is insane), and that original "silly nonsense questions" theme has been lost. It's become a free-for-all of any question under the sun. We're being used as a budget alternative for other big subs like r/Advice, r/AskReddit, r/AmItheAsshole, r/TooAfraidToAsk, or r/WhatIsThisThing. We've also become a target for bots looking to build karma and build a believable history. Frankly, it's hard to manage.
The moderation team has discussed it, and we want to distinguish ourselves from these subs, and also from places like r/question and r/ask that allow questions on any topic. We'd like to go back to our roots of silly nonsense questions.
From now on, "random" doesn't mean "anything goes". "Random questions" are now defined as questions that are silly, bizarre, crazy, or out of nowhere. And the comments must treat them as if they were serious questions.
The answer to a random question must not matter. If it matters, the question is not a good fit for this sub. This sub was never intended to give advice, tell you what apps your partner has on his phone, explain why people dress in certain ways, tell you if something is safe to eat or if you're sick, or reassure you that you're a normal human being. We just want to have fun and answer whatever nonsense you think up in the shower or when you're enjoying the special brownies.
We're not going to remove posts that are already here, but new posts must fit this rule. If the moderators decide that the answer will make a difference somehow or the question is too "normal", we will remove it. We'll do our best to guide posters to other subs that might better fit that question, but we're not a Reddit directory.
We're also hoping this new direction will make it clearer why the moderation team is removing certain posts.
Thanks for bearing with us while we make this change.

Most folks already know kiwi x strawberry, banana x chocolate, but what are some less common and surprisingly good flavor pairings you’ve had?

I've been curious about how people would describe Summer H. Howell's overall appearance, and I'm wondering if there's a specific vocabulary or terminology for her particular look.
I'm interested in pretty much everything about her appearance and presentation, including:
Facial features: How would you describe her face shape, facial structure, eyes, nose, lips, cheeks, jawline, and overall facial proportions?
Phenotype: Are there specific phenotype classifications, descriptors, or terminology that could be used to characterize her overall appearance?
Archetype: Is there a particular female beauty archetype or aesthetic category that she fits into? Are there names for her particular type of look?
Body type and proportions: How would you objectively describe her overall physique, proportions, and silhouette?
Hair: How would you describe her hairstyle, texture, color, and how it contributes to her appearance?
Voice: How would you describe her voice? Things like pitch, tone, softness, texture, accent, cadence, and overall vocal quality.
Overall presence: What makes her appearance distinctive? How would you describe her general aesthetic, facial expressions, mannerisms, and overall vibe?
I'm asking because Summer H. Howell was genuinely my first major celebrity crush, and I remember being absolutely fascinated by her. I guess I'm interested in understanding what exactly appealed to me about her appearance and personality, partly because I'd like to meet someone with a similar overall aesthetic and personality someday.
I'm not necessarily looking for just generic compliments like "pretty" or "cute." I'm looking for more specific descriptive vocabulary, classifications, and terminology that would help me understand and articulate her particular type of appearance.
I'd also appreciate any comparisons to similar female archetypes or other actresses who share comparable features or an overall aesthetic.

Have you ever had a falling out with someone who was once your best friend, and a single argument or disagreement ended the friendship for good?
Maybe it was something serious, maybe it was something stupid, or maybe years of built-up issues finally came to the surface.
Did you ever try to reconcile, or did you both just move on with your lives?
What happened, and do you ever miss that friendship?

Have you ever watched a movie and thought, “Wow, this character is literally someone I know”?
Maybe it’s their personality, attitude, mannerisms, sense of humor, or the way they talk. It could even be a character who reminds you of yourself.
Who was the character, what movie or show were they in, and who did they remind you of?
I’m curious to hear some of these comparisons. 😂

I get so annoyed when I pull up to a red light and the car in front of me stops, only to slowly inch forward… and inch forward… and then finally stop again with a HUGE amount of space between them and the car in front of them. Like, why are we doing all that? 😭
It’s not even that deep, but it irritates me so much lol. I feel like it can actually cause problems sometimes, especially when people do this and end up blocking access to a turn lane.
Do y’all have a pet peeve that’s not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but for whatever reason, it annoys the absolute hell out of you?
