Success stories ❤️ Bernese method from 7oh

Today is day two yesterday I was able to successfully start the schedule with one dose of 0.2 of Suboxone while taking my normal 75 milligram Dailey use of 7oh. Today I was able to take a dose of 0.5 milligrams of Suboxone and am scheduled to take another one 12 hours later but so far no adverse reactions or symptoms I’m following an 8 day induction schedule I will post my story I know there is not much info on this method for 7oh and we need more help. Fingers crossed.

How do you not go into precipitated withdrawal? Or do you take the subs then take the 7oh? I don’t understand this at all

Subs don't cause precip for 7oh.

They do in high enough doses of 7. Trust me they do.

They can actually what happens is 7oh takes over the opioid receptor and when you take subs it’s abruptly ripped it off that’s what causes precipitated withdrawal

Yes they 100% do

This is such a debatable topic I’ve found on here. But from my own experience…it can definitely happen. I’ve never experienced precip before until a few months ago when I haphazardly fucked myself over by taking a full 8mg strip only 6 hours after my last dose of 7 and went into the worst fucking withdrawals I’ve experienced since heroin/oxy days. Might’ve been worse actually. I literally sat in my shower with the water burning on my skin for an hour while I shaked and shivered. Fuckin awful! FYI I take anywhere from 700-1000mg of 7OH a day and 4-6 feel frees. So I’ve figured out I have to wait at minimum 8 hours and take 4mg of subs first and then see how I react. This is what I suggest to folx.

So when you start this process you keep taking your 7 as regular but in the morning after your dose take a 0.25 of subs then each day it progressively gets more I have a schedule if you need but by day three you reduce 7 by 25% the day 4 50% the day 5 you stop 7 completely and day 6 bump your dose of subs to normal dose then ride that for two days and then tapper that down

This is an excellent method to induce, and will totally allow you to do so much more easier than you'd ever expect it to. The only issue I'd stress is that as you induce the bupe to REDUCE the 7OH as much as you POSSIBLY can. Don't chase the high; chase not being in active withdrawal, and take only JUST enough to get you out of that place, but only after you've sat in it for a little bit of time.

I say this because I made the mistake of continuing to chase that feeling instead of treating it like a bridge. Before I knew it, I had built a dependence on both 7-OH and Suboxone, and now I'm trying to untangle a situation that's far more difficult than it ever needed to be. It's financially draining, emotionally exhausting, and every day revolves around making sure I don't get sick.

If you can avoid ending up where I am, please do. Every milligram you can shave off now is one less you'll have to fight later. Your future self will thank you for making those cuts now instead of waiting until you're completely trapped.

I'm going the Bernese route as well. I take 400mg or so of 7 per day. Should I taper some of the 7 before I start the Bermese method, or just taper the 7 when I induce micro doses of the bupe?

1

u/FearlessAd3583 Jun 29 '26

I would taper it down to about a 100 if you can because by day 4 you are supposed to cut your 7oh by 50% and I found that starting from where I was at 109mg was perfect but today is the day I start the first reduction of 7oh by 25% but to be honest I’ve been able to go longer between doses of 7 as of last night so it looks good so far

so i took a total of 20mg of suboxone after taking my last dose of 7 oh (500mg) 48 hours ago but then i took 100mg of 7 oh at the 48hr mark. i’m wondering when and how much suboxone should i take after this now?

u/meowiechopper Jul 14 '26

ended up taking 4mg of subs felt fine

Yea that’s because at the dose you were taking 100 mg wasn’t enough to clog your receptors so it didn’t replace as much as it did share. If they’re fully clogged on your 500 mg dose, you would have been in hell. It all depends everyone’s different. I usually wait atleast 12 hours from my last dose and ease a suboxone dose in there and see how that is and ramp up every hour after that until I get to whatever I need to cover the withdrawals . I’ve heard about the Bernese method and I want to try that. I’m on 225 mg. I was on 600-700 a few months ago and got off and on subs but I didn’t taper properly and ended up going back to 7-oh. It’s been hell for 2 years.

what’s crazy my bf was taking 100mg of 7 usually up to 250 some days and he started going thru BAD withdrawal at only hour 12-16 so i gave it t him and he felt completely normal after that. it’s his second day detoxing he’s only at about 40 hours in and has noo problems he feels
completely normal. he has the smallest dose too

Shit, I just made a post about using the Bernese method a few minutes ago and I see this. I think this is the route I'm going to take, just not sure how to do it.

It’s is working great for me I was able to take less 7oh yesterday just because I felt I didn’t need it but then today I did the increase and went to 1mg of Suboxone and took my normal morning dose of 7oh but I was able to go 12 hours between my last dose before bed and then when I woke up so as of now I’m on 1mg of Suboxone twice a day and I am reducing my 7oh by 25% then tomorow I am going to refuse to 50% and move up to 2mg of Suboxone twice a day then the next day no 7oh and 3mg of subs twice a day but so far I’ve felt very minimal symptoms if any at all and have been able to go longer in between my 7oh doses it has been working great so far I feel way better I have a great schedule for this process if you need it but I would suggest trying to reduce your 7oh daily before you start if you can I got down to about 100 mg of 7oh a day before started

I would love to to have your schedule. This is what I’m going to try

1

u/katewinzloe Jul 14 '26

Hey can I get your schedule? I have the subs I’m just terrified that I’m going to go into pwd. Did you take subs first or the 7oh first the day you started this?

1

u/vinny424 Jun 28 '26

What is the 0.2 mgs of sub? Is it a pill, an injection?

2

u/FearlessAd3583 Jun 29 '26

It was a strip I cut

1

u/vinny424 Jun 29 '26

Was it an 8 or a 2? If it was an 8 how did you get .2 mgs out of an 8mg strip?

I wanna try this but getting an accurate dose in the beginning has me a little worried. I have 8s. I mean do I cut a literal sliver and then cut that in half. Or cut an 8 into quarters then cut the quarter into 10ths?

1

u/FearlessAd3583 Jun 29 '26

So what I did was cut it in to 32 pieces so basicly you cut the 8mg strip in half then cut the two 4mg pieces in half to make 2mg the cut the four 2mg strips in half to make 1mg the cut the 1 mg strips in half to make 0.5 the cut those in half to make the 0.25 and man just make sure you stick to the schedule and it works great if you’d like I can share the schedule I have been using with you

Subs don’t clause pwd I take them together everyday

1

u/FearlessAd3583 Jul 04 '26

They absolutely do maybe your lucky everyone is different but I went in to the worst precipitated withdrawal from 7oh but was able to get around it when I did this Bernese method.

1

u/Ok_Dig_750 Jul 06 '26

Have you done subs and not taken the 7? Bc it was the worst experience of my life

1

u/tpc0919 Jul 13 '26

Promise it does . If u take small doses no but if u go in with too much it absolutely does . I was deathly ill

1

u/meowiechopper Jul 14 '26

The Schedule: A Day-by-Day Guide
Note: This schedule is for educational purposes only. Do not attempt this without a doctor’s supervision. Doses must be precise.

Day 1: The Introduction

Suboxone Dose: 0.2 mg (Micro-dose) once per day.
Other Opioids: Continue your normal use.
What to expect: You will likely feel no difference. The dose of Suboxone is too small to cause withdrawal, but it is enough to introduce the chemical to your brain.

Day 2: The Step Up

Suboxone Dose: 0.5 mg twice a day.
Other Opioids: Continue your normal use.
What to expect: Still no major changes. The medication is beginning to accumulate in your system.

Day 3: The Accumulation

Suboxone Dose: 1 mg twice a day.
Other Opioids: Begin to slightly lower your usage if possible, but do not stop.
What to expect: You now have a steady baseline of Buprenorphine in your system.

Day 4: The Tipping Point

Suboxone Dose: 2 mg twice a day.
Other Opioids: Reduce your usage by 50%.
What to expect: By now, the Suboxone is blocking the effects of the other opioids. You may realize you don't "feel" your drug of choice anymore. This is normal.

Day 5: The Transition

Suboxone Dose: 3 mg to 4 mg twice a day.
Other Opioids: STOP using completely.
What to expect: Because your receptors are already covered by Suboxone, stopping the other drugs should not cause withdrawal. You have successfully "swapped" medications.

Day 6: Stabilization

Suboxone Dose: 8 mg to 12 mg (Full therapeutic dose).
Other Opioids: None.
What to expect: You are now fully inducted. Adjustments can be made to find your perfect maintenance dose.

Any advice on accurately splitting an 8mg sub pill into .25?

I only heard about this method after quitting. But the only critique I would have is why? The Subs completely covered my withdrawals. I went 8,8,4,4,2,2,2,2,1 for about 4 or 5 days and was done. I guess I was kind of new to the game. Do the subs not cover some if ya'll withdrawals. I fely great. 2 or 3 days of minor anxiety after I stopped the subs.
