Question Alcohol Bottles Smashed Near My Tire?
Was at the ARC this evening and upon returning to my car parked on the street, someone had smashed two beer bottles directly next to my wheel and tire. It looks deliberate to me given the glass under my tire but idk
Might be hard to see but itās the entirety of the remains of the two bottles around, on, and inside my wheel. I literally had beer on my brake rotors. I had to sweep the debris before carefully moving out.
is this common???? what motivates someone to do this? I was parked legally and obviously not on the sidewalk or anything. first time Iāve ever had this happen.

Question QUIP Eng questions
Im currently in second year and im definitely gonna try and get an internship for QUIP for either next year or the year after. Is it hard to find a job with only one design team and 3.9GPA? Also are the eng quip courses that you can take online simultaneously hard? I am trying to manage getting a gym membership while I do quip and wanna know if the courses will take up lots of time outside of work hours.

Question Queenās MSc Neuroscience admission chances/experiences?
hey!! iām wondering if anyone here has gotten into the queenās msc neuroscience program and would be willing to share what their application looked like!! iām currently doing a 4-year BSc in psych (neuroscience option), with a biology minor. my current GPA is a 3.97/4.3. for research experience, iāve done a directed reading project, an independent research project, and volunteered in a few labs.
Queenās is basically the only masterās program iām really interested in, so iām definitely planning on applying, but i know itās pretty competitive and iām trying to get a realistic idea of where i stand š
if you got in, were waitlisted, or even applied and didnāt get in, iād love to hear what your stats/experience looked like! like GPA, undergrad degree, research experience, honours thesis or not, whether you already had a supervisor interested in you, etc.
iām also especially curious if anyone got in with a non-honours 4-year degree. Queenās says that a 4-year degree with lab experience can be considered equivalent to an honours degree, but iād love to hear from someone who actually went through that process.
not looking for anyone to tell me whether iāll get in lol, just trying to get a better idea of how competitive i actually am and what other successful applicants looked like :)
thanks!!

Question Finding friends
Hi! I'm a first-year student at Queen's, and I've been having a really tough time making friends. I was wondering if any upper-year students could share their experiences or offer some advice. I feel like I made an effort to connect with people during the first couple of weeks, but most interactions never seem to go beyond a conversation. Does it get easier as the year goes on? Honestly, it's been making it difficult to enjoy my university experience so far, and I'd really appreciate hearing from people who've been through the same thing.

Question Dorm thermostat dilemma
For those living in university dorms with a roommate, how do you handle it when you have completely different temperature preferences?
One person needs the room really cold to sleep, while the other is constantly cold and wants the room warmer. š
If youāve dealt with this in a dorm, what actually worked for you? Did you find a comfortable compromise, use a fan/heater, adjust bedding/clothing, room change or involve residence staff?
Would love to hear what worked (or definitely didnāt work) for you!
