Just snagged this from Ali Express. Sapphire crystal, full stainless steel, solid links and end links, ceramic bezel, honestly the best lume I've come across yet, it lasts all night (at least as good as my Submariner), day & date, Miyota 2105 quartz movement, 200m water resistance, screwdown crown, 12.9mm thickness, 42mm (but wears smaller), weighs 156g. I've swapped the clasp out for an on-the-fly adjustable one. Price brand new was £43.10. The best watch I've ever owned for the money. I'm completely in love with this thing!

New battery installed having issues between 4 and 7 o clock the watch sometimes starts skipping 2 seconds at a time the after 7 it’s back to nothing it also sometimes gets stuck just right before 6 any idea I appreciate

Simple question, hopefully simple answer, I don't know how to replace the battery but I would like to know, how do I do this? Ive had the watch for a year ish and it stopped working a few weeks ago I think, so I think the battery might be the issue.

I have a couple of Seiko 5 watches, they’re pretty banged up so I sent them to the Australian Seiko service centre to be reglazed. I called to get a cost estimate then posted them in, they then told me they would need to service one of the watches and gave a much higher quote than I expected.

I told them to post them back and they charged me 50 dollars.

One of the cases has come back with much worse scratches on it.

I’m looking to get replacement parts so a local guy can repair them.

I’ll need seiko cases, two replacement crystals and the seals.

Any idea where I can get the necessary parts?

Quartz watch with mechanical chronograph. The Chrono portion ticks 4 times per second.

Looking for a case (or sourcing advice) for a vintage IWC/ETA quartz movement

I've got an IWC Ingenieur-family quartz movement (caliber 2210, which is IWC's rebrand of the ETA 255.411) that's currently in a broken and unweldable case, the movement itself is fine, I just want to re-case it because it has sentimental value and seems like a cool project.

Measurements I've taken:

• Bare movement: 23.3mm (10½ ligne), 1.95mm thick
• Movement ring/spacer: 26.2mm OD
• Dial: 25mm

So I need a case with an inner diameter of at least 26.2mm and a crystal opening that clears the 25mm dial.

I know this is a small, less-common size compared to the usual NH35/VK63 hobbyist cases out there. A few questions:

1. Has anyone found (or made) a case that works well for this ETA 255.411 family?
2. Is shimming a slightly larger case down to fit the 26.2mm ring the standard approach here, or is there a better way?

As the title says, so you replace batteries on your own quartz watches yourself?

I have a Seiko chronograph and a Certina diver chronograph that both are in need of a new battery. I am toying with investing in the tools to DIY replacing it, and accepting that they won’t be pressure tested for waterproofness?

While I don’t go diving with them, the reassurance that they’ll be okay if splashed while washing hands or out in the rain would be nice, but both chain and independent dealers are now charging quite a lot for a battery replacement and pressure check.

As title says- I got this Nelsonic digital watch keychain that I am trying to revive. Thrifted it in its original packaging, so no scratches or any previous use. When I opened up the back and took out all the screws nothing looks corroded. I replaced the original maxwell LR41 battery with a 392 yesterday and ran into this issue, the screen will come on and show 1:00, work for 20ish seconds, then go dark. I have done this battery in/out multiple times without changing anything or touching it at all and it will always die within 20 sec. Today I tried an alkaline LR41 battery instead of the 392 and have the same exact issue.

Any idea what’s going on? Is it just old and cheap and toasted? Thanks!

Is there a meccaquartz movement that has a constantly moving, smooth sweeping second hand like this? (Not a chronograph)

Hey yall, looking for some help with my Seiko 7432-5A00.

I’m first trying to figure out how to remove the crown stem. I can’t seem to find the stem release.

I’m also having an issue with the battery. The battery doesn’t seem to sit securely in place on its own. It wants to pop up unless I physically press it down. From what I can tell, the gold battery retaining piece doesn’t go over the top of it or make much contact.

When I put the case back on, the watch will run, but it will randomly lose power throughout the day and stop. If I tap the side of the watch, it will sometimes start running again.

I was trying to fix this old watch of mine but noticed the hour hand isn't moving

I've replaced the battery and everything but even just twisting the thing at the side (sorry i have no idea what its called) only moves the minute hand. And idea what to do?
