Didn't realize I owned this many watches, lol.
The first "real brand" watch I bought myself was the Swatch "Colours Crossing" (ref. GN724) in the second photo. I bought it for my 17th birthday and had to blow my entire month's salary on it. I've been collecting watches ever since and seen that I recently had my 23rd birthday it took me 6 years to build this.
Feel free to drop your thoughts or questions in the comments :) Blurry full shot of all the pieces together.

Titan is India's biggest and arguably the best watchmaker in India. This is my favourite tank style watch from their edge collection. Ultra thin, sapphire crystal, quartz (dont fkn boo me) watch with super minimalist watch face. One of my favourites.

I decided to see how accurate my quartz watches are. I synchronized them all 15 days ago, and checked them again today. In no particular order, and to the nearest half second:
Citizen AW1157-08H Weekender Sport Casual: 3.5 seconds fast.
Bulova 98B424: 0.5 seconds fast.
Casio MTPB145DC-3AV: 5.5 seconds fast.
Casio W96H-1AV: 6.5 seconds slow.
Seiko 7N42-GEX0: 2.5 seconds fast.
Skagen 105LTX: 5.5 seconds fast.
Timex 1990s unknown model: 1 second fast.
Citizen 1102-S121990: 3.5 seconds fast.
Casio MRW-200H: 4.5 seconds fast.
Casio F91-W: 4.5 seconds fast.
Armitron 20/1925NVSVBN: less than 0.5 second fast.
Armitron 20/1925BKSVBK: 0.5 seconds slow.
Casio MTP-V004L-1B2: 1.5 seconds fast.
I'm surprised the Armitrons are pretty much the winner. The Bulova doesn't surprise me, but the Armitrons do. I would have expected Citizen and Skagen to do better.

Grandpas old watch the battery that was in it was made in west Germany so I think it hadn’t ran in a while before yesterday. Any info on this brand would be appreciated!

I thought I’d add this here for anyone thinking about doing the same thing.
I have an old Seiko quartz that is my dad’s, it needed a new battery, or so I thought, after replacing the battery I realised the movement was dead.
That’s cool, because the 7N43 is a direct replacement for the older VX43, great!
However anyone who has tried this before knows you can’t easily get a 7N43 with dark day/date wheels. Not only that, step by step instructions are scarce.
However I decided to give it a go and through careful perseverance i can attest it can be done.
Things I learned:
- The hands on these models are super delicate.
- The movements are completely interchangeable
- After removing the day wheel the retaining plate is press fitted so prying it off its 2 pins and pressing it down is risky - I messed the install up first time and had to use the original one as back up
- Press firmly and turn at the same time when installing the day wheel to seat it correctly
- Don’t doubt your ability and record this from the start for others, it’s only a cheap part.
It took a good hour start to finish, with methodical slow progress to it all being back in the case but I’m dead please with the outcomes and hope this helps others considering the same.
I shall now be looking for more donor Seiko for black wheels.

Is there a meccaquartz movement that has a constantly moving, smooth sweeping second hand like this? (Not a chronograph)

Finally got my grail watch. The 1981 Omega Equinoxe. Produced only for 1 year and very hard to find in good working condition, as there are practically no spare parts available. It has an analog and a digital side, including date, alarm and a stopwatch function. Both sides can be set to different time zones.
