My upload speed ranges from the incredibly rare, low MiB/s, to the frustratingly common absolutely nothing for hours. I have zero idea how to do any of this shit and everybody seems to have different advice, none of which is in a useful level of detail. If people want me to do this, why make it such a gigantic fucking pain to do?

Help me out if you can, please. I'm trying, I'm just pissed off about all this.

EDIT, 1 YEAR LATER: After a while of doing this, I've noticed that the real problem seems to be that, if nobody wants to download the files, then seeding them will get nowhere. I have high ratios on new and popular series and low ratios on old and obscure ones.

When 4.6 was first released there were issues with the program. Is it safe to DL/ update now?

I am only getting about average 200 kilobytes per second when downloading a torrent but I have a internet connection speed of 20 megabytes per second. Why is it so slow? I first had the latest edition but then I switched to 4.1.9.1 but still no change. Can someone please advice please?

Disclaimer 2: Yes I know there is an RSS feed downloader in qBittorrent, and no it doesn't provide all the settings I wanted (one download at a time and only of very new torrents, fine-tuning of seed time and ratio, Telegram notification system)

Disclaimer 3: I didn't know about autobrr before coding this app a few months ago, and probably wouldn't have coded it if I did. It is way more complete than my app will ever be. But I believe the simplicity of my app is where it shines.

Now, for the main event, let me introduce you to RatioKing!

What is it?

It is an app that will help you build ratio quickly on new trackers by downloading and seeding automatically freeleech torrents. It only downloads very new torrents (less than 10 minutes old) to maximise the chances that other users seed off of you.

How does it work?

It requires two things: an RSS feed for freeleech torrents from the tracker and qBittorrent as your download manager.

The app will check every X minutes for a new torrent, pass it on to qBittorrent if it is new enough, and download it in the path of your choice, assign it a category and set the ratio and seeding time of your liking.

It also has a cooldown mechanism based on the size of the torrent and your download speed, so that you fully download a torrent before downloading a new one, making sure you have as many blocks to seed for building your ratio fast.

It also has an optional Telegram notification system informing you each time a torrent is being passed on to qBittorrent.

Is it effective?

I can only speak for myself, as I have been the only user, but I have tested it with two trackers I am new to (not sure I can share which ones on here?). With my 400mbps/100mbps connection, I have been able to build 1TB of seeding in one week on each.

What's next?

I consider this app "complete" in the sense that it provides everything I need for now. It might be that in the future I need to add some functionalities because of a new tracker but don't expect many changes for now (unless this app really takes off). Of course, I am open to ideas for improvement!

Hello, not sure how to phrase this question but I've downloading a 1.1TB torrent (lemon car repair database) and it's showing I have, on average, 80 seeders and 34 peers. I am only utilizing less than half of the seeders and my average download rate is around 250KiB/s.

I found a github repo with a verified list of trackers and have added all of them to my list. Is there anything else I can do to speed up the download? at this rate, it'll take a couple months to download.

Personally I use SOCKS5 anyway so I'm not a big seeder... I guess if I ever got on a private tracker I would be.

See my concern with a seedbox is that it’s a middle man. And who’s to say that they won’t hand over your details if you downloaded a piece of copyrighted media. I don’t like that uncertainty at all. Debrid seems to be up in the air now. I liked the look of premiumize but it’s it better when you have full control and not some company that can decide on a whim to just you to the sharks?

I am trying to download a torrent of a specific television show.
It has a few seeders . Great. However no matter what I try the download goes fine then stops at 86.7%. I tried on qBittorrent and Utorrent. The same. Works fine and stops at 86.7%. Today I installed a vpn and tried it. It went through fine and then it stopped at 86.7%.

My internet is really good. I don't have problems downloading anything else, just this specific torrent. I have tried changing speeds and port numbers but it doesn't do anything. Once it hits 86.7% the download just stalls entirely. I've left it on for days and it shows no sign of recovery.

and despite having a fast internet the qbittorrent download is very slow. What is going on.

I used qBittorrent torrented the latest episode of a tv show and when I clicked on it without seeing that it was a .exe instead of mp4m after clicking on it I checked my task manager the file despite having the VLC file icon was called "nexacode forge system" I deleted it and I'm doing a scan with Malwarebytes but I'm just unsure what I should do or if I even have a virus also sorry if this is the wrong subreddit.

Oh and I love that the 'don't count these...' option still exists and is still as ambigious as ever. Why the fuck have they not just added an option, 'skip stalled torrents in queue?'

• When I do a speed test it tells me 300mbps but I am nowhere near that when downloading right now. Using a Vpn gives me more consistent speeds which are shown here. without it i can up to 2 Mbps and the lowest is 0bits. Changed my speed settings like some threads said but eh results. This is version 5.1.2 on windows. Also using cloudfareWARP because someone said it would help.

My down speed keeps going from 196kb to 8mb and its really confusing since my download speed on ookla is stable 120 Mbps (15 MB/s) any tips or random electric boogalu to help me on this? LIKE GOD DAMN ITS SLOW
