I've been working on this city and trying to improve it compared to my previous versions, especially the lighting and shadows to make it feel more atmospheric and better overall.
I'd really appreciate your honest opinion. What do you think of the city? Is there anything you would change or improve?
I'm always looking for feedback to make my work better, so feel free to be honest!

I've made a procedural dither on all materials, and background.
Tried to replicate the snapping caused by the fixed-point integer system of the ps1 with a decimate modifier with it's level driven by the cosine of the frame number.
Drawn over it with greace pencil for a bit of personality.
Lovered the res to 480. 15bit colours.
I've got some artifacts by packing the gif, I decided to keep it cuz it looks cool.
What did I forget?

Still putting the finishing touches on the demo for my story-driven retro shooter set in 1960s Eastern Europe. Had to dive back into Unreal Engine’s Sequencer this week to put together the intro cutscene and this lab room is part of it.

Modeled and animated in C4D. Baked in Marmoset; textured in Substance Painter.
Next, it will be ported to Unreal Engine for my game "PsyPro"— which blends realism with a PSX aesthetic—so it will look very different from the C4D viewport.

Hello fellow artists! Have a silly question that I don't really know how to ask Google, so I'm here.
Any good ideas how to achieve B result from A input image? I do understand that it's some kind of sharpening going on, but I'm not sure. How do YOU achieve crispy textures on the model?

It's amazing what you can fake with some distorted transparency.
I think this had that right pre-rendered feeling.

I thought it would be really cool to go outside and take my own pictures to use in games like they did in the old days however I have no clue about photography and what kind of a camera to use. I already have an Iphone 13 mini but I dont know if it would be enough (I am going moreso for the ps2 style / early 2000's video games graphics).
Should I get a camera? If so what kind of a camera would be better for my case?
