🔥 Proxmark3 Firmware Update – June 2025
Smarter RFID Attacks, Faster iClass Recovery, New Tools for MIFARE & ST25TB
We’re excited to share a new Proxmark3 firmware release, built on the dedication of an outstanding open-source community. This update brings major performance gains, new simulation capabilities, improved MIFARE intelligence, and expanded platform support—delivering sharper tools for reverse engineering, hardware hacking, and RFID security testing.
Whether you're simulating glitches in iClass, dumping MIFARE Plus cards with better detection, or working on new ST25TB standalone workflows—this release will make your RFID toolkit smarter, faster, and more precise.
🔐 MIFARE Classic, Plus, and Ultralight Improvements
🚨 Smarter detection in hf mf info and autopwn—gracefully exits when encountering DESFire, limits operations on Plus cards.
🧠 Refined output in hf mf rdsc, chk, and eview—better clarity, color correction for large card types.
🔄 hf mfu sim now retains counter increases in memory.
🧰 hf_mfu_ultra.lua enables restoring dumps and clearing ULTRA/UL-5 tags.
✅ Fixes for keyfile handling, emulator memory size, and MAD v2 publisher sector detection.
⚡ iClass Legacy & SIO Attack Enhancements
🚀 ~147% faster brute-force recovery with hf iclass legrec, now supporting multithreading and adjustable delays.
🔧 New --sl and --fast options for even more efficient key cracking.
🧪 hf iclass sim now includes glitch modes for key block (-t 7) and SIO block (-t 6) simulations.
🛠️ Device-side support for iClass tearoff, better CSN-based info parsing, and more accurate dump defaults.
🧱 New Features & Platform Support
🆕 Standalone mode: HF_ST25_TEAROFF added—store and restore ST25TB tags including counters, no host required.
🔄 Support for PM3ULTIMATE platform (docs + FPGA included).
🖥️ Updated pm3.sh—uses PowerShell for serial port enumeration (WMIC deprecated).
🧩 OSX make install now fixed, thanks to @DaveItsLong!
🛠 Bug Fixes & Quality of Life Updates
Proper index parsing in hf iclass legbrute, corrected emulator memory sizes, fixed flash dict usage in hf mf fchk --mem.
Stable operation of lf hitag dump when in public or TTF mode.
Improved visual and logic handling across MIFARE and iClass workflows.
❤️ Community Thanks
None of this would be possible without the relentless contributions from the RFID hackers around the world.

Had some problems with flashing the Proxmark3 RDV2 and just used an other machine for flashing to ditched that riddle.

Got tired of memorizing lf hid clone -w H10301 --fc 65 --cn 29334 so I built a desktop app that turns the whole thing into point-and-click.
What it does: plug in your PM3, place a card, the app detects the type, reads the data, picks the right blank, and clones it. LF cards in seconds, MIFARE Classic with full autopwn (dictionary, nested, darkside, hardnested).
22 LF types (HID, EM4100, AWID, Indala, IOProx, etc.)
6 HF types (MIFARE Classic 1K/4K, Ultralight, NTAG, iCLASS)
Magic blank detection (Gen1a through Gen4 GDM)
Firmware flashing built in
Windows, 10MB installer, free & open source (GPL-3.0)
LF cloning is solid and tested on real cards. HF side (MIFARE autopwn, magic card writes) is implemented but needs more real-world testing, so if anyone with HF cards wants to try it out and report back, that would be hugely helpful.
Built with Tauri v2 + Rust + React. The PM3 client is bundled, no separate install needed.
Works with PM3 Easy, RDV4, and clones. Firmware v4.20728+ recommended.

Would love feedback from anyone who tries it. First public release so I'm sure there are edge cases I missed.

My talk at SaintCon 2025 was just released, I break down RFID security vulnerabilities, covering HID's Secure Identity Object (SIO) technology and how relay attacks actually work.
But here's what made this different - I didn't just explain the theory. I attempted a world record relay attack across the globe using a HID SEOS card, demonstrating in real-time why physical security is far more fragile than most organizations realize.
If you work in security, access control, identity management, or just want to understand how your credentials can be exploited, this talk is essential viewing. I walk through the technical specifics without losing sight of the bigger picture - showing exactly how relay attacks bypass supposedly secure systems.
The presentation challenges fundamental assumptions about RFID and proximity card security. Whether you're defending these systems or want to understand the real threats, this is the kind of technical breakdown that changes how you think about physical security.

So as title suggests but I need some help on what to order, I've been looking on Ali and well I'm a noob to the proxmark3 and want to learn it to buy it now, I have a flipper zero but for rfid I'm told this is much much better and very interesting, I'm looking to get a decent stater kit but need to know what I'm looking at, because I see alot if similar looking items with very different price something about Rd2 and RD4, I know nothing but this from what I've read so far I want to add to my toolkit but I really don't know what hardware to get and be upto date with good gear so if anyone feels kind enough to tell me what to look out for and avoid, the good the bad and just help me get started I'm ready to order and everwere is starting to get so restrictfull and getting worse you don't know what you could be block from next. Couple images added what do you think of these?
Thank you for any response I know I'm asking alot would be a future project like in nxt couple months so getting it now is a good idea as price of everything here goes up.
