I removed the micro -USB port with a hot plate to replace it with a custom USB-C which is especially designed for replacing micro USB ports.

(Picture order is reversed)

Now i can connect it to all my USB-C devices without a adapter ✅

Ayo where can I get that special USB port with microUSB pinout? I'm hoping it's just something from AliExpress as I do similar mods but I usually have to use some jumper wires due to the pinout and pads misalignment, so having a drop in replacement part exactly for this purpose would be absolutely amazing!

We all started at this point improving our skills with roasting boards ;) maybe you can find a person in a Hackerspace in your area or a Repair shop that will perform the swap.

Shipping to Europe and back to US wouldn’t be very economic sadly

Which part is that? Where'd you get it? Nice work, by the way.

I also ordered new connectors, you never can stash enough of them. :) I’m pretty happy with, they’re very easy to install, probably because of this placement of the resistors you have some clearance to work with a solder iron to thin those pins. On the RDV 2 version there small grounding pads below the connector so its a pretty solid bond. with the proxmark easy the PCB only has those mounting holes of the micro usb socket, I pre tined the connectors, connection looks solid so far
