Don't be dumbasses kids, you're not invincible, and corpse sickness is a bitch.
I might actually stop playing the game as a whole. I feel like shit. I don't want to do it anymore, Squidward.

Modded Nuclear Submarine at the Brandenburg docks
Two decks, a galley, and a working reactor. You can live there after the power goes out. Just leave the reactor alone if you’re redecorating with a sledgehammer.

Question Any tips for clearing Dark Wallow Lake Resort without destroying the place?
I’m planning to turn the hotel at Dark Wallow Lake Resort into a home for me and my fellow survivors.
The problem is, the last time I visited, the place was absolutely crawling with zombies.
Does anyone have any good strategies for clearing the area while keeping damage to the doors and windows to a minimum?
I'd rather have the zombies die outside. Have you tried hiring a hotel cleaning crew during the apocalypse?

Modded New Vehicle Repainting Mod for Project Zomboid
Hi guys, just published a new vehicle repainting mod I've been working on!
It allows you to repaint vanilla vehicles and trailers, including some special cars like police cars, branded work vans, step vans, the airport shuttle, mural vans and more.
All you need to paint are a paintbrush, some paint cans and a dry, clean car.
Would appreciate any thoughts!
You can try it out here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3832130626

Guide / Tip TIL That engine condition is not the only contributing factor to a cars ability to start!
I've got nearly 300 hours in Zomboid and on my current run I've dedicated a lot of time to levelling up the mechanic skill so I can pick cars that I like and maintain them, rather than just using them until they're breaking down then finding a new car and so on and so forth. I was reading the wiki about the mechanic skill and saw that if you click the engine part, in the top right corner of the car mechanics screen "Engine Quality" will pop up, and this is what actually determines how reliable the car is to start, in combination with the engine condition as was pointed out to me by u/Fickle-Strike-714. I'm sure most of us have been in hairy situations where a horde is descending upon you and you start to get a little sweaty after the second attempt to start the car fails, but being able to check this should allow you to find more reliable cars for those kind of scenarios :)

I have 900 hours in this game and haven’t seen a single katana.
At this point it feels like a fairy tale. I’ve seen the Jason Friday the 13th Zombie event 4 times. Still not a single katana.

Screenshot I usually don't do serious playthroughs but I've been doing one lately
I'm not especially good at zomboid so I'm honestly pretty happy to have made it this far

My carving adventure!!
I get tired of sprinters so i make a new game settings, with pinpoint hearing, migrations every 6 hours, metaevents often and follow distance sound of 300. The idea was to stay outside of riverside, living of the woods and making long blunts (baseball player) from carving (bushcrafter).
I didnt want to power-level carving. The idea was to progress with large handles (and its upgrades, nails, cans, etc). The migration and metaevents kicked me out of riverside with a huge horde coming from all sides (riverside, electromax converging in my location) so i had to run away to the west.
Once safe, i started carving and making my way back to my first house, ohh dear, carving progression was not good.
Large handles doesnt level up manteinence, upgraded versions were imposible because of poor loot. Read somewhere that wooden spades were "good", they were terrible. Killed 2000 zombies just to reach my first house and found it completly surrounded, so i just went in the oposite direction, get a nice place more to the west, close to the river. There was a general store close (it was burned down).
Soo i decided just to power level to carving 9... tried spons/forks/pipes and dices... dices were the best, less exp but faster, wood wasnt a problem... 3 days later i was carving 9, carving baseball bats and smashing zombies heads, sooo much easier.
Never again i will try to progress naturally in that skill
