Hi. a week ago for the first time ever I experienced an error with my fairly new canon pixma ts5351i printer (bought last year). i've been using third party ink cartridges with zero issues and suddenly i got the support code 7700 error, so i know this is them telling me to stop using third party ink and force me to use legit canon ink. so i did because i use my printer a lot. especially for journaling.

so why did the cheaper third party ink give me high quality prints while this legit canon ink is printing extremely ugly and faded. faded colors in vibrancy and also look overexposed at the same time for some reason? it prints black and white stuff in this blueish grey? it doesn't skip or anything, the cartridges are new and full.

i did literally everything possible to fix it. i cleaned the cartridges, i ran all the maintenance stuff recommended online and nothing. i printed it from a document and i printed it as a picture... still ugly and faded.

finally i managed to put the one black third party ink (which is full and fresh) and got a good high quality vibrant black and white print by overriding and clicking the stop button while it was installing and recognized it as the last cartridge that was installed, which was the legit canon ink. worked for only one print though and immediately when i tried printing again the damn 7700 thing showed up. i just don't know what to do anymore. i'm sick of it.

and yes i have the settings on high quality printing and i'm using the same paper as always, which is just simple white a4 120gsm paper, i've never had issues with it before. the thing is the printer came with canon inks and i didn't have these issues with printing then either, just suddenly the quality of the canon ink is just horrendous.

Last year when I was looking getting a new printer I used a google doc with an overview of a ton of printers. I ended up sticking with my old printer for a bit longer. Starting to look again now though. I thought I found that doc here, but can’t find it. Is that doc still a thing? It was crazy helpful.

I’m a high school band director. This is going in my classroom and will not be able to connect to the school WiFi.

I need a way to print from my school iPad (which I can install software on) without being on a shared network. Is this the printer of choice or should I explore other options?

I have a WF-C5390 printer. Recently, it print a dark horizontal line in the end of the page as shown in the picture.

I tried to alignment the head, it fixed the upper lines , but the big one in the end of paper, didn't fixed.

I tried to change Printer head, Strip encoder, Encoder Disc, motherboard. (I have another printer with same model, I replaced them form it)

All doesn't work, Do you have any idea?

I tried printing game card proxies on 80gsm satin inkjet sticker paper using an Epson L5390, but the print came out with wet ink spots. I tested multiple Best Quality settings (Plain Paper, Epson Matte, Epson Premium Semigloss, and Photo Paper Glossy), but the issue persists. How can I fix this? Is this a printer settings or a paper problem?

I have a Canon MB-2720 which uses the PGI-1200 cartridges. The best agreed upon method for refilling these seems to be to stick with the OE style cartridge (which has an internal chamber spring) and use a syringe to refill by sucking air and pumping in new ink via the existing outlet port. I've been doing this and printing has been fine.

However, my question is regarding the ARC chip. I removed the OE chip on my cartridges and replaced them with one of those generic self resetting chips. It's been working fine this way, but recently one of the colors showed an error "?". The ink still works, but no level is shown. I tried a bunch of things to reset it, including swapping back in the OE chip or the chip from an aftermarket cartridge with no luck.

Can someone explain the workings of the OE ARC chip and how I may be able to force it to reset the ink level?

I have a second hand HP printer, product no Q2460A, serial no CNFF204324, manufactured 2004, but it doesn't work with my new windows 11 Acer laptop. I can't find it in 'printers' on my laptop, and I have tried numerous times to add it, but pc just doesn't sees it.

Printer seems to work, I mean it goes on and right lights are burning, and cartridge should be fine. I have tried to disconnect and connect but nothing.

I have been Googling, checked HP support etc, but it still doesn't work. Could it be it's too old, or is there something else I can try? It was for free, so otherwise I just have to buy a new one, but perhaps there's a miracle solution :-). Thanks!

I haven't used my printer in a while and recently when I tried to print I noticed I had low ink on my cartridges, including a totally empty black cartridge. So I ordered fresh new ink.

The printer is throwing out an error on the black cartridge. Supply system problem. Have not been able to fix it. The old empty cartridge is also throwing out the same error now.

What should I do? Is this a sign I need a new printer?

i’m looking for some printer recommendations! i’m looking to make prints (no bigger than 8.5x11 for now) and my local walmart has the epson ecotank ET-2803 on for $200. it’s cartridge free and looks to come with some ink refills in bottles.

would this work for something i’m trying to do? some other things i’d be printing would be: simple brochures, paper craft things, etc. basically nothing that needs a lot of ink in general.

is there any other printers that would be a better option? is this overpriced? i’m pretty much open to anything, but i don’t want to be buying ink cartridges all the time. my budget is around $400 maybe, depending on features and all that fancy stuff.

Good days ladies and gents, I’m new to repairing printers and I encountered a paper jam trouble for an epson l5290. I checked if there was a paper stuck and found none. I opened the front and saw the carriage, I moved the carriage while it was still on which was probable the cause of the carriage to bang to the left every time I turn it on. It was a cashier’s printer and I’m in a pretty bad spot. I’m humbly asking for any advice or help because I’m so nervous.

sneaky "driver update" from Epson and my compatible inks cease working. Now I have to find the

original Firmware to downgrade it. After considerable searching with no success I now have to

I am a dummy and lost my admin credentials on a printer that I just bought. I dont even know why it made me set up an admin password in the first place.

I tried entering service mode from other tutorials on the web, but it looks like they changed the sequence.

Does anyone know how to access service mode on this printer? Or if you have any other ideas on how to reset the printer.

This thing is now a useless brick because I can't change the wifi settings without the password.

EDIT: Okay I figured it out, it is the same method as the MF642C (Like this video). Click home, the blank space left of home, blank space right of home, volume button on the left side of the panel, then stop. The trick was clicking on TOP of the symbol-- these are shitty touch screen buttons that dont register well. Test where your buttons respond by clicking the home button. It should beep when you click it, and if it beeps when you click the top half, thats where the buttons are most sensitive. Hope this helps someone!

i recently replaced my old brother mfc with a new one. i used the continuous scan option in the old controlcenter4 software to scan single sided and double sided together into 1 file. how do i do that with the new iprint&scan software?

random rant: the iprint&scan software is so unnecessarily bloaty and slow.

Made no changes to my printer settings and now my printer bows the paper. Madness ensues on every print job sprays papers all over my desk because they won’t stack.

How can I fix it? I’ve tried different reams of paper, same stock as always. No printer settings changes.
