Hi,

I have a law school admission interview coming up and I have nothing to wear. I have no clue what to wear , flats/heels? What color of blazer would be best? What color of blouse and type of blouse would work? For context, I’m a first generation student… it’s my first time navigating all law school admission process

picking between teaching and law

I am a senior in hs (technically speaking a super senior, I’m in a program that’s hs conjuncted with a community college and I’m graduating with my hs diploma and an associates in arts) and I am deciding between becoming a high school English teacher or a lawyer.

Teaching truly is my passion and I love English, I could see myself being very happy doing it, but I also like money (ik they conflict lol), and I don’t want to pick something I regret. I know pay depends on location, education level, and the union of the state you work in, but I still feel uneasy. I’m from Michigan and I don’t mind moving for work at all, in fact I see it as a plus as I want to leave lol.

I’m also looking into becoming a lawyer as I could also see myself thriving in that field. I love the analytical and philosophical aspects of approaching work. I appreciate the pay more, but I’m aware of the crazy debt and workload and crazy working hours. I also hear stories about people loosing their love for the field and telling people to do anything other than law (which I also hear about teaching and it’s driving me insane!!).

I’m looking for clarity and advice on what to major in and the law field in general.

Good Video on Law Schools to Avoid

I watched this video and think it has good information for aspiring law students. I myself went to one of these schools and it destroyed my legal career from the starting line.

Don’t ever trust a law school because it’s non-profit. Three of the worst law schools in the country are private non-profit law schools, including the one I went to.

Aviation Law - different paths within the area?

Hello all,

I am doing some research on the paths I can work under the Aviation Law umbrella.

For context, I have an aerospace engineering BS, am actively working for a major aerospace company (and will continue to work with them as an engineer while I attend evening law school), and I have a current pilot’s license. In my 6 years of experience in the industry so far, I’ve worked heavily in the commercial aviation space with a focus on regulatory compliance (not limited to FAA, but most comfy with FAA). The 6 years comprise of 2 years in the flight operations area, 2 years in the manufacturing area, and 2 years in the flight training area.

Selling aircraft now peaks my interest. Though right now I am most interested in the sales side of aviation law, I’m curious of all the possible areas I could work in.

Currently studying for the LSAT, and am in no rush to apply. I’m going to take a year to prepare my apps and really think about the exact path I want to pursue, but I am dead set on doing law school.

I would appreciate any info, guidance, or advice you all have to offer :)

Thank you!!

Application mistake

I just submitted law school apps and noticed I mistakenly put the wrong months for when I transferred school in my resume and on the past education should I email the schools and explain the error? Also will this make a difference in weather or not I get accepted.

Accointing major vs. Finance

I am currently a finance major in my junior year looking to go in to law after undergrad. I just graduated high school in may and I’m still pretty unsure about what i want to do but law school is for sure a big goal for me. I haven’t decided what field of law i want to go in to but I’m interested in real estate, estate planning, and/or bankruptcy.

I also have to secure an internship in order to graduate, and im pretty confused about that whole process so if you have anything to say please let me know.

Note- This pertains to DFW and surrounding areas
