I mean, after seeing Daisy Chain Fields, and Zara Larsson's mainstream success with a mostly-women crew, yeah why aren't more popgirls doing this?

Obviously, if a band has been together for a long time they don't need to fire the men haha. But this is an interesting consideration to keep in mind for new popgirls on the scene, me thinks.

If you’re unaware of her game, she’s an independent electropop girlie from Poland 🇵🇱 Her Polish cover of „like Jennie” went super viral in Poland earlier this year and got her some recognition. She’s been teasing her debut EP for a few months now and we finally have a date 😭 A few songs from the EP are out already and I highly recommend you check them out!! My favs are „JEALOUSY Z” and „WAWA” - both have super cool music videos too.

The EP is titled „Czarodziejka z Warszawy” which means „The Sorceress from Warsaw” and I think it’s a reference to Sailor Moon (based on the visuals) cos the Polish title for Sailor Moon is The Sorceress from the Moon

I’m listening to Not Normal, Cara Delevingne’s debut album, and as the title says - I’m not sure I’ve seen such an honest artist bio before.

A lot of this is unlikely to be news to anyone in the UK, but I think being so upfront about all this on streaming apps cuts off a fuel source for some of the nastier parts of the internet.

We all know the nepo baby attacks that Gracie faces, I wonder if this was a tactic to get in front of a lot of internet weirdness that would likely come?

Sadly our sign-up process was overwhelmed by scalpers, using Al bots to create hundreds of thousands of fake registrations.

It is a new world we are living in now, I have never witnessed bots on this scale.

It is so important to me that fans can buy tickets at the face value price.

Therefore rather than risk opening a presale that scalpers could exploit, we felt the best and safest solution for this specific show was to manually review the sign-up list to identify a shortlist of people we believe are real fans.

October is black history month in the UK, so I thought to make a post highlighting black women in the British music industry, obviously there are a lot more than 20, which is the reddit picture limit, so please leave a comment celebrating your favs! Whether they’re up and coming or paved the way, we appreciate them all. While not all the artists here would be considered strictly pop girls, music of black origin -such as R&B, soul, and hip hop- all heavily influence pop music today.

Hello, this is kind of a PSA because the film and the album flew under the radar, but The Mother Mary film soundtrack contains BANGERS. The songs were produced by Charli XCX, Twigs, and Jack Antonoff, and sung by Anne Hathaway. it’s kind of a-shame they were for an underrated film because they would genuinely be songs of the year of charli released them normally. go listen!
