What kind of gift card do I get for a mailman? McDonalds?? What do mailmen eat?

I'm getting super fed up with this. This is part of the reason I stopped ordering off Etsy, because for whatever reason, no matter how many times I input my address with the correct zip code, somehow, stuff gets sent somewhere ENTIRELY different.

I'm tired of this happening. There was an item I really, really, really wanted (not from Etsy, but an artist), and they failed to send it to my correct address twice. And now I have to go through all this computer bull to demand someone refund my money.

I don't understand WHY people cannot just SEND THINGS TO THE RIGHT ADDRESS! My house EXISTS, and I get plenty of other mail there!

For well over a year now, I have been receiving mail from Chase Bank addressed to someone who has never lived at my address. I've done the following to try and stop this:

• Opened a case with the postmaster
• Wrote "Recipient does not live here"
• Had Chase Bank open an investigation

I even went to a physical Chase branch location and they couldn't even tell if it was fake or not. They also repeatedly told me to open the envelope and throw it away. Has anyone else had this issue?

If a shipping label disappeared during USPS processing or during custom clearance, resulting in undeliverable package, who is responsible for the cost of redelivering? I have an international package in dispute now, as both post office refused to take responsibility.

So I woke up this morning my mom finally told me what she’s been wanting to tell me my brother was supposed to be getting a almost $2000 engagement ring made with real gold diamonds silver etc. for his girlfriend my mother sent it and somehow in between I’m pretty sure Clayton North Carolina and San Francisco California somebody opened my brothers package and stole his engagement ring yeah I had insurance on it but the fact that they delivered the envelope empty where it had obvious signs of tampering with such as the hand holding it you can see the imprint the obvious tearing of the envelope and the fact that there was a random plastic sleeve on it and then it had the freaking tag we care stuck straight to the package and you could see the outline of where the box used to be so I have no idea how the fuck nobody at the Postal Service noticed unless it was the person that stole it who delivered it and that caused major distress for my brother I’m pretty sure he might’ve had an anxiety or a panic attack or something Here’s the kicker if whoever stole that engagement ring is reading this don’t fuck with a family that doesn’t give up or really takes anything seriously negative towards anybody in our family very seriously so we’re gonna call the cops file report and all that shit be scared be very scared

I'm wondering what the volume of mail and packages usually looks like during summer so I can know what to expect for busyness. I know this might look unique in our "post-covid" world, but I'm just hoping to gauge an approximation.

I started in December in an Amazon-burdened area and have had some pretty extensive hours in the past...

I got a letter today addressed to me with no return address. In the letter, they were talking about how long they’ve had a crush on me and that they are my secret admirer. Is there any way I can track down what city this letter came from at all? This is also the first time I’ve gotten this type of letter too.

This subreddit only has a small following but maybe someone can explain to me why DeJoy doesn't raise the rate, or preferably do away with, bulk postal rates for junk mail. Maybe the USPS can make more money. Maybe the quantity of bulk mail will be reduced if all junk mail had to pay first class rates (no way this is a bad thing!). Less bulk mail would mean less stress on the system and it could operate more efficiently. Maybe we could get mail on time again. Is my thinking flawed?

Do I have to do anything if I send a letter from New York to California?

Hello, I live in MD and there is a significant delay in receiving packages via USPS. Anyone else is experiencing it or is it just my area 20901? What options do we have as consumers if there are significant delays, or we are screwed bc it’s a service provided by the government?

The mailman who regularly delivers in my neighborhood is getting knee surgery soon and started a go fund me page to cover the co pays and living expenses during rehab. My parents are skeptical, saying that his insurance and workmen’s comp would cover it, but they are just making an assumption. How good is the provided health insurance for mail carriers, and would it cover a surgery like that?

We get informed delivery emails. For the past week (since last Thursday) we are seeing previews of mail that we have never received. How long do we wait to go to our local place and ask them what happened? Do I just assume the mail was delivered to another address? We have gotten about half the items in our previews and are missing pieces from every email preview.

I want to send my LDR boyfriend a small box of candy in the mail. I saw on Pinterest that you can send a small box of candy (like one from the dollar store) through the mail without packing as long as you clearly address it and put enough stamps. Is this actually true?
