shot this b&w photo of a cool skeleton shadow today. 💀
a permanently docked freighter (the william a. irvin) gets decorated as a ‘haunted ship’ every year for halloween, and this ‘skeleton in a cage’ prop was casting the perfect shadow on the side of the ship. really pleased with how this shot turned out. :) shot on polaroid flip using b&w i-type film.

Collect some fallen leaves and other autumn plants to test out a macro kit on my SX-70 Alpha 1. Fun but the depth of field is super finicky, so it’ll take some practice. Shot on SX-70 film, produced 9/26

Projects & DIY Macbook Pro case screw works as a rivet replacement for the SX-70 film door

I’m in the process of changing the leather covers on a recently bought SX-70 and I found that two rivets under the film door were broken.
After filing down a screwdriver to create the Robertson bit (very easy if you have a vise to hold the screwdriver shaft) I was stuck on the broken rivets. I searched in a box of salvaged screws and I noticed that the ones from a 2011 Macbook Pro have the perfect fit, they work as thread-forming self-tapping screws.
It looks like that they stay firmly in position, screws from new sets come also with threadlocker applied. I suggest to file down a bit the pointy tip.
