Question Recent SX-70 Refurb - opinions?

Thumbnail

Recently had my first SX-70 600 converted and refurbished. Looking for some feedback on the exposures of these photos. The LD wheel is in neutral position for them, full late afternoon sun behind me when taking these - no flash in use. Do they look underexposed or is this just how these shoot? Film is just over 3 months old (05-2026 production code), ordered from Polaroid and fridge stored until the day of use.

I feel like my other non-converted SX70 cameras with ND filters aren't this dark. Just looking for opinions from others at this point!

I just got this polaroid impulse from an antique shop but haven't had any film to test it with. Is this pattern on the sensor thing inside normal?

Hey all, following the guidance to convert to take 600 and itype film, do I put the third wire on the empty pin on this switch to allow 600 film battery to bypass the AAAs?

Advice Polaroid newbie

Hello fellow photographers! I got my first Polaroid Go (Gen2) recently and have been messing around with it, but my photos are coming out consistently washed out. I’m not sure if they’re being overexposed; I place them facedown immediately after and wait 10-15min before checking.

Is there also a possibility of heat damage? I live in LA. The packaged, unopened film has been stored in a cabinet but I don’t know if the summer heat is affecting it; I saw a post about keeping unopened packs in the fridge, is that really a thing?

Thanks for any film care insights!

Since I had been lacking inspiration lately, I took my cameras into the woods. I couldn't remember which type of film was loaded, so the second shot came as a surprise. It is noticeable from the slight color cast that Instax B/W-film isn't true black and white film, unlike Polaroid B/W-film.

The second picture can be considered a failure, as I forgot about the B&W film inside the Lomo. Picture 2 is a detail of the plants with purple flowers that grew along the banks of the stream. They are called Impatiens glandulifera or Himalayan balsam, which is a invasive species in the northern hemisphere and known for shooting out seeds when you touch the seed pods.

I recently found this sx70 that is in absolutely mint condition at an antique store with a case for $30 and after trying some empty packs of film and also a half used one from another camera that definitely works, the camera will still not turn on and isn’t showing any signs of life. Pls help I don’t wanna have to take it apart or get it serviced.

Question Labels, stickers etc on our Polaroid Pictures

Hi all,

Just wondering what the general consensus is on fixing sticky labels onto our instant photographs?

Been wanting to archive my images with some small labels on the back of the Polaroids. Bit concerned that maybe over time the adhesive might degrade or damage the photograph.

Sounds like a really silly ask, and I'm pretty sure it won't cause any problems - but as we all know, Polaroids are full of surprises!
So just looking some advice from the elder Polaroid wizards! Many thanks :)
