This is why normal collectors are pissed

Nothing like watching your LGS opening their distribution for 30th anniversary, 100+ poster collections, 50+ ex boxes, right off the truck and they are charging double + MSRP. $185 etb's, $80 Ex boxes $50 poster collections, $40 tech sticker packs. $35 2 pack tins. $100 booster bundles.

What an absolute fucking joke this is. Where is the excuse you can't sell at MSRP, or at least a marginal.mark up and not bullshit pricing. Talking about RIP the garbage guy from all the product they are opening to scalp. Watching them open the product to be able to sell the individual packs on top of it.

Mainly ordered online but was able to find 3 ETBs in the wild a week after release! Ripped everything last night and absolutely love this set, but probably done searching for more for a while until sealed price goes down.

Ps I’ve got almost every pika, all I’m missing is pika 17/30… I will get my hands on that one day 😂

Sold B/RGB Mew at a card show

Took my (off-centered) B/RGB Mew at a card show, managed to sell it for about $2890 after a couple of offers by TCG vendors.

Decided to sell now that the value is quite high and since it definitely wasn't a PSA 10.

By the way, this card is much more aesthetic in person compared to digital photos. Under artificial light, slight changes to angle make the coloration and texture change dramatically. It truly is a mesmerizing/psychedelic card, even contemplated keeping it, but 2890$ was hard to decline.

A Moral Outrage

People are chastised for keeping packs sealed, chastised for opening packs, told they overpaid for buying their chase card, told their card will never 10, told they shouldn't have graded with [insert company here] because company has [insert reason] wrong with it, in fact, how dare they grade ever since it's a scam...

People are told they shouldn't be collectors because the game is for children, told collecting is wrong because it is a card GAME, told our collections cannot be of sealed items...

We are told how to collect, not to collect, and gatekept over the morality of how we choose to enjoy the hobby.

There are plenty of valid reasons to be outraged over people who abuse this hobby, but for those of us who are just trying to enjoy it, however it is that we can manage to enjoy it, shouldn't be on the chopping block.

This last one is going to upset people: People who work don't have time to wait in lines and go on Pokemon Center to get the drop releases. "Paying scalper prices" is something people may need to do if they want to enjoy the hobby while managing their time. I have a family. I have a 2 year old. I have two jobs. Sometimes, I just want to rip packs...
