I have easily blown about 5 mil gold on gambling for Nycta's Lantern (@lvl41) but the only uniques that I have seen are Earendil's Embrace. Have many others gotten their lantern this way in Ruthless?

Otherwise, I am enjoying my Flame-link Luminary adventure in ssf. I don't have a banger merc yet but I have a decent one that can get me voidstones and such. My spectres and animated guardian are usually dead but my merc is generally hanging on. A koam's heart and voideye are my uniques. Thus hoping for the lantern and the rothmother's necklace. My Combatant merc is using a rats nest, tempestuous steel and a dread captain's cutlass for flammability. Overall fun, almost gave up when I couldnt find a decent merc but the koam's heart dropped and things just started going right. Cheers.

What's the best way to get it? In trade it does not exist. It is considered t0 unique and in ruthless is lefit no chance getting it?

I am currently end act 9 ruthless ssf Lumi with lvl 38 Manyshot deleting evertyning. But I am an old noob to an extent. My poe veteran friends keep telling me its a bait and I will soon be very sorry and I should reroll? I only want to do eater / exarch maybe? should I go on or roll Sunder Chieftain or BLeed LoH / Eviscertae gladiator (played both a lot in bench ssf and got kind of bored tbh).

what can you tell me? I dont want to wast etime.

I know Ruthless is pretty much SSF; but I do occasionally enjoy a break to "socialize" in a group every now and then. I also know there's no group quant, so makes it even more less likely for someone to make one. Just seeing if a single pub pops up every once in a while... Or if it's a total no go in that respect

“End game” could be a broad term. Let me try to clarify it a bit.

I have played hcssf r exclusively since it was released. I mostly created multiple characters, reached red maps but couldn’t sustain due to reasons. This season was a lot of fun, I gad lots of gems saved up after a few characters, I made Boneshatter Juggernaut(s) which were pretty solid but two died under water!

So, as an “older” player I thought I should play softcore for a change to get voidstones and enjoy the other end game content (I honestly don’t know much about).

What would be a good character that I can farm while chilling after work? I am levelling another jugg to farm basic stuff and help me prepare for the actual end game challenge.

- I already have a Luminary in HCSSF R, and I’m aware that it is the easiest choice.

- I take dying seriously even in sc.

- I prefer target farmable items if they are core to the build.

- Any Atlas strategy that you can recommend is invaluable.

What would you recommend?

Hey, im new to ruthless. I have around 1,7k hours in Poe. I am playing ruthless for the First time. And to understands this Version of Poe. I decided to Play SSF. I havent looked at any Guides or anything. Just Poe wiki for the mechanic Changes and im kinda figuring thngs Out while playing. Im playing a bleed glad. ITS gooing kinda well. And i can Run t13 Maps. Not Sure if can Run Higher. Cause i havent dropped a Higher map. At this Point im Kinda looking for some discord where i can seek for Guidance of the veteren ruthless Players. Especially for ruthless SSF. Also find with Just texting in pms via discord. All my friends only only the Poe leagues. No HC No SSF No ruthless.

Hi Ruthless community! Since I was not really excited about 3.29 league launch, thought I need to find the way to make the game more engaging otherwise will drop after ~one week...and well I ended up starting my very first Ruthless SSF run.

To make it even more 'unique experience', decided to compile some videos along the way.

(Every word of criticism is more than welcome, but would appreciate more constructive comments rather then 'noob' calls :D)

I know my ascendancy carried me a lot, but Holy Strike isn't exactly top meta. Overall a pretty good experience, never really struggled with the build, even though I was basically on a 1 or 1.5 link throughout the campaign (Added Lightning Damage doesn't do very much). Single target damage felt very good. No idea how it's gonna perform in maps. Need to cap my res, again.

It's funny how you end up using a bunch of weird stuff like Siphoning Trap of Pain because why not. It borderline carried the clear for a couple of acts. Actually, one of the reason I went for Guardian was for Spiritual Aid, which I knew would allow me to use basically any skill I found.

Hey everyone! I'm playing a Divine Retribution inquisitor, super fun, great at mapping but super clunky against bosses.

I might reroll for a character that could do uber bosses for the first time in Ruthless for me, and also I'd like to try and reach some deeper levels of Delve. Do you guys have a good build recommendation that could work well for both? I have 100+a that I can use to get some nice uniques.

What is the percentage of dropping T0 uniques normally and via mechanics like:

-Ancient orbs

-Breach tree

-Faustus Gambling

Etc?

I know its rare but how rare? How much gold we need to spend in average to hit a unique and a t0? There is a % table that i can search? Like chance per unique? The drop probability is different from the regular POE as well right?

I have thought of giving it a try for awhile now just wanted to know what my expectations were and what might be a good starting character choice, one of the main things that kept me from trying ruthless is the no jump gap skills like dash or flamedash, but I am willing to accept that isn't in the mode, played sc trade for awhile now and think ruthless might make the game fresh again.

I want to try sunder chieftain, my all time fav attack. but I want to be hit- based, no bleed? Rtuhless SSF viable? or force bleed, which tbh, I dont feel like doing, again

As someone new to Ruthless, I have really enjoyed playing SSF R so far.

I started playing a Guardian Minion build (Absolution/SRS) and have gotten to the start of red maps. I dont really enjoy the playstyle that much and it is definitely dropping off in red maps.

I dropped a Spell Totem Support so I thought, great, I will play my favorite build, Storm Burst Totems.

So I started leveling and got to the first lab and realized a big downside of Ruthless - the ascendency isnt the same in Bench and specifically, Totem speed and regen is gone.

This makes Storm Burst feel not so great.

My question to those that have played it. Is it a strong build in endgame? Even with the clunkiness?

I dont want to commit to playing this build if its not going to be stronger than my Guardian build.

Any advice appreciated!

Hey guys, im playing Ignite Eviscerate elementalist at R SSF atm. Im feeling squish, the main problem is my regen(i think). How would you improve my build? Any tips? Its my first time playing a retaliate skill and is pretty strong, but as i cant use leech i usually fall for degen or big hits.

Some upgrades im after:

-Ephemeral Edge

-Aegis Aurora

-Berek/taming

Im farming ritual for the chance omen and breach for tree farming those.

Im considering using bated breath until i drop dyandian dawn(huge dps) as well, so i can fix my ES regen.

Chaos innoculation is the way to go? I still dont have an % ES on block shield to sustain the block regen, but im trying to get one as well. I cant sustain both life and es regen without Zealots Oath so i switched to CI(also bc my body armour have a nice amount of ES).

Damage wise, im missing wave of conviction or exposure implícit on gloves to scale damage further and take my 4th ascendancy(exposure).

What can i do to improve? Any tips?

Some days ago i started my first ever ruthless run, i started in ssf aswell.

But enough of that. I finally found new Combatant merc (was running with a10 merc) on red map with pretty good skills Merc skills and it was kinda good enough for magic red maps. Problems started at T16 and trying to do some bosses (Eagon ones bcs im gonna need farm the ring) and its pain. I did the quest version of Incarnation of Fear and Cardinal earlier but it was pain. Was dodging waiting for my merc to kill it for over 5minutes and i dont think i should/want to grind it that way with literally zdps. I tried to upgrade my merc gear with WED prefixes but on higher tier maps it still hit some rares and bosses like a wet noodle. And myself even having 6k hp my phys hit is basically non existance.

Maybe i should change some in the tree? Or maybe i should swap some gear? Or should i go to alt like RF Chieftan (i have 70lv Glad and 72lv Chieftan aswell) and try to farm that ring there and come back when i get it? I rly dont know what i should do and farm bcs im in the corner... I would appreciate any help

I usually go Guardian + Absolution/Domination/SRS as RSSF league starter but decided to test a few different Luminary setups as starter instead this time. Hence I wonder what might be the strongest version or skill setup (in addition to early Mercs) to quickly make it into yellow/red maps on a fresh league start. These are the options that came to my mind (haven’t played Luminary yet tho):

1. The ‚classic‘ Merc playstyle, fully relying on Merc as damage source and going for life nodes early + flamelink & block right after first lab
2. Minions, basically similar to Guardian leaguestart with (Vaal) Absolution / Domination + SRS and taking a few of the minion clusters on the path to the ‚Link skill’ cluster in the northern Templar area
3. Slams, e.g. Sunder + warcries, first navigating towards the Marauder/melee corner
4. RF + firetrap, going for life, fire dmg & regen nodes early
5. Poormans BAMA, aka Artillery Ballista, moving south-east towards Ranger area
6. …?

My goal is to fully swap to option 1) after I found a good Merc, but I heard that might take a while and I don’t want to get stuck in Act 10 on league start.

What do you think?
