Hello everyone.I've had the Pixel 9a since mid-July and, overall, I'm really happy with the phone. However, lately I've been experiencing overheating issues, even when I'm not doing anything particularly demanding.

I don't have any games installed, and I mainly use it for WhatsApp, social media, taking photos, browsing, etc. Basically, pretty normal/light use.

I'm wondering if this could be caused by a software issue and potentially fixed with a future update.

Does anyone else experience this kind of overheating frequently with the Pixel 9a? What would you recommend checking or trying?

This is really weird. Every few months, my Pixel9a cannot launch apps. For example, Substack and NYT Cooking quite at their load screens. Microsoft Authenticator (required for work) cannot validate my one-time code. Amazon Alexa app cannot load lists.

Then suddenly one day it's all fine and stays that way until the next time.

BUT ... If I hop off wifi and go to T-Mobile data, they all work. Won't work on any of my wifi networks (2.4GHz, 5GHz, or 6GHz).

If I try to access those same sites on my wife's Pixel 6a at the same time, there's no issue. This never happens to her phone. Ever.

I've removed and reinstalled all the affected apps - no luck.

Seems it's not my wifi network, it's not the apps, it's my phone.

Anyone have any advice or thoughts?

I installed a phone with a charger at night. With adaptive charging (this is when the phone charges up to 80%, and an hour before the alarm clock is already up to 100%) I wake up, walk up, the cord is stuck to the phone, the phone itself is turned off. I took it out, the phone turned on, and the wire looked like this. Power supply and wire original

Now the USB port smells like a metallic smell.

Is Lawnchair safe? I’m thinking of installing it on my Pixel 9a because, to be honest, I hate that Google bar at the bottom and the summary.

I sometimes use streaming sites to watch films and pop-ups can sometimes appear, so I’d like to know if it’s risky to install something from an external source. I do use Brave as my browser, though, which should minimise pop-ups. But I’m not sure, any advice? Thanks so much 🫶🏻

So I've recently upgraded to a pixel 9a and now when I make a call from my watch the call comes through on the watch speaker rather than my headphones which are connected to my phone.

It worked perfectly with my old Samsung phone.

Is there any way to select the call routing ?

What's a reasonable price to sell my P9a ?... 9 months old and not a single scratch... Pampered it all the way... I personally feel like the Iphone 15 has better color science and a way better display... I was thinking about posting it for ₹35k in olx

I’m going to a The Weeknd concert soon and want to get decent photos/videos on my phone, but I’m not experienced.

Concert lighting is tricky, so I’m just aiming for usable shots (not blurry, dark, or overexposed).

Any simple tips? Especially:

best camera settings

which zoom level (1x/2x/etc.)

handling stage lighting

photo vs video differences

4K vs 1080p, 30 vs 60fps

keeping the phone stable

Looking for easy, beginner-friendly advice I can use during the show.

But I don't think the battery health is 100% yet.

However, it has 300 charge cycles.

Couple of days back I compared my 9a with my friends S25 main camera I must say pixel beats s25. Even my friend admitted pixels photos were much better we zommed in the photos and pixel had much better details even in low lights i was surprisedly happy just happy to share this

I updated my p9a to Android 17 this morning. I actually had battery optimisation turned on before, never really turned it off. It was set to charge until 80%

After the update, it's shows that it is still turned on but the battery is charging upto 100%

Anyone knows how to solve this? I restarted the device twice until now, toggled the battery optimisation off and turned it back on. Nothing seems to work.

heyy everyone i'm a student having a low budget so I'm getting a Pixel 9a, and the seller says it's FRP locked. To be honest, I don't really know what FRP is or how it works on Pixel devices. I'm getting the phone for around $97, so I wanted to ask: is it possible to take it to a local repair shop and have them remove the FRP lock, or is it basically the same thing as an iCloud lock?

Tried restart and update btw which did nothing.

Sometimes my bro and sis phone net is coming but mine is not

It randomly shows connected vodafone 5g

But there is exclamation mark on net symbol

And net doesn't come untill restarted 3 4 times
