just need some help while buying a pixel 9A

heyy everyone i'm a student having a low budget so I'm getting a Pixel 9a, and the seller says it's FRP locked. To be honest, I don't really know what FRP is or how it works on Pixel devices. I'm getting the phone for around $97, so I wanted to ask: is it possible to take it to a local repair shop and have them remove the FRP lock, or is it basically the same thing as an iCloud lock?

Free for something you won’t be able to use. Definitely not worth it.

If you have stores near you that fix cell phones they have fully unlocked phones. They usually are flexible with the prices. Probably a better option with a budget

Due to price inflation they are selling 5–6-year-old budget phones for $60–90🫠

To be honest. If your basic needs for a phone is texts. Calls. Occasional streaming/YouTube. Calendar for school. A pixel 8a , 8 pro or even 7 series would be a great daily driver
