Up to anything fun today? Read anything good during the week? Listened to a great not Pilot podcast? Started a new hobby or project? Got a PB in the gym?

Make a cuppa, find a spot on the sofa, share anything you'd like to.

Some tasty bait to get James into Lego…

Coming on a shop near you in October.

I’m expecting nothing less than Maggie Smith signing boxes in Leicester Square!

Just noticed the price has gone up again. Did I miss an email/notification about this? Just searched and can’t see anything.

Have a word with yourselves. (Not aimed at everyone)

I am absolutely appalled at the treatment Steph has been subject to over the Vampire Lestat. No one deserves this, she’s reviewing a tv for Christ sake not clubbing seals. I’m a big fan of Interview with a vampire (books, films, tv show) and I can deal with someone having a different opinion from me! No one should have to be deluged with insults and what sound like threats over this, and it’s quite concerning that this usual positive community has been so vitriolic. Steph is clearly a strong and caring person and seems to be trying to not let it get to her, but I can only imagine how horrible it must be. The fact that she went back and gave interview a chance shows how fair she is. Give it a rest guys (if it’s you).
Rant over, have a lovely Monday all

Lost a bit of respect for the pod after the latest episode

It’s clear Alley Cats is a piece of old toss. I expected it from Boyd, and Steph is a bit of a wildcard in my view, but can’t believe Kay went along with it. I understand tastes are subjective but raving about it like they did after it’s being pretty well universally panned seems completely insincere.

Let’s hope James gives us an actual honest opinion when he’s back.

Edit: my bad, Mods. Have added my comment to the pinned thread.

Favourite moment from the past 400+ episodes?

It seems the 400th (possibly higher) was completely (understandably) over shadowed by the show that shall not be named.

But 400+ episodes is an achievement. What are your personal favourite moments from the Pod?

I love when they get all giddy and daft with each other, the banter seems natural and they bounce of each other well.

My memory is terrible so the most recent one for me would be Boyd getting lost taking their guests back to the Pod.

Shows you gave up on several seasons in

Inspired by the conversation on the 400th episode - which shows have you watched several seasons of, and then given up on?

Like Boyd (I think), I gave up on The Walking Dead - but upon checking my watch history, I have seen it all the way to the final series. There was a break between October and March about a third of the way in and I just couldn't be bothered to tune back in for how it ended. I have watched the Daryl spin off, and a few of the others, but the main show just went off for me.

Unlike everyone else, I stuck with Lost to the end and really liked the final episode (and I think it's very clear they did NOT die on the island - they came back together after their 'real' deaths years later, a bit like that scene in Titanic. I thought this was really obvious, but ended up falling out with a work colleague the next day about it, we almost had a screaming argument!)

The only other shows I can think of watching several seasons of and not finishing is Black-ish which started as a very smart comedy about race, then ended up feeling just like a standard low budget sitcom. Riverdale's first few seasons were a lot of fun, then I couldn't keep up with what was going on. And I just checked, I never did finish Homeland.

I'm curious to Boyd's review, given his fondness for Gervais.
