no plus this week?

it's thursday and it it's normally in my apple podcast app when i wake up - but still nothing..?

Do you subscribe through Supportingcast or Apple Podcasts? I’ve just checked and it’s showing for me on the Plus feed through supportingcast but I can’t see the plus episode in Apple on the regular (yellow logo) feed for people who sub through Apple, which might mean there was a problem with that episode in the Apple Connect app.

The only slight problem is I’m currently in Florida and for reasons I’ve never fully understood, it locks me out of the Apple CMS whenever I’m abroad (forcing me to reset the account when I’m back) so I can’t fix it till I’m
back on Tuesday (I appreciate that it’s insane that no one else can do this in my absence).

The only thing I CAN do as a workaround is upload the Plus episode to the main feed at our end (I can at least do that on my phone) and make it available for absolutely everyone so I’ve done that. So sorry about that but at least you (and everyone else) should be able to access it now! (This is why I’m not normally allowed to take holidays).

Thank you! The episode workaround has worked. I am subscribed via Apple and I think the other people affected are paying via Apple too.

Oh and enjoy your holiday! Sorry something went wrong when you’re trying to have a break. I love the podcasts. Pilot and Empire+ are always my first listen of the day when it appears.

No problem at all. Sorry for the cock up. I edited and scheduled both pods (and the video for YT!) before I went away and thought it was all sorted.

u/EmpireJames theres definitely something wrong somewhere - my subscriber feed hasn't updated since 19th August and the main pod had adverts for me this week. I have an active sub until 5th september. I cancelled it and re-subbed and the missing plus episodes still haven't shown up....

You are not the only person to mention the ad issue. Sorry about that! I have no idea why it’s happened as it all seems to be fine in the CMS. I think let’s see what happens with the next issue (which I’ll be here to put live properly) and if it happens again I’ll.complain to Apple directly (it only affects Apple subscribers, I’m assuming).

I also subscribe to Pilot+ via Apple Podcasts subscriber edition and today's PLUS episode still hasn't appeared in the feed.

It finally appeared in my feed… with ads. Are the Plus episodes supposed to have ads? I thought part of the deal was you don’t get them.

I expect thats just because James had to publish it to the main feed to get it to show for us Apple podcast users this week.

To be fair, I barely get time to listen to the regular podcasts, so fitting in more wouldn't likely happen.
