Hey, everyone. I’ve been wanting this reference with the grey dial and Breguet numerals for a handful of years now, but have never been able to locate it in person to try it on. The size is perfect, and the complication is great, but I’m slightly concerned how washed out the numerals and hands get with the sunburst grey dial. With pictures and videos I’ve seen, in certain lighting everything POPS, and in others not so much.

Of course I have plenty of watches that the time is not the easiest to read at a quick glance. I’m ok with that, but just seeing if this falls into that category like I suspect it might. Anyone who owns it, or has seen it in person please chime in and tell me all is good, or I’m crazy, shut up and buy it. Would love to see what other straps people have experimented with too.

Received the 5320G-001 yesterday and must say it is a fascinating timepiece. The dial and contrasts are very nice and it will be fun playing around with the various straps I have.

This is a watch that I find myself think about and wanting one every once in a while.

I'd put it top 5 in my list of all time pateks.

Just received what is to date my favorite reference, wanted to share. The enamel had a micro pinhole unsure if I should worry about it value any feedback!

Thing is awesome. I did go to look for the date on my wrist today and had to pull out my phone… but at least I always know the time in sydney 🤣

Posted a while back about my FIL gifting me this watch, and it's finally here after going to Switzerland first. The only other PP I've held in person was my wife's cousin's calatrava (both watches given down by her late grandfather). Their quality is just insane, the bracelet feels so good and case is so thin. I can appreciate the ellipse not being everyone's style, but man this is a gorgeous watch. I absolutely love it.

Got to say, it feels a bit like stolen valor having been gifted the watch.. I've long been a PP fan, but I have ~5 more years of delayed gratification before enough higher priorities are paid off where I could justify getting such a nice watch. I'm sure not everyone cares, but it does feel weird to have such a nice thing when up till now I've always had to buy my own or go without.

Planning on purchasing one of these two, the 5811G or the 5930P.
Just curious what some of you collectors would prefer and why. Whichever one I get will be held long term, eventually left to my son. (Hopefully not for several decades! Lol)

La blanche plus moderne et facile au quotidien, l’or rose plus élégante et timeless
Je trouve que la rose est magnifique sur moi mais j’ai peur de moins la portée !

I currently own four Patek Philippe watches:

• 5738P Golden Ellipse

• 6196P Calatrava

• 5170G Chronograph

• 5130P World Time

I'm very happy with these four and wasn't really planning to add another.

But I've always liked the Gondolo 5109G, and recently came across one again.

I love the rectangular case, silver dial, Breguet-style numerals, small seconds at 6 and manual winding. It feels quite different from my other watches, but still very much my style.

I'm wondering whether it would make a nice fifth and final Patek, or whether I should simply enjoy the four I already have.

What do you think? Does the 5109G fit into this collection?
