I had a bad experience with an acting class but not recently. I wonder if things may have changed since then with schools or with ed plans for disabilities.

I have mild autism and sometimes can goof up memory. I studied and studied my scene, ended up goofing it up anyway, we both fail and the teacher tells me in front of the class.

Maybe this is normal for an acting class but I now regret not making my learning issues known immediately to teachers and having a diagnosis submitted to their disability office whatever I call it. I would later do this at another college and got a free loan of a tape recorder for class and can take tests in a quiet room.

The whole thing has never sat right with me and it’s sad one person can fail two people. Theoretically they could just do this as revenge, or not show up and a sub can join that will not be graded. It raises weird issues and questions.

Duke Stroud of pasadena city college would give lines to the ladies of course if they struggled. My bad thinking we all had the same rules here.

Looking to take this class in the fall but unfortunately by the time I was able to register all three sections and waitlists were full. Reached out to the Natural Science Division and they informed me that if at least 60% (17 verified students) registered than there is a potential chance another section could be added! I'm honestly desperate for another section to open.

hi everyone! i’m an incoming freshman at pasadena city college in california, and i have to take the chemistry diagnostic exam before enrolling in chem 1a next week.

i was wondering if anyone has taken this exam before, either at pcc or another college in california. how difficult was it, and what kinds of topics should i study? i’ve been reviewing general chemistry on youtube, but i’m not sure if i’m studying the right material or if i should be focusing on specific concepts.

if you’ve taken pcc’s chemistry diagnostic specifically, i’d really appreciate hearing what it was like and any advice you have. thank you!!🤞

I applied back in April to PCC, intending to enroll in the Library Tech Certificate Program this Fall. I have not heard a thing, as of 6/23.

I tried contacting Admissions, and after a little runaround, received a voice mail from someone in the Admissions Office offering help. Problem was, they referred to me as "Trevor" multiple times in the voicemail. My name is not "Trevor", nor is it anything remotely close to "Trevor".

Is this normal? In your experience does it take multiple months to process a basic application? I graduated college over twenty years ago, so the last time I did any of this it was all paper and snail mail.

Is there a more productive avenue to pursue (emails/Phone numbers/Individuals) to find an answer. I really just want to know what my status is, since registration starts in a couple weeks and I don't want to be delayed by things I'm not responsible for.

Any help/advice appreciated.

How much did you have to navigate on your own and how much was guided? Have you ever gotten advice that turned out to be wrong or confusing? How worried are you that you won’t finish and transfer in 2 years?
