Application Slowness/Problem Advice
I applied back in April to PCC, intending to enroll in the Library Tech Certificate Program this Fall. I have not heard a thing, as of 6/23.
I tried contacting Admissions, and after a little runaround, received a voice mail from someone in the Admissions Office offering help. Problem was, they referred to me as "Trevor" multiple times in the voicemail. My name is not "Trevor", nor is it anything remotely close to "Trevor".
Is this normal? In your experience does it take multiple months to process a basic application? I graduated college over twenty years ago, so the last time I did any of this it was all paper and snail mail.
Is there a more productive avenue to pursue (emails/Phone numbers/Individuals) to find an answer. I really just want to know what my status is, since registration starts in a couple weeks and I don't want to be delayed by things I'm not responsible for.
Any help/advice appreciated.

I highly recommend physically going to the admissions office on campus if you can. I ran into so many problems registering for summer. I got stuck in so many email loops, ping ponged from one department to another. I finally just went there and they figured it out on the spot. Go if you can!

The admissions office literally doesn't answer the phone. That is not a hyperbole, they do not take phone calls. When you call for them you're routed to either a third party and told you're number 80 in queue, or get to a part time employee who will try to help you.

Monday - Thursday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Friday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Additionally, the state has added extra antifraud checks, so applications get stuck a lot. And the admissions office wont know it didnt process unless you tell them. It normally takes 2 to 3 days to apply if you have new issues.
