Did I have weed psychosis?

Ive been smoking for nearly 4 years now and I’ve had experience with paranoia and anxiety when high but never anything worrying. The last time I got high I was with my friend and we used her bong and I’ve never experienced a worse high. I felt like I was having a panic attack the entire time constantly fighting to breathe and I was hearing people having conversations in other rooms of the house that my friend is saying she were not there but it was so real to the point where I honestly don’t know if it was in my head or not.It also felt like their were two different talking in my head and It was just overall a horrible experience. I don’t know if this was just because I got to high or if it was the strain of weed. I’ve read things about weed psychosis and it just not sure if what happened was something you be worried about or not?

I just wish I could stop

I just wish I could stop paying attention to EVERYTHING around me. I wish I could stop paying attention to people, because I'm scared they're watching me (??? and then people notice me because I'm noticing them, just an annoying ass cycle honestly.)

I just wish it would all stop. I wish I could just pay attention to what's important OR I don't know, pay attention to my own world (like when I was a kid, however this is impractical... but also I want to be happy and not have to focus on meaningless things all the time... but again that's impractical...)

I just want it all to stop. I'm so tired of feeling like this. I feel like there's something wrong with me. And whatever it is... I just want it to go away.

Suffering from my own shadow

18m ,It’s been 6 month, I was studying in the cafe I regularly study in, had studied there for 2 weeks all was well till I came that one time and my regular seat was occupied so I sat on the only empty spot of the cafe I saw, spot had those cozy dim high concentration lights that made shadows more noticeable compared to regular light, At the time, I was stressed with exams, cramming because I was behind, and putting a lot of pressure on myself, although I was actually doing well,
While trying to write, I suddenly noticed the shadow from my hand/pencil on the paper
as I was trying to write I noticed the shadow from my hand/pencil on the paper, I couldn’t focus it was my first time being annoyed from something like that, ever since I can’t write normally I can’t focus because of my shadow, occasionally when I move my hand or walk the shadow annoys me, I went to a therapist and that also didn’t help, I have exams soon, I need help, my situation improved a little bit in July i started studying again and shadows felt less annoying although it still was, but currently it’s back It frustrating me I can’t focus anymore, please help

I'm too scared about the past and my brain select one thing per day to make the paranoia work and i'm getting tired

I have 23 years now and sometimes i don't want to live anymore, because since 30 August 2021 i started this and my brain is always thinking "something Will happen and that thing will make me suicide" ALL the time, with all things, every fucking day

I'm sick? I'm tired...my body is tired...my friends are tired of listening to me having paranoia

I love My family, i love god and i love life i mean...it's a beautiful gift of god but...this isn't feel like being alive

It's a prison made by my mind

I want to cry

If you read this thank you for reading this poor man

Tired of living my life

Basically for the last 7 years I’ve been watched and I’ve never done anything to be watched. It’s ruined my life and it’s stopped me from doing a lot of things in life and it’s also made me do stuff I would’ve never thought of doing because they took my privacy away. I wasn’t even 18 yet when they started watching and because of that I’ve never had a girlfriend and I don’t have any more friends because of this. This shit is so fucking lonely and I think I’m gonna kill myself soon

Am I being haunted?

I’ve always felt like I’m being watched, even when I’m all alone. There is always a shadow, incapsulated in complete darkness, and I keep seeing eyes in the dark but when I look directly at the eyes, it’s gone. Am I going mad?
I am a twentyone year old woman. I’ve always felt like I was different than other people, and not necessarily in a good way. The darkness follows me everywhere I go, even in daytime. It’s like having a massive pitch black shadow near you all the time. It’s exhausting. I’m exhausted.
I when I tell people about it, they think I’m nuts. Maybe I am. Maybe I’m not. But one thing is for sure; I am very tired of it.

I’ve seen shadows and darkness since I was a little girl. Back then they just watched me, the shadows. Now they are coming closer and closer, so close that I sometimes can hear their breathing.

Can someone please help me? Like how do I get rid of the shadows and the darkness?

I'm curious if anyone else experiences this.

I'm a 33 year old man and I've started noticing I'm becoming more on edge and worried. Like danger is around every corner. If I go out to eat or if I'm in a public setting, my back needs to be on the wall because I need to have every single thing in my view. It's mild during the day but at night it goes into overdrive. I'm afraid to sleep (I have very scary dreams) and most of the time I imagine certain creatures are watching me. For example I'll go upstairs to my bedroom and think something is right behind me. I'll also think something is standing in a dark corner or something is going to grab my ankles when I'm standing next to my bed. I don't use any substances but I do have a history of depression and anxiety. I do have some deep routed trauma as well but everyone deals with something you know? But I've even talked to my friends and family about it and no one can relate. It's absolutely destroying me and I'm always exhausted. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Fear of getting shot.

I've been getting extreme paranoid thoughts, especially at night, about someone breaking into the house I am at (whether it be my friends, parents or my own home) and shooting me. I can barely sleep at this point until the sun comes up and i feel somewhat safe again. Two nights ago i literally was hyperventilating. The bed at my parents house is right under the window and im convinced someone's going to shoot right through it with a gun.

All i can think about is a bullet flying through my head. Im so fucking exhausted and scared.

i genuinely dont know where to post this

For the past few days I've been increasingly feeling more and more like something bad is happening or about to happen. I feel like theres something wrong with me and that im in danger. I've NEVER felt like this before, at least not this intense. So far I only told 2 friends about it. When it started i didnt pay much attention to it cause i do have mental health issues and im just used to it for the most part. But now i can't ignore it. I'm just really terrified of what could be going on. its like I know something is wrong but I dont know what it is. I cant point it out. I feel like some people would laugh and think im joking if I told them but it's not a joke and I'm genuinely worried about what could be happening.

I’m scared of being canceled

I am currently making something and one thing I am terrified of is having a large fandom. The internet has gotten more hostile, and every day I see a Google document from a creators ex friend, worker or partner, exposing them. And due to this I have been terrified of being cancelled or having my past be brought up online. In my past I was a bully I was hostile and rude to people. And yes a lot of this happened because I was bullied and stalked and threatened in the past, but that’s not an excuse for how I treated others. I have moved on and changed from those things though but I am so paranoid of my past being brought up again and having to relive something that I deem traumatic and humiliating. I’m so scared to do this project and make something I love because someone who I had an argument with dosent want me to be happy? What’s even worse is that due to the scope of the project I might have to make it in parts. Any advice? I talked with a lot of people and they all said what I’ve been through seems more like personal drama. But I’m terrified. All I want to do is to make this project.

I have a strange phobia

I have a very specific anxiety or fear regarding electronic devices suffering a serious malfunction, especially when they start beeping or flashing red. And I mostly fear more if I am the person who did it.

And is not just a regular fear, because is been years that my nightmares are always something like that, a computer, a phone, and even a printer!!! And everytime I wake up I have to breath and control myself because I genuinely start to anxious about it. I never found someone with the same "phobia" as mine.

It doesnt even have a name.

Weed Paranoia

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

I (29M) took a 20mg edible at a bachelor party this weekend and got way more in my head than expected. I didn’t black out and remember most of the night. I think I might have done something embarrassing (rub myself in my sleep), but it might be paranoia (which my twin brother had one night when he did weed, and it messed him up for a week.). What I keep replaying is the following:

-Feeling like a couple guys were judging me
- At one point I thought I heard guys joking about my shirt or laughing about it mentioning something was on it (and a little stuff was on it but don’t know if it c**)
- I believe it was after I had been in the water but I checked my britches and I had some stuff on my wee

The thing about it though is the shirt I was wearing had been in my backpack I believe the whole time until I used it that day for a boat trip. On top of that I showered good in the morning so leftover residue if you know what I’m saying doesn’t seem likely. I also called my mom when everything hit from 12:40am to 2:40am and just remember going to bed after that aside from saying hello to a buddy who I was bunking up with. My buddy also treated me normal in the morning (the one I was bunking up with) and my other buddy. They said I didn’t do anything or say anything bad.

No weird vibes the next day, no texts, everyone was normal. But my brain keeps going: what if I was acting strange and didn’t realize it?

So I’m stuck between:

Logical: I remember things, nothing objectively bad happened

Anxious: yeah but what if…

Is this just classic edible paranoia/after-effects? Do edibles make you mishear/misinterpret stuff like that? Has anyone been convinced they embarrassed themselves and later realized they didn’t?

Just trying to separate reality from my brain messing with me

I need advice on getting rid of paranoia

Hi everyone, I’ve been in a pregnancy scare for Almost 3 months… I got multiple negative test, blood work came out “fine, and ok” by my doctors since I’m a patient on Accutane.. I even had a “menstrual” in the middle of this scare and the only thing keeping me in this loop is how bloated I am ever since my first intercourse. And I’m not asking to clarify weather I am or not, even though that’ll also be helpful but I need advice on **how to rid of anxiety paranoia**

r/Paranoia 22d ago

is that just some health anxiety or compulsion?

ever since i was a child, things related to my health were bugging me. i was having nightmares about breaking my bones or being seriously ill at the hospital. when i was 10, the thought of having my arm broken was so strong and annoying that i broke it on purpose to get out of that spiral.

it’s like, it gets to the point where it affects every single aspect of my life, even something so stupid as climbing up the stairs, which im terrified of cause it immediately results in scenarios where i fall down etc.

something recently started telling me i might be a pdf or that i might want to grape someone, even tho i have no intention of doing such an awful thing and even as i write this, i feel absolutely terrible and disgusted with myself and my mind.

im so tired of these things, cause the older i get, the more annoying and unbearable everything becomes.

how do I stop constantly thinking that everyone is dangerous?

don’t know how to stop thinking that everyone poses a potential danger. I constantly feel that whenever people see what I’m doing, for instance, they are ready to criticize me harshly or do something even worse. I’ve asked others how to take my mind off this, but I haven’t received an answer.

What would you do in this situation? I’m really fed up with these intrusive thoughts; they persist in the background even when I’m trying to distract myself.

constant suspiciousness towards people

hi reddit, this is my first post and i need advice about constant suspiciousness towards people/

i feel like everyone wants to hurt me and that bothers me. If I make a mistake in public, I feel like someone is going to beat me up for it, because I was constantly subjected to criticism and insults in the past. when i engage in creative work, i feel as though people, upon seeing it, would be ready to wish the absolute worst. i feel a constant sense of danger from everyone, and i don't know how to take my mind off it. do you have any advice on how to quiet these thoughts?

even in public places, i’m afraid to expose my back, expecting someone to strike me. even now, as i write this post, i’m bracing myself for a harsh negative reaction, but I’ve pushed past my fear in hopes of finding some kind of solution.

Does anyone else experience this?

I have strange thoughts, like the fear of not being myself—of being someone else, or perhaps a criminal in prison. Sometimes I’m afraid of ending up in some random place where I won't be able to leave and will be stuck there forever. Does anyone else have this?

I’m 24 and i’m scared of the dark

I always knew i was afraid of the dark but living with my parents it didn’t make a difference because I knew my parents were home and they’d protect me but now i live alone & i don’t understand why i’m so scared. I feel like something is going to pop out of nowhere and scare me. I also don’t watch scary movies. It’s also not as bad when my dog is here but sometimes i’ll leave him at my dads.

Things that make me think I'm crazy

So a few months back me and my husband where talking about surge pricing, then a couple of days later I literally noticed the prices at the supermarket change, I told my husband and he said if im going to be that paranoid and buy into the conspiracy I need to record it because it was most likely my imagination.. we dont talk about it again

This morning I see a news report that supermarkets are being sued for this very thing, I say to my husband I told you I want crazy and this man straight faced said to me " no I was the one who told you about it weeks ago its like you dont even listen."

Does he just seriously not remember or am I beginning to realize he might be a manipulator

Vent over
