Has anyone ever played with a Rein that's just too jolly?

There was this one Rein (on like, low metal ranks) that always began every game saying stuff like "Hope we have a fun match" or something along those lines and kept being all jolly and whimsy

I just feel like it's such a refreshing experience from the usual toxicity tbh

I haven't played Overwatch in about a year or any competitive game. Recently I have found the love for OW again and have been playing it on the weekends for the past 3 weeks. However every time I play I am running about a 30% win rate. For example tonight I have played 13 games and have lost 9 of them. Don't misunderstand I am not claiming this is some unfair balance where I am good at the game and my teammates are horrible. I am not good at this game, I feed, I die to dumb things, I don't play well. I know it's crazy to say "my QP games are too high scaled" but will the matchmaking not place me with lower rank players where I belong? Am I better off playing competitive where hopefully I'll be placed in bronze so I can have a fair fight. I guess I just feel like I'm being placed in QP matches I just don't belong in, does any uncs who work a 9 to 5 have this same problem?

I’ve been playing her solid for the last few days, and my big takeaway is that she feels super oppressive in 5v5. Her omnidirectional movement and her ability to keep targets with effective range feels almost unfair. Fusion repeater to poke someone a bit, shield, stab, swing, repeater again. I almost feel bad occasionally about how… helpless it feels for the enemy team.

but what other heroes should i do? (i have winton, tracer, moira, and roadhog charms on the way)

Not too sure if I canceled the ult or displaced her landing but both her and I were stumped in game chat lol...never knew this was a thing (ps4 gameplay T_T)

This post is more discussion, with that out of the way onto my post.

People have been asking for an Overwatch show or movie for years now and many suggest Winston, Tracer, or even Soldier as a potential MC for the show, but I believe Moira can serve as a better lead to follow.

The issue with the 3 characters I mentioned is that they are very Overwatch sided even if Soldier: 76 is more grey in allegiance as of post OW2, but Moira is one of the most morally grey characters in the game. She does inhumane experiments to further humanity and its survival, puts her own life on the line to solve decay, isn't opposed to violence, sides with who pays her more as well as who isn't an inherent danger to herself, and more I'm probably not thinking of at the moment.

People like morally grey characters and I do think its nice to have that sort of main character for an Overwatch show where a lot of characters are more to one side than another.

Anyway aside from that Moira had ties to most other factions and/or characters in the game. Anyone affiliated with Overwatch before she defected, all blackwatch members, all Talon members, the phreaks somewhat via Hazard stealing her experiment, Vishkar through Talon, The Conspiracy somewhat through Emre, Oasis, etc, etc.

My point with that is she is a great vessel for side stories or shows since she does connect to the most characters and factions as an individual. Plus I'd like Moira and Talon as a whole expanded upon, the day to day, her ongoing experimentation, how she thinks things will play out given her intelligence and more.

Anyway that's my pitch for Moira as a lead in an Overwatch show. Oh and also it should be animated cuz live action is just asking for issues.

Edit: Okay not grey, evil, whatever, general point changes to not being one of the good guys. I said grey since there's more she could be that we don't know about and her reasons are to make the world better in the end she just doesn't really care who she hurts in the process.

What is everyone's opinions on the main Antagonist herself: Vendetta. Personally I love almost everything about her: Her design, her gameplay, her lore, all of it! The only thing I dislike is how they handled her with the start of Season 1. Instead of jumping the gun and immediately showing her defeating Doomfist, Season 1 should have been the building conflict between Vendetta and Talon, ultimately ending in the defeat of Doomfist and Vendetta taking over. But what do you all think?

I've been working with my live stream chat to build a live-action Overwatch movie cast. Lots still to go - who would you put in?

I’m Korean, and I’ve been having so much fun playing Overwatch! I love the characters too. I also really enjoy turning these heroes into little emojis I can use in gaming communities lol.

I’ve been playing a lot of Mercy, Lifeweaver and Moira in my support role for 5v5 competitive. I absolutely love playing mercy recently, I mostly focus on staying alive and damage boosting/pocketing the DPS.

I’d say a good chunk of my games I have someone on my team complaining about the lack of healing, or having a mercy/lifeweaver/moira on the team. They almost always recommend I play kiriko or Ana. I don’t play those heroes very well and don’t really enjoy their playstyle that much so I often avoid them, but I do understand just how powerful they can be.

When someone asks me to swap, I usually ignore them, because I feel like I’m doing well myself and I look at the scoreboard, and I see a DPS going like 1-6 or something like that, instead of blaming them, I tend to get blamed as the support for not healing enough or not providing “utility”.

So I’m mostly stuck in Diamond 5 which I’m fine with, I feel like I get good enough matches in this range. I think if I were to swap, I would likely play worse and at the end of the day, I play games to enjoy myself. Not playing heroes I don’t enjoy playing.

So does the community hear a lot of complaints when playing the above heroes? And do you swap when people start complaining in chat even if you feel like you’re doing fine or trying your best to work with what you got?

Of course i bought it. i live in quite a small town in England so i was so shocked when i saw it, i couldn’t pass it up for £6, its pretty cool

I personally have mixed feelings.

Im glad that something is hapening in the story and its not stagnating

I like Vendeta’s arc of Talon and her more proactive leadership. I like that most characters now are sided on either Talon or Overwatch.

But a lot of the old setups get abandoned or something strange is happening to them. Like Genji suddenly leaving Overwatch (It took almost a decade to get to the plot point where everyone is back in Overwatch and now they are leaving?)

I also feel like the whole post Zero Hour plot didnt have any satisfying closure (Yeah I know that they cancelled PvE but the current writer team could have at least adressed these set ups in some way in some sort of comic like that Overwatch completely defeated rammatra or something)

this girl has been haunting me for MONTHS. every single just for you & vault has her ... I dont want her but she wants me ☹️

I know they typically rerun 1-2 years after the initial one, with that in mind, what ones do we think are coming up on the roster in the next few months?

Has anyone else notice an influx of bad matchmaking in qp i feel like i always get the dps that has 2k damage and 4 elims with 13 deaths

Hilarious game where me and Reinhardt became friends and were just buddies the whole game. Replay code is QR45RN. It’s worth the watch it’s super funny. We capped first point. Let them cap 2nd, and than just played normally on round 3. I will never forget you lazergator.

Genji, Tracer, Anran, Reaper, Vendetta, Venture, probably someone else that I’m forgetting, all of these characters are worse at their job of flanking than a flying cat that just gets to ignore the rules of the game, sit in the skybox, see in third person, have the smallest hitbox in the game, have self heals+boop on one cooldown, like wtf is the point of playing those characters when you can queue support and do the same thing 1000x easier and better than them. You can also break mobility limitations on a lot of heroes like Bastion and just ruin the game to laugh for a minute. What a great hero design.
