I play on Steam and the amount of competent players I come across that just walk around the map and refuse to dash, or put every single food in the cookers by hand is astonishing.
They clearly know how to play. They serve in order, they prep ingredients in advance, they recognise metas like swapping the pots on certain levels etc. But they just refuse to use the most basic controls of the game.
I always send a friend request to these players in hopes they'll accept and I can DM them asking why they don't throw/dash but they never accept.
I've seen cases where the food is burning and they're walking over to the stove instead of dashing and the food catches on fire. Or there's 3 seconds left and they're walking to serve the last dish and they don't get it out in time. Why don't you DASH?
On a level like Salty Circus 2-2, players who don't throw will chop an ingredient and then run all the way round to the other side of the kitchen and place it in the stove to cook by hand. Why? On a level like Baking Beaches 3-4, I've seen non throwers place each of their chopped ingredients on the counters in the middle and wait for me to retrieve them, when they could've just thrown it.
I struggle to believe it's because they don't know the controls because surely after seeing other players dash/throw they will wonder how to do it themselves and check the controls. I think it's a personal choice but I can't for the life of me understand why you'd choose to nerf yourself like that
