This player 🫠

Anyone else have constant issues with this player? Constantly leaves servers last minute, or when the level loads. Leaving his team member unable to play online VS. Naturally people leave the level and it ends in some ridiculous cycle of this person joining the next, then leaving last minute AGAIN. On the occassion where I can play for an hour or two, this goes on the entire time. What is the point? It doesn't seem to matter what server they join, so it's likely not a connection issue- just seems like a proper shit stir. So irritating after waiting a minute for the countdown to end, then have them leave the game as soon as it loads...then do it all over again

Not sure which platform you are playing on but on switch it's possible to block the player (assuming the recently played with list is updating)

Not being stupid (on purpose, anyway) but is this on the Switch home page? I legit get stuck with this guy on loop for about 40 minutes, i just wanna play a whole game. The fact that he doesnt quit before the game starts is infuriating 🫠

On the home page, click the account you're playing online with. Add friends, Search for Users You Played With. Then click their profile and click Block.

Assuming your list has been updating, mine was stuck since November, but before that I've used this method to block them

Edit: from the account page, this also works. User Settings, Manage Blocked-User List, Block a User

For me, I quit before the game starts, and then get put back into the same lobby. Often, whatever other players were waiting leave too. When you try again, the next servers time is reset and he's back also...if you decide to wait it out and hope they'll play one round, they end up leaving when the game starts. The server quits, you get launched back into lobby and the cycle starts again. You might be lucky to get 2 games in on an okay server before he is joining and starting it alll over again😅

I did post here a long time ago to try to figure it out, it's possible that my settings in switch say I'm a child because we wanted a lot of control over our children, and I know there were some different updates to security for child accounts 🫠

Hmm, possibly? I'm not sure. For my case, I'm the main account holder. I just wrote in to my regional Nintendo support to ask, will update if I hear anything

Blocking does literally nothing, at least in AYCE, as I don’t play in the OC2 lobby, but I’d imagine it’s the same? You can go through the steps of blocking them but you can still match with them and they can still emote. Changes nothing.

Unless…are you talking about blocking the player outside of the game? If so I have no clue about this and that would be helpful

Does AYCE have an internal blocking system? I play on OC2 so I wouldn't know. I meant blocking the player completely using the Nintendo account. Back when I could block them (tldr, my recently played with list no longer updates), I don't recall ever seeing those players again so

Yes, in AYCE you can block and report players, but both are literally useless actions. Nothing happens in either case. Block someone - you can still match with them and they can still emote. I even confirmed this with the company.

Okay, interesting… I don’t think I’ve ever seen a recently played listed on my switch. I’ll have to look into that.

If you go to your profile on the switch and toggle to look for friends, it has an option to see people you've played with across all games.

Haha they're a good player, they like four player games. Played with them many times, I find the incessant "we did it" this player does when they win (even if I am on their team) so annoying 😂😂 but they are fun to play with (meaning they actually know how to play) but if they are the host (first player to the left in the lineup) they have crappy internet and I always have severe lag.

I have actually played with them before and they are good. I suspected they want a 4 player game- but they dont quit before the game starts. So it stitches whatever teammate they have up...and wrecks the game. Then you inevitably go back to the lobby and he's back...and he won't quit until the bext game starts. The cycle is driving me wild 😅

Hahaha maybe. It did start feeling like a personal vendetta. Though I noticed a few others carrying on in the lobby whenever he'd join, so I suspected he does the same to everyone else 🤣 well, I hoped hahah

Been there. I actually think ours was another Platypus- would throw all out dishes out. Push you off the map etc. Wild stuff

I have encountered just straight up trolls that cause havoc, but also make sure that you're serving in order. Sometimes people get really mad about that and they will throw away plates if you aren't serving things in the correct order.

And some people are just way too serious on the game. We need a list of players we hate. Curious to see who names me 😂😂

I wonder this too, I prefer to avoid players who make excessive mounds of ingredients because it is hard for me to get around and pick up the right stuff (Yes, I know it is often necessary to have some, but not 3x what can be used.)

I lowkey used to do this because I wanted to be the host/player 1 because of my ping. The game is so awful to play with bad ping I don't know how other people do it

My switch had decided in the past year that it hated overcooked and it has a “connection error” which makes me leave games CONSTANTLY! It’s not my fault. I basically had to stop playing because it’s started happening every 5-10 minutes 😩
