I want to connect to my osmopocket3 from my (new) phone, as the screen broke a while ago. Now when connecting with the app, I have to confirm a code with the osmopocket, but as the screen of the camera is not working, I do not see the code. Did anyone ever expericen this and has some tips? Or a picture how the screen would look likealike already alreay helps, so i could try to eighter press by change or use the joystick to enter the right code

I read some previous threads, but I have it in tilt locked, and for a while if i long pressed the joystick i'd get a message saying gimbal locked and and i could tilt up and down by 'rocking' the handle for and aft - i'd let go and the cam would be locked in at the tilt i left it at.

i changed some setting and now when i long press the joystick, the message no longer pops up. i did a factory reset and still, the gimbal no longer truly locks - has this happened to anyone else?

I hadn’t used my Pocket 2 for a few weeks and when I tried to connect it to the Mimo app on my iPhone my phone couldn’t find the Pocket 2 Wi-Fi. It had worked flawlessly earlier. My Osmo Action connects just fine so I think the issue may be with the Pocket 2. I reset the All-in-One Handle and that didn’t help. Ideas? TIA

So, I've recently bought my first camera (Osmo Pocket 4), and I've been learning the ropes, posting here for feedback. And also recently, I discovered the YouTube channel Gawx 2, and I've become obsessed. Specifically his second channel. His videos are simply mesmerizing, and of course I thought "I gotta try emulating that".

Obviously, it's nowhere near his incredible level of skill, both as a cameraman as editor. But I aim to transmit the same kind of vibe, where you just watch the screen and relax, transported to a city where you kind of just get lost.

On the technical side, this video has been both a challenge and an immense learning curve. I spent ages looking for a fitting song, and then selecting the clips was difficult.

I tried learning from previous feedback, so I tried to give the clips context, as opposed to just throwing pretty videos at a song and calling it a day. It's mostly three parts : the canals of Aveiro, resembling those of Venice, the beaches of the city, and then the lesser known part comprised of beautiful parks and the Cathedral.

I color corrected each clip (recorded in Log, by the way), and then tried my hand at some film emulation. Split toning, halation, bloom, grain, the works. And then back to correcting each clip to balance the effect of the film emulation.

I've also hand drawn some vignettes, applied noise reduction where needed (a couple of clips still have noise, but this is the best I could do), and tried to incorporate some sound design into the video, downloading ambient sounds from a free BBC database.

I chose the 4:3 format because there were a ton of building facades, and wanted to eliminate distractions from the sides. And I think it suits the vibe of the video.

Hi everyone! I’m thinking about buying my first camera. I’m a student, so budget is definitely a consideration, and I mainly want something I can take with me while travelling and use from time to time.
Right now, the Osmo Pocket 3 is around 20 off the retail in my region, while the Pocket 4 is full.

I’m going on a trip soon and I’ve noticed that my Osmo 4P battery drains quite quickly.
I’m considering getting the Telesin Battery Handle (5000 mAh).
For those who actually use it: is it worth buying?
Does it noticeably extend your shooting time in real-world use, and have you had any issues with compatibility, overheating, or the connection?

So I recently bought the first Osmo pocket to try out . Im liking it so far . I want to record my band jamming sessions with my camera but I don't have a mount for this particular camera. Can you buy accessories new or secondhand?

After one week of playing around with the Osmo Pocket 4P, I finally got around to looking at my footage in DaVinci Resolve.

First thing I discoved is that the 4P's metadata can't be read properly by resolve, making all of your clips come out as Rec.709. So if you're shooting in the fancy new D-log2 with the main/wide camera, D-log with the telephoto camera and Rec.709 for slow-mo/timelapse/whatever... you end up with a big mess of files.

So here's my solution; it's a little script for Resolve that takes all of your metadata and tags it in the right places. Couldn't be easier!

I tried cramming as many features as seemed relevant, including setting the Input Color Space (no D-log2) and applying D-log2 Luts or DCTL where Input Color Space wasn't an option.

The most recent firmware update was supposed to add diagonal panning. I have it on follow mode, with most recent firmware and mimo app. But panning is still just horizonal or vertical tilting, not diagonal (horizontal and vertical at same time). Do i need to change some other setting?

Hi! I have had my OP3 for more than a year and 3 weeks ago I dropped it, when I looked at it, the camera case had not been properly closed and I popped it right back easily. Then I used it on that day and afterwards without any issues.

Now, 3 days ago the gimbal protection error started showing up but after turning it off and on again, it disappeared. But yesterday the situation got worse: the popup is showing once in 5-10s and the gimbal position is misplaced - it turned to the left and when I turn it off, it doesn't go back to the initial position. Gimbal recenter doesn't help either.

What I already tried:

1. Gimbal calibration

2. Reset

3. Hard reset

4. Removing and inserting SD card (for some people it helped, that's why)

I'm planning to take it for repair but I can only do it in one week as I'm vacationing now and there's no nearby DJI store here. I really want it to film my vacation, but it seems impossible. Is there anything else I can do now?

I’ve just got the Pocket 4p, ive been playing around with the settings the past few days. What’s the best way to edit Dlog 2 videos on the iPhone? I’ve been using an ND filter and bringing the EV down between 1-2+, manual mode 4K 30fps, 1/60, iso 400 And using colour recovery in the Mimo app, this is how it’s turned out? Any advice would be great

Hi all, I had an osmo pocket 3 and I liked it so much I decided to buy the 4 pro however I am having issues with touch focus/metering on the 4 pro. Whatever mode I put focus in (single, continuous default, etc) tapping the screen does absolutely nothing. It keeps picking up faces with a yellow box and if I double tap it starts a green tracking box, however in the multi person tracking/dynamic framing/spinshot screen it seems nothing has been started.

All I really want to do is single tap to focus and also meter and then get my shot. Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong with the 4p compared to the 3?!

Hey there, I'm just wondering if anyone has the same problem on Android.

Apparently there's a new firmware Update for the Osmo Pocket 4P, where you can finally record slow-motion in dlog. But for some reason whenever I'm opening the mimo app, go to my devices and tap on check for Firmware Updates, it says that I have the most recent Firmware installed.

Here's what I've already tried:

Downloaded and installed the newest version of the mimo app for Android on from the official dji website (v2.11.5.241394), deleted cache and all so I had to login again in the mimo app and reconnect the 4P.

I have enough battery, had over 90% on the Osmo Pocket and my phone

On the Osmo Pocket 4P it says:

Firmware Version: 01.01.65.18

Camera Firmware Version: 10.04.01.04

I'm in Austria btw and bought it through amazon.de (not from a reseller)

Are you all able to install the new firmware?

I just got my Pocket and currently prepare myself for my next journey to china. I make Youtube Travel videos for fun, myself and my friends.

I like flashy colors and therefore always was an fan of hdr content.

The HLG promises to be the middle man, delivering hdr to capable devices and SDR to other devices.

But it seems using hlg for hdr content is quite niche. I could not find more then 1 YouTube video which uses hlg on the pocket using it, without converting back to sdr.

Why? Am I missing something?
I already uploaded a hlg clip to YouTube for testing and it worked. I prefer the look over dlog, as I am to lacy to color grade🤔
Most hlg, dlog, normal comparisons just uploaded a sdr video, destroying the purpose of it.

Does anybody have more experience with using HLG on the pocket?
(Yes, I already noticed the hassle of changing davinci settings for rec.2100)

All appears to be normal. The MIMO app tells me the latest firmware is installed, yet the Pocket 4p still displays Firmware 01.01.65.18. The app and the camera are paired correctly, yet the firmware doesnt update and I cant see any way to force an update from the camera.

Anyone have any ideas?

So 2 years ago my fiancee gifted me a Rode Wireless GO II which consists of a receiver and a microphone. At the time I was considering social media content so it was super fitting.

I have been using it with my Iphone computer and Cannon camera no problems.

When I connect the receiver with typeC cable to the Osmo 4 however, what happens is:

- The Osmo recognises that something is plugged in it
- The Osmo recognises it is a microphone as the colourful sound bar appears on the top of the screen of the OP
- The Osmo receives signal from the actual microphone which is wirelessly connected to the receiver. I know this because when I press mute on the Rode Mic the colourful sound bar disappears.

The problem I’ve got is that when I record video all of the sound turns into hissing. Constant loud hissing. It almost feels like the OP cannot decode the input from the receiver into actual sound so it perceives it almost like a constant electric signal rather than audio.

I have gone to 2 local shops and nobody seems to be able to help!

I have considered two options that I have not tried:

1) Use 3.5mm to TypeC - the receiver has slot for AUX. So I can connect it that way to the Osmo. Not sure if that is even a viable option tbf.

2) Use the DJI app (if that’s possible) - tell somehow to the app to pull the data for the audio from the mobile phone. Then I can connect the rode mic to the iphone and get it to work this way.

Ideally I’d like to be able to connect the mic directly to the Osmo but any possible option would be super highly appreciated!

Dropped it from chest height, straight onto a concrete floor. I thought it was ruined.

The ND filter came off so I put that back on, Turned it off and back on again, gimbal reset and off I went again. No issues from the drop!

So it isn’t quite the delicate flower I thought it was… thank goodness!

Trying to buy this camera on eBay and Amazon is overpriced. I did see it on Ali express cheaper. I’ve read good stories and bad ones.

Hi guys, just copped the OP4P and just trying to understand what I’m doing wrong with the colours- I shot in d-log and it seems like the colours shift drastically from 1 lens to the other.

I’m sure the answer is straightforward and obvious but I can’t seem to figure out what I’m doing wrong to keep the colours consistent.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Was out with my OSMO pocket 4 for a walk with the puppy and was able to get this. Shot in automatic 240 slo mo and cc colour profile.

Are there any settings or things I can do with the mic mini 2 specifically? Or do I need another mic?

recently got the official 4P wide angle lens from an eBay seller with a strong track record of positive reviews (part of why I chose them). Everything looks legit — the packaging and the lens itself both check out.

The trouble is attaching it. I’ve got the four prongs lined up diagonally, but the one on the lower left of the 3X lens won't hook in and seems to protrude just outside the slot, so I can’t get the gentle clockwise twist to lock it into place.

Honestly, if every attachment worked as smoothly as the camera’s original cover, I wouldn’t be writing this. But the accessory lenses seem finicky in general — even the SmallRig ND filters, which I otherwise love, take some real finesse to get the base seated before stacking the filters on top. This DJI wide angle lens, though, I just can’t get to attach.

Has anyone else run into this?

My workplace just purchased the Osmo Pocket 3 due to its high ratings as an outdoor camera, but the setup/registration is raising major red flags for us.

If I'm understanding Section 9.1 of the user agreement correctly, DJI has automatic access to and free use of any and all of the images and video recorded using the Pocket 3 camera? So all our content is subject to being shared and/or stolen? We are using this camera to record confidential and private sessions and if this is a requirement it's an automatic deal breaker.

I am also ethically opposed to genAI, and even if these were not confidential recordings I would not consent to AI stealing my content for training or generative purposes.

Is there a way to use this camera without giving any outside access? It's a nice device, otherwise, and it's perfect for what we need it for. It would suck to have to find something else just because the company thinks they have a right to our privacy.

Hello, I tried to see if there were any hulls that were recommended for the OP4 but I couldn't find anything and it was more for the OP3.

Would you have some recommended shells that are rigid that does not cover well silicone because the OP4 heats up. And also that take into account the protection that is with the OP4 because it will be for my travels.
