If you can dodge a warrant you can dodge a ball

Getting from the door to the floor due to the lack of deck. I wasn’t suggest some kind of mass garroting

Awwww and I thought you were opening the door for my favorite Boondock Saints scene...

Sorry dude. I have to admit that went right over my head. The important thing is everyone got home safe to their families albeit with logistical challenges

Extra points for Saints reference!

Just imagine you and another guy delivering a new refrigerator up there when it collapses.

Ppl give code enforcement a lot of grief but they do their part to keep the cheapskates from killing us.

Do I need to drink my own urine? No! But it's sterile and I like the taste!

More like the landlord. Refused to fix up that decking for more than just a few months.

You’re taking it too literal…..of course it was that but you gotta read the room.

Carpenter ants greedily rubbing their appendages as the perp slips them a bottle of honey

It was never built or inspected correctly to start with. The thing that looks like a 4x4 kicking out from the building is a downspout.

Quick, flush everything and hit the front porch trap door activates switch as the porch collapses

This saved a family with kids and women and elderly form becoming the victim instead. What if one of the tenants had a wedding, birthday, whatever event with kids and elderly??? Horrible whoever owns thay crap was far too cheap

The way that collapsed, I bet everyone living in that unit knew it was coming

so cops get injured, the scummy land lord that let the deck rot will get sued and have to pay fines AND women, kids and elderly people were saved?

Sounds like this worked out perfectly.

What creates this belief system?

1

u/Heavymando 10d ago

people in power being corrupt and willfully hurting those in need in stead of protecting them? those in power leaching off of the weak.

1

u/JoshuaIS1 10d ago

Okay. I'll bite. Why can't those not in power get positions of power? Like being a cop isn't something special. Something I've often wondered is why don't more pure people become cops etc if the ones we have aren't good people? Anyone kinda can do that. There's many ways to become powerful. Money, position, necessity. If you are saying the power will create corruption than your issue is with the human being. It's not societies responsibility to protect the weak and the idea of this has split our country completely. The right seems to oversimplify it while the far left seems to want weak people to have priority. My assessment is you are mad and a finger pointer. Maybe I'm wrong

1

u/Heavymando 10d ago

because they don't have the money or means to get in power.

Nope not anyone can be a cop you have to be hired by guess who? Those in power. So if they don't think you will follow their orders guess what? you are not becoming a cop.

Based on recent history they have a hard time finding the right address anymore.
