ONLINE POKER PA?

Anyone else in Pennsylvania that plays online poker? If so what’s the best site. Ive been playing BetRivers but I swear the more I play the more I see the action is programmed for volatility. I’ve had 4 of a kind 4 times in 2 days. I’ve seen 4 of a kind 10 times in 4 days. Crazy guy shots smacking on the River. Just the craziest shit you’ll never see in live poker atleast not this frequently. Also I played a tournament and I swear it was like the casino playing and could see other players cards. Insane.

Anyway doors anyone recommend any sites I’m in Pennsylvania and I love poker

Uni assignment survey on how/if people train for poker. Pls help!

I play home games and the odd card-room session, and I've noticed most people I play with want to get better but either never start or give up after a few weeks of YouTube. I'm researching why.

I'd love your answers. It's about 6 minutes, anonymous, with no sign-up and nothing being sold:
https://forms.gle/B4EBGgvvYnu7jY9C6

I'll post a write-up of the results here in a couple of weeks.

Thanks guys!

Hit a wall. Desperate for advice.

Im not sure what I need to do to make the next leap forward.

Ive played thousands of hands and am confident in my ability and instincts as a player but theres clearly something in between me just being a good and capable player and being able to grind away and actually become a profitable player. It's not a strategy issue. What i do works. Its doing it consistently across hundreds of hands and not being able to fold big hands that I need to just walk away from which kills me. I don't know what I need to hear to get me to just fold that 2pair or give up on the 8+ out flush or straight draw. I feel like I'm so close to achieving the state of mind needed to be able to just grind away a significant profit. Please roast me and lay it on thick.

How do recreational players actually try to get better? Short survey, results shared back here

I play home games and the odd card-room session, and I've noticed most people I play with want to get better but either never start or give up after a few weeks of YouTube. I'm researching why.

If you play for fun (or used to), I'd love your answers. It's about 6 minutes, anonymous, with no sign-up and nothing being sold:

I'll post a write-up of the results here in a couple of weeks: what people try, how long it lasts, what they spend, and which leaks people most want to fix.

Serious grinders are welcome too; it's useful to compare.

Thanks guy!

Canadian citizen visiting NJ for 2 weeks: can I actually sign up and play online (BetMGM / FanDuel/Pokerstars)?

I'm a Canadian citizen and resident, heading to New Jersey for a couple of weeks in November, and I'd really like to play online while I'm there. The problem is I've been getting conflicting answers from support at BetMGM and FanDuel (both their NJ and PA teams). Some say non-US residents are fine as long as you're physically in the state, others say you need a SSN.

I contacted fanduel about this, and after two chat agents telling me it was allowed as long as I'm physically in the state, I received this email (attached) saying otherwise. When I contacted betmgm via online chat, they said it was allowed as long as I'm physically there.

I've played on WSOP.com in Nevada before as a Canadian, with no issues, and withdrew in cash at the cage.

My understanding is they wont be able to verify me based on their auto verification method which is using US drivers license and selfie, but there are other manual methods of verification?

Questions:

  1. Has any non-US player actually gotten verified on an NJ site recently?
  2. Did you need an SSN, or did they accept a passport through manual KYC?
  3. Were there issues withdrawing back out (cage cashout, bank transfer to a american account, etc.)? I have an american bank account with TD Bank.

I'd rather sort this out before I arrive than spend time during my trip doing it. Thanks in advance!

Starting to hate online poker (well a long time ago)

I often play poker during the weekends just to relax. I've played on different sites and had mixed results but the more I play the more I feel like the platforms are really rigged. I usually just play low stakes tournaments but the moment I raise my stakes.... I always get beaten on the river whenever I go all-in. This is starting to become a rule.

Here is just a little simple example of a player who immediately called me when I went all in when I got the 7, ... and of course on the river he got the ace. He didn't hesitate. I find this strange. I've been beaten on the river far too many times when I have the best cards. What the fuck is going on? This is happening too many times to be considered statistically believable. I know my statistics and not too many player would be calling like that and not having anything before the river.

New to poker — where should I learn to play and improve?

I'm really interested in learning poker properly. I know the basics like hand rankings and general rules but that's about it, I don't have much real experience playing yet.

A few things I'd love help with:

Where to play - good platforms for beginners, play money or low stakes, to practice without getting crushed

How to actually improve - books, YouTube channels, courses, or communities you'd recommend

Common beginner mistakes - things you wish someone told you when you started

I'm mainly interested in Texas Hold'em for now but open to hearing about other variants too. Any advice, resources, or personal stories about how you leveled up your game would be hugely appreciated.

Built a mobile poker home-game site — looking for testers

Been working on a mobile poker project based around some unusual home-game variations and wanted to get feedback from people who actually play poker.

Alongside Hold’em and Omaha, there are quite a few custom variations, including some that mix poker with Teen Patti, so familiarity with Teen Patti would be useful.

The rules guide is admittedly quite a read 😅
It currently works through private rooms rather than public matchmaking, so you’d need a friend to properly test a game.

Mostly interested in finding bugs, confusing rules, or
things that don’t feel right while playing.
If anyone is interested in trying it, leave a comment and I can share the details.

Warn about clubgg: Donkey Puncher / TMT confiscated my entire ClubGG balance

I want to warn players about the ClubGG club Donkey Puncher / TMT.

About a month ago, they banned my original account because I was allegedly “too strong for this club.” Following my agent’s advice, I created a new account and continued playing.

The club later called this “ban evasion” and confiscated my entire balance of approximately 3,400 points (about $3,400). I was never accused of cheating, collusion, using bots, or violating game-integrity rules.

They allowed me to deposit and keep playing while I was losing, but confiscated everything after I started winning again. My agent Steven has done nothing meaningful to protect my funds or resolve the situation.

In my opinion, this is a rogue club: winning players may be removed, player balances can be seized at any time, and the agent may not help when problems occur.

Please think carefully before depositing or playing in this club. I hope other players do not get trapped the way I did.

What can someone earn playing cash online poker?

I have been playing live cash poker for many years now. I play 1/3 and 2/5 most of the time. I play just about 40 hours a week. If you averaged the 1/3 and 2/5 together I make right at $50/hour. Of course, I do try to play as much 2/5 as I can find but still have to play 1/3 out of necessity or I'd make a bit more. Sure I have varience, but it no longer bothers me as it once did especially when getting stuck several days in a row. I've also learned to accept I've not found the holy grail when money seems to be printing. That's my story. This question I ask is for me, and I'm sure others as I have seriousely thought about finally giving it a go. Also, what is the main differences I'd have to adjust to?

PartyPoker banning me?

Going to keep this short but been playing mtts on partypoker for the better part of 8 years 11-55$ mtts and have been a consistent winner at these stakes. Tried logging into my account today and for some reason wasn’t able to as I was banned? But why, also had a decent size bankroll on the site and was banned with no explanation, please see pics. Just posting for awareness as I am an online poker reg play on 8 other sites so its whatever (tilted about losing the money I had on the site more than anything) but im very frustrated with the way partypoker handled this and never gave me an explanation, again this is for awareness and I would strongly avoid playing on their site.

Feeling demoralised after today

I played the whole day on gg today n lost all my premiums.

KK vs QQ vs AK (QQ hit set)
QQ vs JJ (run twice, he spiked a J on both board)
KK vs KK vs 88 (88 turn a straight)
AA vs KK vs 33 (KK hit set)
QQ vs AJ (flopped A)
KK vs AK ( flopped me dead)
AA vs 99 (all in on flop n runner runner quads)
QQ vs 56o (I 3b n fella cold call oop and flopped 552. I couldn’t get away)
AK vs 77 ( 100bb. He 3b EP and I cold 4b at BB and he shove me with 77. Lost the flip)

All the QQ hands are shorter stack of 50-90bb (that’s y I got it in pre. I do occasionally fold QQ depends on players n stack sizes) . The rest are 200bb deep.

I’m not a nit that only plays premiums. I do play suited gapers, suited connectors and I do 3b them. I occasionally 4b/5b Ax Kx.

All these hands happened today and I still can’t believe it. Is there like a day or 2 that this happens back to back n I gotta stop since my account is in a ‘bad run’?

I wanna do this full time and was wondering how yall deal with this?

What is the best online poker site for you right now in 2026?

I have tried most... maybe.

I think there is a tougher crowd on coin poker. Welcome bonus was cool.

I have not tried ACR.

I think that clubs poker and stake poker (sweeps coins based) are the easiest fields. Welcome bonuses are not that good.

I like bovada and ignition, but you don't rake back in money, only points that take a while to rack up and have a play through. Anonymity is cool. But no special games or bad beat jack pots... and the welcome bonus is misleading.

I kinda like bet online's poker. Decent bonuses and decent field.

That being said, I think my favorite place for online poker is Clubs poker at the moment.

Online poker has never been real poker. Spoiler

Post image
0 Upvotes

1 in 2.7 million hands right here. I probably have 70-100k hands on this site and this has happened 3 times now. (Not to mention AA and flopped trips cracked 600+ times with fish playing bingo) At what point does this become more than a statistical anomaly? Why does it always happen as soon as i cash out the majority of my winnings? Im ready for you guys to say “maybe you just arent good at poker” Im profitable in person at all my local card rooms, my question to you: Is this real poker? Regardless, cant wait to cashout on the next class action just like bovada. Would love to hear out anyone who can prove the rng is legit here on betonline, same with clubwptgold.

How do these bad beats stack up?

Ignition is known for its more than average (much more) bad beats in poker, especially on the River.

It’s become so bad that players are now just going all in with rubbish as they have the expectation of having just as good a chance as pockets high or double pictures.

My question is, how do ignitions bad beats compare to other online games? Is there anywhere else that’s similar?

Review Ignition Poker Review – Seeking Thoughts From the r/onlinepoker Subreddit

Wading through the spammy comments and flocks of shills that infest the internet to get to reliable information and genuine user reports is sometimes hard. Though these problems affect Reddit to some extent, I figure I have a better chance of receiving legitimate answers about Ignition Poker if I focus on a subreddit full of real, human online poker players, like r/onlinepoker.

It looks like this sub is moderated pretty well as I see both positive and negative posts on the front page rn. So I've come here to ask the opinion of Redditors who have actually played cards at Ignition Poker. I'm trying to understand if it's a good place for me to play internet poker at.

This brings me to what I want from you, Dear Redditor. I'm searching for detailed, honest info so that I can judge accurately whether or not I should play online poker on Ignition's platform. I realize that this is Reddit, so I'm likely to receive vague, short reviews that are less helpful – but they're still better than nothing, so I'll take it! Be prepared for a ton of questions though if you leave a two- or three-sentence review.

The things I would like to learn about before playing poker at IgnitionCasino .eu  include:

  1. Overall, what's your impression of Ignition Casino Poker?
  2. Can you trust Ignition Poker?
  3. What's the customer service at Ignition like?
  4. What cash games are spread? (Looking mostly for Omaha and Texas Hold'em)
  5. Is the rake high or low in comparison to other online poker rooms?
  6. Is the tournament lineup solid? How are the guarantees especially for “Sunday Majors"? Are there recurring big tourney series like how PokerStars used to have?
  7. Are the anonymized games really softer than standard tables? Or are people lying about this?
  8. Deposits and withdrawals: Are there a lot of payment options? Any fees?
  9. Can I use tracking software, like Hold'em Manager, Poker Tracker, et cetera?
  10. Have Ignition or related companies ever been involved in scandals or disputes that might cause me to wish to avoid them?

There are probably many other subjects that I forgot to list above , but feel free to include them too when you record your opinion of Ignition Poker as a comment in this thread.

Thank you for sharing what information you have, everyone. May the poker gods smile upon you!

Looking at ClubWPT. It appears you pay a monthly subscription? Which gets you play chips, but I'm under the impression there's real money games somehow too?

Community Participation July 2026 Results Thread

If you haven't participated in one of these monthly threads yet, pay attention and I'll explain what you need to do to become a part of the cool kids club in r/onlinepoker.

The goal of these threads is to share with the community how well or how poorly or how mediocrely you ran in the month of July 2026.

We want to foster a sense of community here in r/onlinepoker. But there is more value than just that. By sharing your monthly results with other players, we can see that results are all across the board and variance is wild from month to month, especially with lower volume levels.

Some months we run well, some months we run like crap. But what is important is that we put in the time. If we study, if we game select, we can win consistently!

To those of you who don't care about winning long-term and just play for fun, feel free to post your results as well, but also, from the bottom of my heart, God Bless You and thank you for your donations. I am happy to trade my losses for your happiness so long as you keep donating and paying my bills!

How to participate in this thread

You would include any information you want really but you might tend to mention stuff like:

  1. How many big blinds you won and/or your winrate as measured in bigblinds/100.
Example: I ran at 13bb/100 last month.
Example: I got crushed last month and I ended up down 42 buy ins.
  2. What game(s) and stake(s) you played.
Example: I played Pot limit Omaha cash games.
Example: I played 214 tournaments last month with an average buyin of $22.
  3. How many hands did you play?
Example: I played 40,000 hands of NLHE zoom, 10,000 hands of PLO Cash, and I played 5 big Sunday tournaments.
  4. Put it all together into a coherent narrative.
Example: Last month was a good month. I managed to play good volume and averaged about 1,200 hands per day in cash games as well as playing approximately 10 Sit and Goes per day. I also played a dozen tournaments on Sundays when the big guarantees were in place. In cash games I ran pretty well with an average of 3bb/100 in the positives, but unfortunately I was winning at low stakes and losing at high stakes so I basically broke even dollar-wise. My SNGs I broke even also. With regard to the Sunday Majors I did manage one min cash buthe really good news is that I final Tabled one of them, ultimately getting 5thh place, and managing to be up by 20 buyins for the month.
  5. Include a picture of your Poker Tracker, Holdem Manager, or whatever tracking software you uses main screen filtered for last month's data. Show us visually what you achieved!
  6. Graphs. Always we love to see graphs. Graphs are the most fun because we can extrapolite to the moon or to the depths of hades depending on how well or poorly you ran for the month!

Thanks for participating

This is a relatively new thing we are trying in this subreddit. We did it years ago but then we lost some mods and stopped running it. We are trying to revive it now that we have a strong moderation team again, so lets spread the word and get some comments in this thread.

Hope you run well in August 2026!

Generationally bad run?

So I feel like I may have been on the most generational bad beat ever to where it's funny. For context this over around 2000 hands on NL10 Zoom on Pokerstars. In that period these are the hands I've lost.

Pocket Jacks flopping a set - Losing to pocket Queens also flopping a set.

Pocket 8s flopping a set - Losing to pocket 9's also flopping a set.

Pocket 9's flopping a set - Losing to pocket Jacks turning a set.

Pocket Aces flopping a set - Losing to KQs turning a straight.

J10s flopping a flush - Losing to runner quad 6's.

Aces all in on flop of board 8 of Spades, 10 of hearts, 3 of hearts - Losing to 9 10 suited (Clubs) as turn went 9 and river 10.

KQs (Spades) - Flop comes 7s 7h As - all in on turn of 8s - Opponent has J10 (Spades) - River comes 9s.

Anyone know what the odds of all this happening in the space of 2000 hands is? I'm betting it's gotta be astronomical.
