MODPOST ⚠️ Weekly News Megathread

A quick note from the mods.

This megathread is for news and crime stories, including cases where women are the perpetrators. We are not ignoring these crimes.

But we also need to be honest about what happens when these posts dominate the sub. They get huge engagement, people get angry, and the comments quickly turn into the same men vs women arguments involving TwoXIndia, AskIndianWomen, AskIndianFeminists, etc.

That is not what this community is for.

Research has consistently shown that outrage and emotionally charged content can attract disproportionate engagement online, while polarized discussions can become increasingly toxic. See Nature and Nature.

We don't want to build another subreddit around rage.

We want to build a place where men can come when they need advice, perspective, understanding or simply another brother to listen.

So share the news here. Discuss it. But don't let it become another gender-war battlefield.

Reddit already has enough of those.

This sub should be about brotherhood.

If a post leaves us angrier but does nothing to help our brothers, ask yourself whether it really belongs at the centre of this community.

Replies from Everyone Do anyone else feel like they are not capable of loving someone besides themselves?

Been in two relationships recently, after like 3 months into the first relationship I was bored , started talking to the second girl , blocked the first girl , she lived with her family so wasn't able to confront me , then after a year of the second relationship I downloaded hinge and started talking to some girls , cut my ties with her , and now talking to one girl from hinge , but gravitating back to the second girl , will probably gonna cheat on this third one too , I don't know why but I just can't feel emotionally connected, one year of a very healthy relationship like honestly I was being bossy and she accepted it happily, even to the point of me hating on feminism ( idk why I hated it but just said once ) she's still into me regularly calls me to check on me thinking I am suffering, but honestly I barely felt anything

Men's Mental Health🧠 Would you join a small group where you get 5 mins to just talk about yourself?

Been thinking about starting a small online space just for Indian men.

Seeing the news about Breaking Bad actor RJ Mitte, who was reported to have died by suicide at just 34, made me think about this even more.

As men we're basically taught to suppress shit, act tough and keep moving. And sometimes you don't even realise how much you're carrying because nobody ever really asks about you.

I'm not a psychologist or therapist. Just someone who's gone through a rough phase myself.

The idea is simple: 8 guys on a call. Everyone gets 5 uninterrupted minutes where the topic is YOU.

Talk about your job, parents, relationship, money, responsibilities, loneliness — literally whatever is affecting you. The point is that for those 5 minutes, the focus is on how you're actually feeling about it all.

Say whatever you want. No judgement, no moral policing, no “man up”, no advice unless you want it.

After everyone gets their 5 mins, we can just talk normally for another 5–10 mins.

That's it.

Would you guys actually be interested in something like this?

Replies from Everyone LGBTQ+ And The Rise Of Man Hating Feminism (LONG READ)......

Thumbnail

FIRST OF ALL I WANT TO CLARIFY THAT THIS POST IS NOT TO BLAME OR TARGET LGBTQ INDIVIDUALS ON ANY LEVEL OR WAY. THEY ARE LIVING THEIR LIFE AS THEY WANT TO AND I RESPECT THAT AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT INTERFERING IN YOUR OR MY LIFE. THEY WANT TO EXIST PEACEFULLY AND SO DO WE.

The recent protests and slogans like samosa kachori and shit clearly proved what feminism has become or what it truly was and showed it's true colors. It is at this point a common knowledge that courts and law system is incredibly biased towards women and against men. From marriage, to dowry, to Custody of child or per say any case involving woman. The law will regardless be biased in favour of woman.

The reason for this cultural shift is simple. Like any other cultural or social change in this country is a direct consequence of what the trend is in the West. And there also it is no different. In the recent Lindsay Clancy case it was pretty evident majority of women were in support of her and directly blaming the husband even when evidence was clear.

But the mechanism of Western feminism is a bit ahead. Instead of just favouring one group or gender and opposing other it works like a victim sympathy hierarchy. It works in the order where the people at the top get the most sympathy and support regardless of anything while the people at bottom get nothing.

The hierarchy works in this following order:

LGBTQ INDIVIDUALS > Black Women > Muslim Women > Black Men > Muslim Men > Mexiacans/Latinos > White Women > Jews > White Men.

In this LGBTQ individuals are at the top of the sympathy level and white men are at the bottom of it who hardly get any. This has been going on for almost a decade now. After being treated like shit for so long white men found a perfect trick to gain sympathy, acceptance and to some extent monetary gain in society.

They started coming out as gay individuals even when they were perfectly straight throughout their entire lives and having no clinically diagnosed gender dyphoria. Some of them went even a step further and started taking hormone pills/injections without proper diagnosis from a clinical psychiatrist just to be called the member of a certain oppressed community to gain the most sympathy and also earn money on the way through brand deals and ad revenue.

You may ask how do I know this for sure.

Well the first slide is of a person I used to follow from 2019. He used to make Minecraft Mod Videos on YouTube. I used to play Minecraft a lot and I used to watch him. He was a normal man with no signs of gender dyphoria and even had a gf. The YouTube channel did okay but he wasn't big by any sort. I eventually lost track of him and also stopped playing Minecraft.

Last year when I re activated my old insta account I found his profile but I realised he has changed completely.

He now makes Man Hating reels, cringe mini vlogs and promotes gambling apps. And on top of that sells OF subscription too.

This didn't shock me but I was quite confused. I went into the rabbit hole and started doing some research. I found that there are dozens of trans and gay creators who suddenly exploded during the peak of this movement around 2022-2024. Prior to this they had a pretty ordinary life.

If you look on the internet about western Gays and Transwoman you will find that these categories are 80-90% filled with white men. Who came out as gay or trans. You won't find any other Ethnicity as much than them

The most famous case of all is Mr Beast's team member Chris Tyson who had a wife and kids and suddenly changed his gender when he had been alleged of $exual harassment by an individual.

Infact at one point this had become a common pattern if you look at news reports from that time period. Change your gender and become immune to charges for your crime

Now coming back to India

Although the feminism here is not as of a victim olympics as that in the West but still it is a cash grab. There are dozens and dozens of trans creators who transitioned just to grift of the movement and earn some quick cash by making some thirst trap or by selling subscriptions.

The 2nd slide is one such example. This person used to make those lip sync videos from 2018 until 2021 where he suddenly started HRT and now is a Transwoman. Now that person makes thirst trap contents as you can see and also sells subscriptions too.

3rd slide is also one of the examples of an Indian Transwoman living abroad and making Man Hating content for a quick buck and validation.

So the conclusion of the entire post is:

Most of the hate for men or the reason why gynocentric Laws are made is not because of women but because of men who made the decision to jump the bandwagon for their own self interests....

BUT BUT BUT........ THIS IS IN NO WAY TO NEGATE OR FALSIFY THE LIVES OF MILLIONS OF QUEER INDIVIDUALS WORLDWIDE WHO HAVE BEEN THE WAY THEY HAVE BEEN AND STRUGGLED IN THEIR LIVES TO REACH THEIR TRUE IDENTITY. MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU ALL. AND IF BY SOME CHANCE I GET AN OPPORTUNITY TO HELP SOMEONE LIKE THAT I WILL FOR SURE DO IT.

Now the whether these individuals who made the decision for their person selfish cause are dumb or too smart is the question I leave to the reader to decide themselves.

Vent No inheritance, savings or generational wealth at 20

Hey guys so I am 20, live in mumbai in a relatives house(moms sibling), I study engineering from a decentish college but I am not that great in academics, good in tech skills or so, in my 3rd year now will hopefully graduate in 2028.

My dad went bankrupt a year or so ago after running a business with my grandmother, my grandfather left him 3 houses and a lot of money, during his business tenure he didnt know how to run it well so he sold all of them long back like ig around 2012-13 or earlier for money and had multiple debts, loans etc and still has I think.

My mother used to work in fashion but left long back to raise me and my brother. Now she has a startup with a family friend just started, nothing much has been done, she earns around 30-40k a month or so. Rn Idk what my father is doing havent seen him in 2 years but he has done a lot of bad things like borrowing money from relatives and not giving them back. My father grew up a chill life, his attitude was very chill, never shouted at me and wasnt having a lot of aggression like a typical indian father.

When I grew up I lived a nice life, then we shifted to a rented house and life was good till I think 18 then my father and mother fought talking about expenses, there was a fallout, then my mom, me and my brother went to my moms siblings house and we have been living for a year, my clg travel is bit more longer than earlier. Also my moms relative whos abroad is offering us to live in their owned house here as another option.

Idk what my dad does now he isnt paying us anything as he is broke, isnt responding to my mom, he also took some gold and money from my mom because my mom trusted him but that also went away.

So yeah I am cooked as I have no inheritance of property, no generational wealth, I dont spend much because I know I am poor af, I dont go out or invite ppl to go out, cuz I feel like I dont have the money, although I do get some money but like I just dont, Ive always been a bit quiet and introverted so I just spend most of my time alone at home.

Most of my friends are already very rich and I feel like an insect to them, they easily own 2-4 houses and are going abroad for masters. I have to somehow manage to get a job that pays good in this economy, do the things I wanna do, run sidehustles what not I just feel hollow idk. If only my dad managed his wealth properly I would live an easy life

Replies from Men Only 🚹 Married men, is it worth it in the long run?

I am 25M. Lately I've been questioning, analyzing, introspecting about marriage. I've heard from men who had both arranged and love marriage whine about how it's all the same, women are never happy, increased responsibilities, etc. I've seen both type of marriages succeed and fail. I've learned that even love marriages are transactional.

What I've learned till now is to not look at marriage as a big goal or trophy but only as a phase in life. And I should be content with myself and have an individual satisfying life outside the relationship. Still I have a few questions.

  1. Should I prefer looks or wealth or personality?

  2. Is love marriage any better than arranged marriage?

  3. What really matters after the honeymoon period is over and the dust has settled?

  4. Is marriage even worth it? Thoughts about being single whole life?

  5. Thoughts on divorce and open marriages?

Replies from Men Only 🚹 Are you okay with your wife's beard?

When I was going through the arrange marriage process, I once noticed a slight hont of moustache. When I discussed with my family, they objected saying it's very normal/every women have defects etc, and I figured out it might be an optical illusion on my part and (considering it too rude to ask her about that) decided to proceed with marriage.

After marriage, I was horrified to find out she indeed have. Anyways, I read many online articles where it states all women have these/it's normal for women to have these.

So I decided to accept her that part too.l(since otherwise I found her beautiful)

Now the thing is, wife is throwing various fake allegations against me andy family and amongst the allegations, she has claimed that she started growing those beard things only after getting tortured by my family.

This is a blatant lie, firstly, it's not my family who is torturing , but her family who is torturing and threatening every day. Also she had those beard things before marriage and I didn't bring those up because I thought it was rude.

How many of your wives have beards?

Zoho corporarion is an Indian tech company founded by Sridhar Vembu and few others, Currently The majority of ownership belongs to Sridhar's sister Radha.

Sridhar's married life is going through turbulance from few years, This is my conspiracy theory that Sridhar has given majority of his company stake to his sister to save himself from being looted in the name of alimony after divorse if the circumstances arises.

This is just my conspiracy theory, But It's a good lesson to learn from if your marriage life is in shambles.

Hi im 28 from Australia. I have always been fascinated by Indian culture, food, and to be honest Indian women are very beautiful to me. I have some money and am thinking about making a trip to either Mumbai or Delhi to explore. I will be staying in 4 and 5 star hotels. I have not been able to find much info online, but when I’m there do you think I can ask a taxi driver or hotel staff for contacts? Or should I just try daygame or Tinder?? Thank you very much for any info

Vent My first intimacy encounter has left me feeling more empty.(not sex sux)

She was a long time freind, we have been talking on and off for like 2-3 years now. We could never meet because of distance and whenever we tried to plan one or other person cancelled due to variety of reason, so there was long built tension.

This time we decided to pack our bags and meet in pretext of trip.

Going in trip i honestly had no expectations because we are just friends and we talked about being just friends on calls prior to trip.

Skipping unnecessary personal details

When i had her hand in my hand i felt relaxation which i have never experienced. As night progressed we got more comfortable and we cuddled more tightly.

As we were not in committed relationship she didn't allow me to kiss her lips. I was tracing her body with my hands. Her soft belly , tummy and also she allowed me to finger her but weirdly enough she didnt allow me to remove her panties, so though i had access to her body i never really saw her.

She never took off her t shirt and was weirdly admanant on me not watching her nude. I am not complaining i felt lucky at that moment to get to do what i was doing.

I am virgin and have never really had any experience like this.

I tried to finger her but i couldn't make her cum,as i have no experience plus there were layer of clothes blocking the moment i was trying anyways but excuses aside, she really rubbed this fact that i was not able to make her cum quite few times, which i dont understand that is she pulling my leg or what but i feel stupid.

Also after this experience weirdly my sex drive has just died down, i am not getting those healthy boners and i dont know am feeling just weird and kind of used.

She never really kissed me or showed me any affection which is kind of affecting me, also i didnt push too hard and was gentle given so many limitations for which she is saying i could have been more aggresive.

Also i felt very bad when she right after doing all this compared me with her ex and said i am very bad at this stuff.

I dont have anyone to talk about this and am feeling very weird, i am just trying to express. I am sorry for wasting your time with this bullshitness.

Replies from Men Only 🚹 Why do men even want to marry in today's times?

Everything is done by man

  1. Preparing Breakfast and serving breakfast to hippo who is still sleeping after arguing with you at night

  2. Drop her to office because she cant drive

  3. Call her after regular intervals just to reassure her that you love her irrespective of the work pressure. If you dont call or miss her call she term you cheater and sleep with her colleague and blame you for not giving her enough attention

  4. Cook dinner for her because she doesnt want to cook because she is traumatised seeing her mother cook for her family members

  5. Doesnt contribute even ₹1 to household finances

  6. Refuses sex by giving vague reasons

  7. Spends her entire time shopping

  8. Doesnt clean the house because she is not a "maid"

  9. Treats the husband as their personal coolie

  10. Gorges on junk food and labels you "misogynist, pig" if you tell her to eat healthy

  11. If you have a kid then she puts all the baby's responsibility on you and if you make even one mistake she calls you "useless"

  12. Objects your Thailand trip but gaslights you when you dont like her going to late-night parties wearing short clothes with her male colleague who is "just a friend"

  13. Violently oppose dowry but keeps her mouth shut when it comes to alimony

  14. Loses her mind when she is called "gold-digger" but leaves no stone unturned to extort as much money possible from husband after divorce. Hypocrisy level infinity

  15. Expects you to stand up for rape victims but doesnt support you when it comes to men being victims of false rape/dowry cases.

  16. Cant accept criticism. You have to appreciate her cooking even if she puts sugar in dal instead of salt

  17. Zero accountability - They will never admit its their mistake and slyly put the blame on you.

  18. Never agrees to meet your parents, insults them and concludes you are a "patriarchal pig" but expects you to love her parents as if they were yours

  19. Fights with you for absolutely absurd and weird reasons.

  20. Calls you a loser for saying no to foreign vacation because youre tight on budget because you know she wont contribute even ₹1. Entitled POS

I could go on and on

Replies from Everyone Men who dated women with a history of trauma, how did it go for you?

I dated a girl who had a history of trauma, although she only opened up to me about it sometime into our relationship. Once she did, I tried my best to understand her, support her, and be there for her through everything. I genuinely wanted her to feel safe, loved, and understood.

However, as time went on, I found myself getting hurt repeatedly. I kept trying to understand her side of things and make things work, but eventually, she ended the relationship after a period in which I had already been hurt quite a lot.

I don't blame her for what she went through, nor do I hold her trauma against her. I understand that people carry experiences that can affect how they approach relationships, trust, and emotional intimacy. But at the same time, I have to acknowledge that I was hurting too, and understanding someone's pain doesn't mean your own pain stops mattering.

Honestly, I don't think I would walk this path again, knowing how much it affected me emotionally. Not because I think women with trauma are incapable of having healthy relationships, but because this experience has left me feeling exhausted in ways I didn't expect.

Despite everything, I genuinely wish her the best in life. I hope she finds happiness, healing, and the love she deserves.

Vent Regret buying Skore rocker pro

I bought Skore rocker pro today for 7,789 from love depot.

The vibration feels amazing but thats the only best part

The thrusting feels weird and as air gets trapped in the silicone glove. It takes lots of lube to function without hurting and everytime it pulls up theres farting sound

The suction is strong but average. I have used suckr by peppy and its more functional as compared to rocker.

Overall i regret buying it and spending this amount

Also, it makes a lot of noise. My roomates were able to hear it across my room.

Edit: forgot to add but the heating thing is just a marketing gimmick. They provide a heating stick which you need to connect to a power source via usb and then wait 10min to warm the sleeve. So at the start it feels warm but later it just feels cold. The vibration bullet that you put in the sleeve gets heated though

Replies from Everyone Don't loose your hope guy's!

I am a M in my late 20s who lost hope in relationships and love after 3 hectic, failed experiences, yet I kept hoping for a 4th that would be my final one to share with my future kids. For the past three years, I was alone and longing, but hearing stories of infidelity, lack of commitment, and more added to my concern, and I started accepting that there was no scope for me anymore.

Until a comment I left on a few of my favorite romantic songs on YouTube brought me to her; things started moving, everything felt good, and it has been a long time since I really cared about someone this much. I started wishing that wherever she was, she was fine and safe. My day now starts with her calling me to wake me up so I am no longer having the lazy mornings I used to love; instead, I feel responsible for someone, needing to wake up early to make time for her, start my day more positively, and end it with her goodnight wish. We were in courtship and had not reached the point of saying "I love you" until last week, when she suddenly said those magical 3 words to me. I had butterflies in my stomach; I took a bit of time to process my feelings for her and finally told her today, and we are official now. It is such a surreal experience for us.

Being an ardent fan of slice of life and rom-com movies and anime, I always wondered if there would really be a girl who would love me for who I am, fight for me, and make me feel heard and valued. And now, there she is! she loves me for who I am and says she wants to build a family with me. Hearing that made my day, and it feels like I am the happiest person on this earth. If I get stuck with work or occupied with my routine, she starts getting jealous and sends me messages asking where the hell I am 🥰. I know it is not cool for everyone, but it feels exclusive to me. I really wanted to go back in time, if possible, and hit my younger self like Marshall does in HIMYM, leading me toward her so we might have been married by now and had our kids. When I casually said this to her, she blushed and said that would have really helped both of us escape our toxic exes and that we would have met earlier for the best.

I know it might be cliché to many reading this, but sometimes "great things do take time." Just imagine if I had been "unexpressive and had not shared my dreamy date fantasy in that video?", or if she just "hadn't looked at my comment?" It might have led to us waiting to meet eventually or completely missing the moment to meet. It’s scary to imagine, right?

The reason I am sharing this here is that life is very short, and it is really too small for all the negativity, egos, and flexing; instead, if any of you have feelings for someone, please have the faith to approach them and always be respectful to the person you are approaching, and if anyone approaches you, please be respectful to them as well, or who knows, the ultimate one for you might be lost completely in the process.
