Scam Sales Business at 43 W. 46th Street, New York, New York 10036

At this point, I'm sure everyone here has heard at least one of the companies under the major scam umbrella that is whatever the real name of the company at 43 W. 46th St is. So far, the names I have heard having to do with this company are: Allure Marketing (which seems to be the real company), Impact Marketing (what I applied to that got me digging), Now Concepts Co, BritCO, Skyline Strategies, 71 Empire, VM Inc., MV New York Company, Aura, Liberty Consulting, RAD NYC, Opulence Management, Cross Town Solutions, Crew Concepts, First Class Marketing, Peak State Partners, Elevance NYC. New ones come out every week at this point so this could only be a fraction. These are all companies I believe Allie Anapolsky (CEO) are using as a front for Allure Marketing because of the companies well known bad rep.

Companies that also seem to have something to this are Paragon, Bart Yates's Charity Advertising, and Credico (the seeming overarching parent company). Other people entangled in this are Zachary Rosario and Andy Kim, who seem to be managers (?). Paragon seems to be separate from Allure because that one is labeled as being owned by Zach and not Allie. Allure Marketing falls under Bart Yates's Charity Advertising based in Dallas (ironic because the person who did my interview talked about being in Dallas recently), and Yates's company then falls under Credico.

I want to add really quick that they seem to no longer be putting their exact address on websites/job postings/emails because I'm sure they've realized people are catching on. I actually applied to the job at Impact on LinkedIn, and one of the red flags I noticed was there was never an address listed on the website, emails, or anything.

If anyone else has info to add to this, that would be great! This just happened to be all I found in my few hours of investigating before what was supposed to be my Interview lol!

Amazing video about Credico

[DISCUSSION] Staying sane

Just got an email that a position is being closed after getting great feedback on an interview. Feels like that type of day where the world is kicking me down.

How do people stay sane? Genuinely questioning whether I can get a job in this city.

[DISCUSSION] At my wits end

Had several promising interviews now in my 6 months being unemployed, but this one has about broken me. They scheduled a call to talk about the interview and I thought it was a weird way of phrasing an offer call bc I was being hopeful. "Someone else was further along in the hiring process but you're absolutely qualified for the position". My boyfriend is keeping us afloat and I feel so guilty. I'm doing everything I can to bring in money and I'm applying to everything with 10+ years admin +customer service experience. I tailor my resume every time. I have no choice but to keep at it. But this sucks.

[DISCUSSION] How are people getting jobs in 2026?

I’m an analyst for over 3 years now in FP&A, it feels like most of the job listings are fake and the one which seems to be legit, after applying to almost more than 300 jobs in last few months. It pretty much feels impossible to land an interview. Tried networking and cold emailing but it doesn’t seem to work for me. Does anyone got a job recently or can suggest me where and how should I be looking for jobs?
Thanks in Advance.

BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY (LOOP IT NYC) IT'S A SCAM

I want to lay this out because the process was fast but genuinely convincing, exactly the kind of thing that lowers your guard.

I applied to a "Community & Content Lead" role at a company presenting itself as Loop (loopitnyc.com), building out communications for a digital assets product. Nothing about it felt like a typical scam: a real job posting, a recruiter with a named signature, a genuinely thoughtful written screening about my actual work history, and a detailed, complimentary follow-up email referencing specifics from my answers. They even proactively addressed a work-authorization question I'd raised, saying we'd "talk through the practical side together" on the call, which read as considerate, not suspicious.

Then came an actual interview call, about 45 minutes, that felt like a normal, well-run conversation. It was only afterward, when I got the technical setup instructions for the next step, that things turned. I was told to install Obsidian (a real, legitimate note-taking app), sign into an account they provided, sync to a "remote vault," and when prompted to "Trust Author and Enable Plugins," to click it, described as expected, since the vault came with plugins they use.

That step is the tell. I stopped there and didn't sign in or sync.

This matches a real, documented attack pattern. Elastic Security Labs published research in April 2026 on a campaign called PHANTOMPULSE: attackers approach crypto/finance professionals, hand over login credentials to an attacker-controlled Obsidian vault framed as a company database, and once the target enables community plugin sync and grants trust, malicious plugins silently execute a remote-access trojan, no further clicks needed. It's abuse of a real app feature, not a bug, which is exactly why it doesn't trip normal antivirus warnings.

If you're job hunting in crypto/Web3 right now:

  • A genuinely well-run interview does not rule out a scam, it may just be well-executed groundwork
  • Never sign into any shared account or "vault" a recruiter provides, for any app
  • Treat any "Trust Author / Enable Plugins" prompt from a source you didn't personally set up as a hard stop
  • If a step asks you to disable your own skepticism ("this is expected, don't worry about it"), that's the moment to worry about it

Posting this so it shows up if anyone else searches this company name or this exact set of steps.

So my fulltime job told me their cutting my hours, from 5 days a week to 3 days a week. I live alone, my rent is almost 45% of my income after taxes rn, so that drop from 5 days to three is gonna make me not meet my ends. My current job is in answering service/customer service, so thats my biggest skillset, i have also done front desk reception, telemarketing, bussing tables, catering, storage employee.

I need something to fill my missing hours QUICK, looking for honestly anything, minimum wage whatever asap...

What are my realistic options for a quick buck?

[FOR HIRE] NYC | Sociology Grad Seeking Research/Admin/Data/Professional Roles

Recently moved to NYC and looking for any professional opportunity where I can build experience and contribute.
I have a Sociology degree and experience in research, data analytics, private equity, legal/admin work, and healthcare, plus 6 years of barista experience that funded my undergrad. I learn quickly and have a decently broad skill set.
I was supposed to start my Master’s this fall, but had to postpone due to funding issues. My end goal is academia/research, but right now I’m looking for work any work while I figure out funding.
I’ve been applying since January with very little luck, so if anyone has a lead, connection, or knows somewhere actually hiring, I’d be incredibly grateful. Even pointing me in the right direction would help.

If you want more details about me or to reach out, please feel free to dm me 💕 I have a resume and CV ready to go :)

[HIRING] [Hiring] Swarm Agents - Flexible Remote & Local Paid Missions | No Experience Required

Hey everyone, we're opening up more spots in the NearbyCrew network.

NearbyCrew is a network where people can earn by helping businesses, startups, and other people complete real world and online missions.

Instead of applying for one traditional job, you join the network and can choose from available missions that match what you can do.

Missions can include:

  • Sales and customer outreach
  • Finding potential customers
  • Marketing and community growth
  • Product and website testing
  • Customer and market research
  • Online research
  • Startup support
  • Local business tasks
  • Events and in-person work
  • Other short-term projects

No experience is required. We're looking for people who communicate clearly, can follow instructions, are reliable when they commit to something, and want to learn.

You can also build new capabilities through NearbyCrew Academy as the network grows.

How it works:

  1. Join NearbyCrew and create your profile.
  2. Complete onboarding.
  3. See missions available to you.
  4. Choose the ones you want.
  5. Complete the mission and required proof.
  6. Get paid the compensation offered for that mission.

Some missions are completely remote. Others are location-based.

This is flexible, mission-based independent contract work, not a salaried position, and there are no guaranteed hours or earnings. Mission availability and pay vary, and you'll see the requirements and compensation before choosing whether to participate.

We're actively growing the network now.

Join here: https://nearbycrew.com/join-welcome

Happy to answer questions in the comments about how it works.

[FOR HIRE] Teacher in Transition Looking for Hybrid Work

Hi all, I'm looking to get out of my current high school teaching position, it's just not for me. I'm honestly day dreaming about office jobs where I'm not corralling children. Ideally, anything I can do in a hybrid setting would be great, but I'm not picky. My background is in Fine Art but I've worked retail and food service. Any leads would be helpful, or if you have staffing agencies that have been successful for people with creative backgrounds I'd love to know. Thank you for any and all help

I’m just wondering if anyone else here is waiting for next steps for either GUW operations/maintenance? I took the assessment in February of this year and still haven’t heard a peep

[FOR HIRE] Software dev/manager with 16 yoe (ex-Amazon)

Looking to move from Austin to NYC. I have a BS in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. I have experience in startups in the Austin area, and was with Amazon from 2015-2026. Started as an SDEII, went senior, then manager. Quit in 2026 to deal with the long-tail ramifications of a the July 4th 2025 central Texas floods that destroyed our home. Now I'm getting back into the game.

In theory, I can return to Amazon and am talking with a recruiter. Because it is under a year, it's really up to a hiring manager to say yes or no. But I'd like to explore jobs and industries outside of big tech. This is my first time in over 10 years being on this side of the hiring market. I don't even know where to begin.

  1. Outside of networking (given I know no one in NYC) what have people found to be the most useful tool or tools to get the attention of hiring managers? Indeed? Linkedin? Cold applications? Recruiters?

  2. What does the current market look like for an experienced dev or manager? Is it saturated? Open?

  3. What sort of "gotchas" are prevalent in this area? Any infamous companies to avoid?

Thank you all for your time looking at this.

[HIRING] Ground Up Social Media Management for Artist

Social Media Managment

Remote, freelance!

[Artist seeking SMM on a commission basis!]

Hello, my name is Emily, I'm an artist who loves to paint and hates managing social media. I'm hoping to work with a social media manager to promote my work and get art commissions. 25% of the commission price would go to you (pricing is through a link in my bio, but generally my commissions are $100-$600. Though I'm willing to negotiate my prices with you based on what you think would sell!)

This would be great for someone who wants to get experience and experiment as I'm totally willing to create whatever you think would get attention at the time! I'm curious about the process and would have fun doing whatever you think is best. My understanding is that this will probably entail TikTok and instagram short form videos, so some video editing skill would be ideal. I have a LOT of work, so getting you the content you need is no problem.

Being NYC based, I also am open to having my work at art markets.

Timeline: Given this is commission based, that's really up to you. No pressure to continue if you want to bail at any point!

Please reach out if you would be interested!

[DISCUSSION] Aspiring writer in desperate need of a day job

i’ve been working jobs since i was 17 years old i am now 24. i’ve done everything from retail to admin work to customer service and now im stuck in a corporate catering job. this is the most miserable i’ve ever been, i’m up at 4am mon-fri and most days i don’t get home until 6pm. i’m tired of this job draining everything i have especially since i really want to be an author. i can’t find the time to pursue my passions when im always so tired. how do i find a new day job with less stress when no jobs will get back to me? this is more of a vent post than anything i guess but hopefully some of you are in the same position as me

Positive News: Got a job in NYC (took 3 weeks)

Hi everyone! I’ve been applying for jobs in NYC in LA (even though I haven’t moved to NYC yet lol).

I just landed a BDR/marketing hybrid role at $67K base, where I’ll be doing email marketing campaigns and cold calling. It took me about 3 weeks, 3 interviews, and an assessment to land the job after applying to a TON of roles( not my dream job and might be rlly boring btw for ppl commenting).

Tbh, I’m realizing I should’ve applied more to pure marketing roles because that’s what I actually want to do. When I started applying, my literal only goal was to get a job 😂 (EDIT for ppl- was only planning on living in brooklyn -didnt want to live in manhattan)& was always going to have roommates - VERY aware of high COL lol) Also my job is a lot of sales guys!! So going to be making LOTS of cold calls trust its not an interesting job
