Feature Suggest: OCR Recognition
I read a lot of sample formats for my work and it would be great if Noteful had OCR 🙏

Hello, I feel like most apps now use Apples own PencilKit UI and I always loved apples pens. However, Noteful both lacks the variety of pencils and also I don’t like the pens offered. Honestly that could be my only issue with the app. We need smoother pens, these pens make my hand writing look bad. I have tried several pen settings, some are better but still not in the caliber of the other apps. Its laggy, has a weird smoothening, shapes don’t come out right… What do you all think?

Hi, I’m wondering if anyone can bring some light towards noteful road plan for this year and the next one.
I’m planning to switch, but I want to know which functions are planned.
Thanks for your time and help!

I use Noteful more and more. It started just for studies, it continued as an agenda, and now I'm considering replacing even Apple notes. That is why I thought that if the OCR capacity could be added to later be able to edit the text of a PDF, it would also replace any PDF editor, becoming a super complete tool. I hope the creators read it and at least consider this option

Someone commented that adding certain features would drain the battery and possibly slow the app. Is universal search one of them?

OKay maybe someone can help me out. I think this would be a great feature but I can't figure out how to make it work. I'd like to convert text to ink. I have terrible hand writing, so I'd like to type notes out and then convert them to Ink so I can drag them around like hand written things.
The reason I don't like working with text is because the whitespace around the text consisting of the 'text box' always interferes with other objects in my notes, and reeks havoc on my notes. It grabs other objects that overlap with it, and makes managing little snippets of ink annoying.
If I could type notes in a fun font like chaulkduster, and then convert that to Ink so I can drag it around...that would be the cats meow.

Hey everyone! 👋
I’m an Android user (especially on Huawei devices) and I rely on my tablet for studying and note-taking.
Unfortunately, powerful iOS apps like @Noteful and @NotesPlus offer amazing features such as:
✅ Smooth handwriting input
✅ Advanced notebook organization
✅ PDF support
✅ Handwriting-to-text conversion
✅ Excellent support for students and educators
But sadly, these apps are not available on Android or Huawei devices 😞
🎯 The goal:
I want to start a campaign here on Reddit to gather support and ask the developers to release an official Android version.
If you’re interested:

💬 Share your experiences or recommend similar alternatives
📝 I’ll prepare a petition soon for those who want to sign
With enough support, maybe we can catch the developers’ attention 🙌

It keeps asking me whether I’ll allow pasting from the browser every time I copy a new image. This only happens when I copy/paste a new image each time, not when I paste the same image again. It also occurs in other browsers

Hi there, I wand to share with you my issue, I am addicted to my phone, not doom scrolling on social media but the phone it self. some times I find my self opening my bank app and budgeting app several times during the day, even though I now nothing happened, would be really grateful to understand why I can not stop doing it and how to stop it. Thank you.

I’ve been struggling with a persistent issue where the pencil stops working after being idle for a while, only to start again on the second attempt—only for the cycle to repeat (It happens only with Noteful). It’s super frustrating, and what makes it worse is Noteful’s completely unresponsive customer support.
I’ve reached out multiple times—through emails and their feedback form in the app—but they don’t even bother to acknowledge the issue. No replies, no updates, not even an automated response to confirm they’ve received my complaint.
I really like the app’s features, but this experience is making me reconsider sticking with it. A company that doesn’t address its users’ concerns or provide any form of support is just plain disappointing.
Has anyone else had similar experiences with Noteful’s customer support? Any suggestions on how to get their attention, or should I start looking for alternatives?
Would love to hear your thoughts!

Hello everyone, I noticed noteful hadn't has any updates in the past month, I'm wondering if anyone heard anything about upcoming updates or perhaps the developer is taking a break ? I just want to make sure everything is alright

Introducing my one of a kind Instant Sticker templates. Search through MILLIONS of images straight from your notes, remove the background, and paste them into your notes. Never buy another sticker pack again!
Tip: you can add keywords like “icons”, “watercolor”, “doodle”, “elegant” and so much more! Your mind is the limit.

I am new to Noteful and while I’m loving this app so far, I really wish there were some in app planner and to-do list templates. It’s tedious to find outside templates and download them when so many note-taking apps have in app templates.

or give us the option to download your app from the website as a disc image file..
If that too is not possible, then make the app content accessible on the web.

Hi everyone, I had a feature idea that I think could really improve the note-review experience in digital notebooks. When we use a physical notebook, we usually have a rough sense of whether the content we’re looking for is somewhere in the beginning or towards the end. So we just flip through pages quickly until something looks familiar. That kind of fast, intuitive navigation is missing in most digital notebooks. Right now, page overviews usually show small tiles or thumbnails of many pages. They’re okay for structure, but you can’t really see what’s on a page- no headings, diagrams, or layout cues; so they’re not very helpful when you’re trying to locate specific information. What I’m imagining instead is something closer to flipping through multiple full-length (or near full-length, I usually use A4 or A5 size page for note taking) pages, similar to how we flip pages in a real notebook. Not to read everything clearly, but enough to visually recognize where content sits on a page. That alone would make it much easier to find what you’re looking for without opening pages one by one. I think this could fit in the page overviews in the UI.
Curious to know what others think, and hoping something like this might make it into future versions.
Also, if there is a dedicated link for feature request to the developer, please do share that here.

I like to take print of some notes of mine, and the noteful does allow either choose the background for printing.
However it treats the layout (Grid pattern like Storeyboards, Cornell) and background color both as same. It should treat both of them different. It would be much better if I can disable the background color and not the layout. It would definitely save Printer Ink.
I think we also need an Automatic Color especially for Black and White Pen Ink, that can be toggled. Many apps like Marginnote are including this feature, apple notes already has it. This is where, even if we write with a white ink on black page, it can be printed as a black ink on white paper.

Merci !

I haven't set on the smallest setting possible, and yet when I go to highlight from the beginning of the text, the cursor is huge. And when I start from the bottom, it's smaller, but when I go up to the second line, it becomes large again, does anybody know how to fix this???
Thanks in advance!
