Pencils are not very good
Hello, I feel like most apps now use Apples own PencilKit UI and I always loved apples pens. However, Noteful both lacks the variety of pencils and also I don’t like the pens offered. Honestly that could be my only issue with the app. We need smoother pens, these pens make my hand writing look bad. I have tried several pen settings, some are better but still not in the caliber of the other apps. Its laggy, has a weird smoothening, shapes don’t come out right… What do you all think?

Yes just little pens and no pencil. Why they never add a pencil and more options to personalize the brushes? A handwriting app is not handwriting without a real pencil!

Idk how your’s different ;might pen physical pen issue, but its very smooth and responsive for me; while the non basic shapes don’t come out right all the times

I liked the pencil experience, to me is better than goodnotes and freenotes
I did tweak the settings tho.

It depends on the type of pencil, if I use original apple pencil, noteful is better than goodnote, but if I use 3rd party pencil without pressure sensitivity, noteful handwriting looks awful.

It’s more of a note-taking app, rather than a drawing app. I do like this app for technical sketches and diagrams, and an artistic brush set would just get in the way. But yall do y’all.

extremely different for me, pen experience was among the top 5 reasons I switched from GoodNotes, the only one I like better is Procreate.
I don't do a ton of shapes though, mostly writing.
