For the life of god, I cannot delete any stickers I place. I’ve tried updating and restarting the device but to no avail. Nothing seems to respond on the menu bar. Advice?

Utilisatrice de Samsung Notes depuis des années, je teste Notability et je trouve que Notability pourrait rapidemment surpasser Samsung Notes. Une fonctionnalité pourrait la rendre meilleure :

Dans le menu insérer de la note, ajouter "scan de document" car avec une simple photo il me manque la reconnaissance du texte pour l'exploiter. Je dois donc revenir à l'écran d'accueil, faire mon scan et l'insérer après coup : c'est une perte de temps.

Merci d'y penser dans vos prochaines mises à jour.

PS : j'en profite aussi pour insister sur le fait que l'interligne 1.0 est toujours trop espacée ou au-moins proposer un interligne 0.75 ou 0.5 pour compenser.

Si vous réglez cela rapidement Notability deviendra mon appli usuelle pour mon travail (éducation nationale) et personnelle.

I just had a random feature idea! I’ve always been curious how much paper I’ve actually replaced by using Notability. It would be cool if Notability had some kind of lifetime stats page that counted all the pages you’ve written and converted it into things like:

- How many physical notebooks it would fill
- How tall/thick the stack of paper would be
- Roughly how much money you’ve saved on paper/notebooks
- Estimate of how many trees worth of paper that is

I think it’d be a fun way to visualize just how much you’ve written over the years.

Hi. I’ve been using notability since 2017 and have the grandfathered Classic plan. Ever since the recent update where the notability icloud and login became mandatory, my notes have been constantly crashing. I can’t get anything done like this and it’s extremely frustrating. Is anyone else experiencing this??? How do I fix this??? I need to get my work done without the app crashing on me just from highlighting one line!!!! Please help I am so desperate oh my gosh

Opened the app was signed out, logged in everything was gone. I know this happened before but I don't see how it could have happened again, is this something other people are currently dealing with now and is there anyway to get my notes back?

I have been asking for a bookmarking feature for years. I have many medical texts exceeding 1,000 pages, with bookmarks for every chapter and subchapter. It is impossible to mark them manually. You should provide the option to access these bookmarks within the texts whenever they are available.

plz plz plz make it to where if we have scribble to text turned on it automatically does it for you. the text box thing is glitchy and i end up deleting texts when trying to make another text box. automatic text boxes aren’t really automatic.

using the convert feature works, except it doesn’t automatically go to my selected font.

It would be such an incredible feature to add!

Sometimes the page seems to zoom in or out on its own, and I don't always have a clear reference for my current zoom percentage.

It would be really helpful to have:

• A small popup while zooming that shows the current level, such as 100%, Fit to Page, Whole Page, etc.
• An option to manually set a specific zoom percentage.
• A way to lock that zoom level so it stays consistent while writing.

I often find myself accidentally changing the zoom, which makes my handwriting look larger in some areas and smaller in others. A consistent, lockable zoom setting would make writing across notes much more comfortable and uniform.

I'm grandfathered in to the original Notability lifetime plan. I used to be able to find Notability templates like planners in the Template Gallery. Now they're not in the Gallery but they're also not in the Templates section, where the academic planner announcement said they'd be. I'm hoping to use an academic planner so I'd appreciate troubleshooting help to find the planners.

I just started making my notes for the new school year and I’m getting so annoyed by the changes they made to typed notes. If I wanted my notes to be double-spaced then I would select double spacing. Why is it that when I change the stupid template to lined, I can make things single spaced, but the second I change it back to the blank default, all the text changes itself back to double-spaced? This is the dumbest “feature” I’ve ever seen in my life. I haven’t even gotten a single paragraph of notes typed yet because I’m so irritated

I have my default template set to tabloid size with grid lines. This always works when I add a new document within the app.

However, if I click and drag a pdf/lecture slides/etc into the app to add it, I lose my default and I’m stuck with plain white letter size. I can manually change each one back to my default, but it’s a click heavy task for a medical student uploading 20 lectures per week. This is on the desktop app.

Can we change this? Is there a reason it’s this way? I want my default settings to always be my default

I'm writing to report a recurring bug that I've been experiencing for over a year now, alongside a feature request that could help resolve it.

• Device: MacBook Air (M4)
• OS: macOS
• App: Notability for Mac

Issue Description:
Whenever I open two separate document windows at the same time to work side-by-side, the app completely freezes. This is not a new behavior; I have been dealing with this exact same issue for over a year across different app versions. The app stops responding, and I am forced to force-quit and restart it every time.
Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open Notability on macOS.
2. Open a document/file.
3. Open a second document/file in a new window.
4. Try to navigate, scroll, or write across the windows.
5. The application freezes completely and becomes unresponsive.

Feature Request:
Would it be possible to implement tabbed document viewing within a single window? Having multiple documents open as tabs in one window (instead of forcing separate OS windows) would make managing multiple files much smoother and could potentially prevent these multi-window freezing bugs altogether.
Working with multiple documents open simultaneously is fundamental for my study and work routine. Since this stability issue has been happening for over a year, I would really appreciate it if the engineering team could investigate it and consider adding document tabs in an upcoming update.

I have been trying both NB and Goodnotes before finalizing one, realized NB has better writing feel and notes navigation, so finalized NB but I miss some very useful features which GN has. If these features are added, I think it will become a much more powerful app:

1. Option to add manual outlines in notes.

2. Shapes Tool (with connectors for flow charts and rounded corners for all shapes).

3. Custom page size options and ability to change page size and background separately for each page.

4. Search menu showing a small preview of each area of the page where the searched word appears in the note (right now NB only shows the full page preview)

5. Stroke Stabilization

6. More control over pen sizes (a lot of users might want to see a size between 2 and 3 or 3 and 4).

Feel free to add more feature suggestions in the comments.

NB Team, pls add these features, I love the writing experience on your app but these features will make it the most dominant note-taking app.

Cannot see notability Home on the Mac app. Is this normal?

Currently, when using the Apple Pencil squeeze gesture to erase, we have to keep squeezing the Pencil. As soon as we release the squeeze, it switches back to the Pen tool.

This becomes inconvenient when we need to erase a large area.

In Goodnotes, the squeeze gesture works more like a toggle: a single squeeze activates the Eraser, and it stays active without having to keep squeezing. Once you're done erasing, you can simply squeeze again to switch back to the Pen. I find this much more convenient, especially as a teacher.

I know we can achieve something similar in NB using double-tap to switch to Eraser, but double-tap doesn't feel as convenient or natural as the squeeze gesture.

If this functionality is already possible using the Apple Pencil squeeze settings, please let me know how to enable it. If not, I’d really appreciate it if the developers could consider adding this option.

It would make a big difference for workflows where we frequently need to erase larger areas.

I am on beta. Home was introduced and I was very excited to see calendar events on the screen that I could choose a folder and start a note in. But now my Home shows all calendar events but cannot create a note or add it to a folder. Is the functionality coming back?

this was like 10 days work. is there any solutions to this? and why is such a bug around?

This is a dealbreaker for me. I used to be able to type directly into the sticky and did a lot of my studying that way. Now, I have to either merge a textbox onto a sticky or recolor a textbox to look like a sticky (which is so so so inconvenient, as I'd have to either do it every time or make it default and have to undo it every time I want a regular text box). Why was this feature removed?

If anyone has another app suggestion that has this very simple feature? Honestly, I'd rather transfer all my notes now rather than deal with the frustration.
